Chapter 18

Stella's POV:
We knocked on the door quietly and opened up to see well what looked like a quite angry woman. "What do you want?" she asked impatiently.
"Um, We are here wondering about the cliff close by".
"Don't know anything about it".
Wow how rude said Leo in my head.
Be nice I replied, she might help us.
All of a sudden we heard a loud banging noise and a scream "Headmistress, Freak's at it again". The lady growled under her breath, completely forgetting about us she ran upstairs.
We walked inside unnoticed and we saw at least twenty children downstairs ranging from thirteen to three.
Briar looked around "What is this place?".
The lady who seemed to have the tile Headmistress came back looking annoyed "I'm sorry the children can be quite...unruly" she said it a cold tone. Some of the children backed away in fear. "Well you should be going now" she said shoving Aquilo out the door. "Hold on we aren't going anywhere until we get some answers" said Briar.
We heard an even louder bang with muffled voices upstairs. I looked at Leo and we ran upstairs as the voices grew louder. The voices were the loudest in front of a room which had the word FREAK carved deeply into it. I slowly opened the door and saw a girl with long black hair scribbling random words and drawings onto the walls along with a girl who was about seven years old talking to her. "You really should find her you know they're getting worse everyday". The girl with long black hair who seemed a lot older than the children downstairs didn't reply, she just kept on scribbling the random words and drawings. Leo looked at me The girl who is drawing seems kind of weird. "Well thats not very nice" said the black haired girl. Leo's eyes widened and looked at her. "Did you just-" "Read your mind? Yes, yes I did". The rest of our siblings walked upstairs "What the heck?" said Briar. The room had drawings and words everywhere except on the ceiling.
The girl with blonde hair looked at us all "I'm sorry she does this a lot to keep herself in check. I'm Sophie by the way what are all your names?"
"Um I'm Stella these are my siblings Leo, Aquilo, Glacia, Briar, Acorus and Teriana". The girl with black hair turned around and the first thing I noticed were her eyes, they were a mix of pale violet and pale grey but very prominent, she was short and looked about the age of seventeen if I was correct, she said "I'm Shayyden but you can call me Shay for short". She looked at Acorus dead in the eyes and said "Yes they are natural in case you haven't noticed I don't think anyone here HAS eye contacts". Acorus just looked stunned and a little freaked out by Shay. She stopped drawing and looked at us "I assume you are here to ask some questions so ask away".
I opened my mouth, but no questions came to my mind. Leo decided to ask questions "What do you know about the cliff over there?" "The place where the sorceress was? Yes, well no not much only that I have to find her". We all looked at each other worried. Could we trust her? Was she a threat?
"No I'm not a threat first of all I just think she can help me with my powers"
"Your powers?" I asked hoping to get some answers. She pressed her lips together looking like as if she said to much.
Sophie popped up "Um, I think I have a letter; it was at the cliff a couple of years ago" she went to the small room across the room and came out with a letter that looked like it could crumble at any second.
Dear children of mine,
I assume you found the cliff and each other all right. The two children before can help you, but be careful of the one with grey eyes she can't exactly control her gift. She has the power of, well the easiest way to put it is the mind without going into too much detail. The cliff is a portal and you will find a new land there I can't say where it will lead, I'm not even sure where this place is myself, but you must get there and soon they're coming to get you. You only have two hours to figure out how to open the portal. Good luck children and be safe.

I stared at the letter. Who was coming, and what did they want to do?
Shay looked at me hesitantly. "I'll go so will Sophie we have to hurry they're coming"
"Who's coming?" Leo asked
"THEY are" replied Shay.
"Yea but who is they?" asked Briar and her tone started getting annoyed.
Shay looked around nervously "Spies everywhere, dammit! We don't have time for this we have to go now!" She grabbed Sophie and my hand and dragged us out of the room.
"Where do you think you're going now?" said the Headmistress with a steely tone.
"Away" replied replied Shay with a tone full of delight "Away from you and this hell". She dragged us out of the door and slammed it in the Headmistress's face. "Alright lets get going, don't want THEM to find us now do we" she smirked.
As we started walking towards the cliff Leo said "I still don't understand who them is".

Hi I'm Dhalen8 I'm trying to start writing even though it's quiet difficult find time for it, but hey i did get this chapter out now didn't I? I'm currently working on a Harry Potter fanfiction. (Potterheads unite!) I'm currently working on the third chapter before I upload it to wattpad so wait patiently its coming. I'm still working on the plot (yes i know bad idea) and title. I want to thank MLB998 for letting me write a chapter in the Writing Game and I can't wait to see how the book works out. Bye
