-=+=- Stella's POV -=+=-
I looked around, taking in the more elegant features of the gate, now that we knew how to enter. It was beautiful. The entire gate was made up of tiny, delicate snowflakes. Every tiny flake was different.
The gate went at least six smeter high, if not more. The tip was covered in a light dusting of snow that sparkled in the sunlight.
I grabbed Leo's hand and skipped around the gate. The small town that we entered was just as beautiful as the gate we had just entered from was. The houses, all made of glistening snow, stood in small rows, their little chimneys sticking up into the blue sky.
One of the houses caught my eye. I'm not sure what was so different about it, as all the houses appeared the same. I went over to the door, and knocked. It was a risky move, but maybe the residents knew of our siblings.
The door opened, and a teenage boy opened it, with two girls standing behind him.
One of the girls' icy blue eyes stared into mine, and a flash of recognition went through them. She turned to the boy, and whispered something in his ear. He nodded, and turned to us. His eyes scanned me, then Leo, studying our features. He nodded slightly, then smiled.
"Are you Leo and Stella, children of Stelliana and Leonardo?"
I looked him in the eyes, and nodded. "We are. And you are?"
"I am Acorus, and this is Teriana and Briar. We live here. Why are you here?"
What do we say? I thought to Leo. Should we tell him what we are doing? I glanced over at him, and he gave me a look. then thought to me Yes.
I looked back over at the boy - Acorus - and began to tell our story. How we came to this land, and what we were doing. Betasy, Leo and the Columans added in a few details I missed, but overall I think Acorus, Briar and Teriana got the message.
"So, you are here to meet us, and continue your journey?"
"Yes," I said.
"I might stay here," Uncle John said, grabbing my arm, "It looks quite cold in there, and I'm not used to the cold." I nodded, and looked over at Betasy and the columans.
"He is right," Cealie said, "It's quite hot here. Caluroso is known for it's heat. I think it would be best if us natives stayed out here. We might go exploring."
"Caluroso?" I asked.
"Oh, didn't we tell you? This place is called Caluroso." Betasy piped up.
"OK, that sounds nice." Leo said. "Anyway, we should get going. Stella, Glacia, Aquilo, come."
"Yeah, " I said, " We will be back here soon." I turned to leave, and Leo did the same.
"Wait!" I heard Betasy's voice.
"Yeah?"
He pulled something out of his pocket and handed it to Leo. "Here. Take this, and when you guys are ready, use it to come to us."
I nodded. "Got it."
Leo and I followed Acorus, Briar and Teriana through the ice house. It was bigger then it appeared from the outside. We went through hall after halll, room after room. There were many paintings, all of the same woman and man.
Leo?
Yeah, what's up sis?
Who are those people in the paintings? They seem to be a recurring figure.
I don't know. Leo stopped in front of the next painting, and looked at it. I slowed down, and stood by him.
"Acorus." I called. He turned and came over to us. "Who are these people?"
Teriana stopped, came over and answered softly, "That is Stelliana and Leonardo."
"Our mother and father." Leo whispered.
Acorus stared at me. "Your parents?"
I nodded. "Yes."
"I... Acorus." Teriana stuttered out. She seemed at loss for words.
"I know, Teri. I know. Stella, Leo, we too are your siblings. There are three of us, living in this house, Briar, Teri and I."
"Three?" I repeated.
"Yes, three."
Weren't we meant to meet our siblings on a cliff, where our mother was kidnapped? And there were 5 siblings? Leo's voice came into my mind.
Yes. I said, Yes. The prophecy thing said that two will meet, that's us. Five will meet on the cliff. We have found the five. Then we become seven.
"Acorus, Teriana, Brair, are you Stelliana and Leonardo's children?"
"We are." Acorus replied, his voice wobbling a bit.
"Do you know of the prophecy?" Leo asked.
"Yes."
"So, if this is where two become seven, this must be where Stelliana was kidnapped." I said.
"I guess," Acorus stated. We began walking again, and took a left down another of the winding hallways.
-=+=- -=+=-
After about 10 more minutes of dawdling down the long corridors, we came to a small room, with a large couch sitting in the middle. Acorus stopped, and motioned for us to sit down.
Everyone sat down, and I had time to get a good look at Teriana, Acorus and Briar. The two girls, Teriana and Briar, were very much like Glacia and I. One had her nearly white hair cut into a short pixie bob, and the other's light blonde locks were just past her shoulder. The one with the pixie bob looked around 17, while the other looked 15ish.
The girl with the pixie bob spoke first. "Let's start with proper acquaintances, perhaps. Hi, I am Briar. How are you?"
I nodded, "Hi. I'm Stella, and this is Leo." I said, gesturing to Leo, who was sitting beside me, looking around at the room.
The girl with the longer hair smiled at me. "Hi, I'm Teriana. It's good to finally meet you."
Who is who again? Leo thought to me. I wasn't paying much attention.
I shook my head. Ok, so the one with the bob, that's Briar. The boy is Acorus, and the girl with longer hair is Teriana.
Got it. Leo thought back.
"Ok, so what now?" Aquilo spoke up, breaking the silence that has fallen upon the small room.
"Well, what do you guys know of the prophecy?" Leo asked.
"Um," Briar said, "Isn't it like we meet where Stelliana was kidnapped, on a cliff, go find her and end the war?"
"Yup, that's it." I said.
"Are there any cliffs around here?" I asked, referring to the prophecy.
"Yes, actually. This city, Kindandis, is built on the edge of a cliff."
"Does anyone around here know or remember Stelliana personally?" I questioned them.
"I'm not sure, everyone in this town is kind of secluded." Acorus said.
"Oh. But do you think maybe this is the cliff where Stelliana was kidnapped?"
"Maybe. Especially since this is where the 7 meet. Like the prophecy said, Seven will meet of the cliff where it began, or something like that. Acorus, Teriana, you, Leo, Glacia,Aquilo and me." Briar said, counting us all off on her fingers.
"Should we go see? Ask around, see if anyone saw anything?" I asked. I was getting excited. We were getting close to solving this!
"Probably." Teriana said.
"Well, lets go then!" Leo jumped up from the couch, his hair bobbing a little bit as he bounced. I saw Briar jump up with him, and turned to leave. The rest of us slowly got up from the very comfortable couch we were stationed at. We all went up, and began towards the door.
I can't believe it. I thought out to Leo. We have gone so far. We have the family, and now we set out to find Stelliana - our mum.
I know, but what now? What if this isn't the cliff, where do we go from here?
I'm taking a wild guess here, but maybe we continue to the other 2 points of the map, S and E, right?
I think so. Leo gasped, and I looked at what he was looking at.
It was a cliff. I was only meters away from falling down. "Well, I guess we found the cliff." I glanced around. There were a few snow houses scattered around. "Should we ask the people in the houses if they know anything? About Stelliana, the prophecy, anything."
"Good idea." Acorus said. He started for the closest snow house. We all ascended the icy steps slowly, and crowded around the small door.
Hi, I'm -Sugar-Kitten-, but call me Hannah. I am a sort-of writer, meaning I start on an idea, then stop. That's my style, which is why I thought the Writing Game would be perfect. I have no full-on responsibilities for a whole book, but can enjoy writing a great chapter. I do editing, but you guys will have to PM me and then I'll get you to email me any editing, since Wattpad doesn't allow me to copy-and-paste the chapters. And I make covers.
So, I am a multi-working person. Filler chapters, editing and covers. Simplistic is my style.
Anyway, if you guys wanna PM me and chat, go ahead! I have heaps of spare time on my hands now. School is out for me! Yay!
Anyway, I'm out. Bye!
Note by MLB998:
Future writers please note: this story will have to end one day, and it's okay if it does. Those who haven't written yet will get to be part of the sequel or another book. This being said, I think -Sugar-Kitten- not only gave us a good summary of the prophesy but also leads for the book to go on for several other chapters.
