Chapter Nine

Stella's POV

We crept into the old building. Our footsteps echoing past the walls. Thoughts were forming in my mind. What if they killed Leo ? What if we were too late ?

When suddenly I heard voices

It's the guards, Leo informed

" Let's kill him " One said

" No, Her majesty wants him alive " The other said

" Oh right, so he can lead us to the compass right? " another one said

" Berg, What does a compass have to do with this ? " The first said in a sarcastic tone

" Yeah, can't forget that Berg's a big idiot " Laughed the second

We froze, listening to the on going conversation. When Horan, a red columan stepped on a twig

" Who's there ? " The guards shouted

" Run ! " Alberta yelled

" How about Leo ? " I asked

" We'll get him later "

I quickened my pace, the guards were close. When my orb fell from my pocket. A binding light covered the room

Leo's POV

Ugh, these guards...

When are they gonna let me go ? I told them I didn't have anything valuable. And they always argue.

I heard a twig snap, and turned my head towards the sound. It was Stella.

Uh oh. The guards chased after them, leaving the key to my cell on the ground. Such idiots. When a green light burst out. Well, here's my chance.

I reached out for the key and twisted it in the lock. Well, looks like I didn't need rescuing.

Stella's POV

The light blinded the guards so they crashed into each other and lost sense of direction

So we were peacefully walking out of the building when someone bumped into me

" Hey ! Watch where you're-- Leo ! You escaped ? "

" Yeah, mind introducing who you're with ? "

" Oh, Leo meet Alberta, Alberta, this is Leo "

Why the heck is her skin purple ? Leo mind-asked

Well, these people are columans they have different colored skin. Just stick around, you'll get used to it. Also, they're assisting us on our journey. I mind-replied back

What !?! He exclaimed

Our thoughts got interrupted-( No pun intended )-by Alberta

" Nice to meet you " Alberta said as she offered a hand

Leo took it

" I say we go to my cottage for a plan up ? " Asked Alberta

" Sure " We all agreed

Stella's POV

" Alberta ? " Leo asked

" Yes, What is it ? "

" The guards were talking about a compass, do you know what that means ? "

" Well, it is believed that the siblings of Stelliana and Leonard will be located at the four corners : N, E, S, And W "

" So we've got to head there ? "

" Yes, you and I are quite on the same page. But the compass isn't any ordinary one. N doesn't stand for North, nor do the others "

" So what do they stand for, ? "

" Well... N stands for the Wind, because if you head North, it will get cold " Alberta explained

" Well... Aren't there hot winds too ? " Leo argued

" I do believe so, but whoever designed this compass wasn't thinking clearly "

" How about East ? "

" E stands for Earth, If you head there, you will reach an Enchanted forest " Alberta explained, continuing

" While S stands for fire, the opposite of N. When you head that direction it will become hot "

" Like this desert ? "

" Yes, but hotter... You might even face volcanoes. And on the last one, W which stands for water. Head there and you will find an Aquatic kingdom "

" So our siblings will be located there, right ? " I asked

" Yes Stella, they will be located there. Find three girls and two boys with orbs that look like you. Shouldn't be too hard since your orbs will glow when they're near others "

" Wait, orbs ? " Leo asked

" Yeah, I'll explain that to you later Leo " I told him

" So that green light was your orb ? " A very curious Leo asked

" Well yes... It fell out "

" You should go get it "

" Oh no, it'll just find it's way back " I said while taking out my green orb from my pocket, showing Leo

" Anyway, we must find the compass, right ? " I asked

" Well, there were sayings that the children of Stelliana and Leonard will come across it "

" Oh " I said, letting that sink in

" So we'd better get going ? " One of the columans asked

" Yes Simon, we do. Tell everyone to gather their things and we'll be starting off tomorrow morning "

" I'm on it "

" Get going, we must hurry "
