Can't Stay (Roleplay)

Leonardo sat in his room, watching the shadows on his blank walls. As his door opened, he waved his hand. "Hey, Mark," he muttered. A tanned hand rested on his shoulder.

"Leo! Where's your mask!?" The other cried. He combed his fingers through his blonde hair, staring down at his friend. Leo pulled out a small gray face mask, standing up slowly. Mark sat down on his bunk, looking over at Leonardo.

The redhead sat on his bed, glancing over at his friend. He dropped the mask on the ground, not minding Mark's complaints. "It's just..."

"What?"

"It's just I'm afraid for Jemma."

Mark stopped. "About her being... a demon?" He whispered, pulling his blue face mask off.

Leo nodded. "Sure. Just things."

Leo inspected his pack for the field. A rest mat, some meager snacks, a flask of water, and a lamp with matches. If he was going out for a week, he would need to find more food out there.

He frowned, throwing a cloth into the bag. It had a black, gray, white, and purple strip on it. Perfect, show his pride to the birds and bugs. This would be a long week without Mark and Jemma.

"Ready, Leonardo?" A shout came in. He had defined freckles on his nose, blue eyes, and sand-brown hair. He slapped a green cap onto Leo's head, matching the one on his own. Leo nodded. He stood up, heading to the small door by the corner. "Let's go, then!" The other said cheerfully. He skipped over to the doorway, throwing it open. A hot wind hit the two's faces as they stepped out.

"Sammy, let's be slower," Leo muttered. "We're scouts, remember. Don't use up your energy on people who can't see you."
