It's the hottest rage: VR chips. It enables a person to live in their virtual world of choice. They are selling out like crazy.

How many of them are looking for freedom? Freedom from parents, whose expectations they can't live up to? Or daily life, which seems boring in comparison to others'?

To be fair, it is tempting.

I'm about to become one of them.

"Goodbye problems. Goodbye world."

I look at my dark room one last time and implant the chip. It only stings for a moment.

I open my eyes.

Here, the sun shines.

Here, I am free.
