Here are a few rules to make everyone's time here more enjoyable:

Make sure to read all of them, they're important!!!

1-Short must use main character and stick with her appearance, personality, past experiences, etc...

2-You must use good grammar. Not saying it has to be perfect, but please no text writing (except maybe for actual text messages). If you're not such a good speller, then please use spellcheck.

3-Minimum around 750 words. No maximum, but remember you're only writing a chapter!

4-You can add as many other characters as you'd like, and use ones from previous chapters. Remember you're also allowing following writers to use your added characters in the next chapters of this book if they want. You may not use characters which are not your property or part of this book. (For example, you couldn't add in Harry Potter or Batman.)

5-Other writers may continue a scene on a location and with creatures of your invention if you have put them in your chapter, so if you made up a creature you are really proud of and are using in your own story, I would advise not putting it in this one if you're not comfortable with other people using it as well on here.

6-Leave ways for the next writer to freely continue the chapter. Don't end your chapter in a way that will "force" the next writer to write a certain situation, it'll just be more fun for everyone that way:)

Example:

"I went up to the man, decided to tell him what had happen. I caught his attention and he turned towards me, willing to hear me out." The end.

Here the next writer kind of has to follow up on the conversation... Whereas if you first had the character hold the conversation, then thank the man, before ending the chapter, then the next writer can decide to completely forget about the man if they want to.

7-You can use any point of view you'd like. (3rd or 1st person, and if 1st person, put the name of which ever character your using at the top of the chapter to avoid confusion.)

8-The main character's world is up to you to build, so let your imagination run free! Maybe she'll fall through a portal and find herself in New York, but maybe after a day of walking she'll arrive in a forest of fairies. (Nearly) everything is allowed!

9-No R-rated content.

10-Don't steal other people's idea. You (and your partner if you have one) must come up with your own. (This exclude, of course, using characters added previously in this story.)

11-If you also want to write a chapter, leave a comment on this chapter ("Rules") only. (It would be too complicated for me to keep up if you all sent me PMs or wrote comments asking to be a part of this on every chapters:) )

12-Don't forget to have fun writing and reading!
