Intro/Author's Note
I daydream quite a bit, and a lot of my daydreams are started by imagining simple sentences or conversations. Since I rarely take these ideas anywhere other than my imagination, I decided to let you readers have the opportunity to make these ideas go somewhere.
These ideas can be used for almost anything, really. Fanfictions, general fiction, fantasy, some could be used for historical fiction and dystopian future stories; there are so many possibilities!
Some of these may be just conversations, some of these will have more detail.
My format may be a bit confusing, so here's how it will be set up:
A description of a story setting, and perhaps some notes on the character.
~~~~~~~ (some squiggles as a separator)
The short story piece that inspired the story conflict and/or character(s).
(a blank row to indicate that the above-mentioned things can be used on their own if you so desire)
~~~~~~~ (some more squiggles as another separator)
(Not all entries will contain extra material, but those that do will have an italic parenthetical notation that will say: If you'd like more to work with, see below)
And for those who would like more to work with, either an addition to the setting, conflict and character description, or an extension of the story piece to make things a bit more interesting.
If you are going to use any of these ideas, here are my three rules:
1: Please give credit to me for the idea in your book's description, or if it's a one shot, at the beginning of the one-shot. It's part of the copyright license, otherwise you may not use these prompts.
2. Please do not copy it word for word in your story. Make it your own! Use words that you would use, and change it up a bit. If you don't like the POV, feel free to change it.
3. And please tag me when you publish it. I would like to read it!
Also, for those people who don't look at the copyrights, this book has a CC BY copyright license, which allows you to write and change it however you want, as long as you give credit to me in the finished and published story. So feel free to go anywhere with these prompts!
Now that that's over, let's move on to the prompts!
