A character in a movie or tv show or comic/graphic novel or book or video game breaks the fourth wall and ends up literally breaking the fourth wall, causing the characters to fall out of their story into the real world.

This can be used for fanfiction and original story characters.

Trevor rolled his eyes as he continued trying to concentrate on the book he was reading. His younger brother was in another room watching that Sonic Boom show again, and it was getting annoying. Yeah, the animation was pretty good, and Sonic was one of his biggest fandoms, but the characterizations and appearances were all weird. Except Tails, for the most part.

"(Insert 4th-wall-breaking quote here)"

He smirked as he heard that. It was always amusing to him whenever a fictional character broke the fourth wall. A few seconds later, he heard the sound of glass cracking, then shattering, then several thuds and groans. He ran into the other room to see what the noise was. "Danny, was that you, or something...on the tv...?"

He gasped at the sight that met his eyes, and had to do a double-take just to make sure he wasn't just seeing things. There, on the floor in a pile, were Sonic and friends, and Eggman and his two robots.

If it's a movie/show, would the size of the device it's being watched on affect the size of the characters when they break out? For example, would characters that broke out of a tablet or phone be the same size as characters that broke out of a large television, or would they be smaller?

And would the medium they come from affect them in the real world? For example, if they came from a comic book, would they use speech bubbles when they talk? If they come from a 2D (to us) environment, would they be 2D in the real world?
