Chapter 26

Right as I was about to step out of the cave I remembered the sword that I had found.

"Hey Amara, I found this in a dark room right before we found you." I said lifting up the sword. "I was wondering, since you said that you used to be a warrior for my mother, is this yours?"

She turned and her pupils got very wide when she saw the blade.

"It also started to glow really bright when we first got close to you. So..... I was just wondering."

"No," she murmured. "That is not mine. I have my own. That blade's sister blade belongs to me. The sword that you hold in your hand belonged to my captain."

"Your captain?" Galacia inquired.

"You mean that this belonged to-" I started looking at the weapon.

"Your mother, Stelliana. Yes it is hers. Though how you found it I have no idea."

"So because it got close to your sword my mother's glowed?"

"Yes." Amara confirmed. "It was so that we could always find eachother, especially durning battle."

"So why did it glow when Stella first picked it up then pointed it at each of us, but glowed brighter when she pointed it at herself?" Covie asked.

"Hmmm. Perhaps your mother put an inheritance spell on it so that it would glow for it's next master. But don't take my word for it, ask your mother if we find her."

"Don't you mean when?" Covie inquired.

"Yes, of course. When. Not if. When." Amara corrected hastily.

I looked at Amara as she washed behind her ears nervously. I wonder what that's about? I waited for about three seconds wondering why Leo hadn't responded to me then I remembered that Leo wasn't here or with us anymore.

I sighed and watched Amara sway out of the cave entrance like only a cat could.

She looked over her shoulder at us as we hesitated in the cave entrance. "Well come on! But be quitet, I don't want anything to find this cave."

"Where are we going?" Briar asked.

"A special grove of trees. We'll be safe there while we talk. It's not too far."

We crept silently through the underbrush and trees for a mile except for when Aquilo stepped on a twig and it snapped. We all froze for a minute expecting an attack from Stalwart and Galvano. After a minute had passed we breath a sigh of relief and kept moving.

"We're here." Amara said briefly before she slipped through a small gap between two trees. It was so small that we had to walk single file to follow her. When it was my turn I stepped through and felt a chill run through my body.

I rubbed my arms as I stepped away from the gap. "What was that?" My hair was standing on end.

"A shield." Amara awnsered. "A protective nymph shield to be exact. No evil can get in."

"So we're safe?" Covie asked.

"Yes."

"Okay so we can talk now." I said. "First question. What are you?"

"I'm a nymph. A dryad if you want to be technical. This is my grove and my shield that I put up." Amara awnsered gesturing to the trees around us. "My ability to change into a tree was traded for my ability to turn into a cat though."

"Do you know where our mother is?"

"Relatively."

"Can you teach us anything?"

"Actually I can. Do you have your orbs?"

We all pulled them out.

"Okay there is many things you can do with these balls of magic. One of them, the ability to transport, you have already discovered yes?"

"Right."
"Well they can can also be used or tracking people and finding places and things." Amara started. " They also can be used to heal all wounds and even unwanted curses and transformations. They aid in communication with animals and other languages, camouflage, and protection."

All those I can use to save Leo! I thought.

"Camouflage?" Galatia asked.

"They can make you invisible or blend into the background so that you can be unseen."

"Protection?"

"It puts up a shield." Amara said. "Also you can transform into animals using it.

"Wow!" Aquilo exclaimed.

"Yes. All of these tools will be useful for the eight of you to use to recuse your mother." Amara paused then looked at us. "Wait where is the eighth? There is only seven of you."

I stepped forward a little. "Leo, my brother. He is the one who is missing."

"Where is he?"

"He was kidnapped by Galvano and turned into a werewolf."

"Well then. Slight change in plans. First we must rescue Leo." Amara said turning back into a human form. "Then we release Stelliana. Because we can't save her without Leo there."

Omg guys I'm so sorry for the wait. I'm a terrible terrible procrastinator, especially when it comes to writing. Funny thing is that I also love writing. (I'd just rather read.) anyways I have two books published here on wattpad. One is an original novel. It's called Found and it's about a girl who got kidnapped in the 1500s. Jump forward to present time she finds her brothers who were part of a triplet set with her. It involves magic and stuff so it's really cool. And I promise where it is stopped right now I have the next chapter completely written out on paper, I just don't have it typed so I'll try to get that up soon. The other book I have is a book of monologues that you actor people would like and the basic theme of them all is Percy Jackson Greek mythology. Anyways read them vote on them and follow me!
