Chapter Eight

"We didn't really think he was the Leo." said a green-skinned Columan.

"We. . .sort of locked him up." said a younger Columan who had grey-almost white skin.

"You what!?" I exclaimed. Why would they do that? Were these people violent? Did they do anything else to him?Why was I so worried about Leo? Must be a twin thing. Even if they get you on your last nerves.

"Don't worry we'll get him out." said a turquoise-skinned one.

A couple of the Columans ran away while I just stared at the rest of them.

"Hi! I'm Cealie." said a yellow-skinned Columan. I like her!

"Hi Cealie!" I said cheerfully, at least we were trying; the others just blankly looked at us.

Alberta stepped in. "We'll go with you until you meet your brothers and sisters but after that you will have to be on your own. Don't worry we'll guide you and tell you everything we know and deem necessary."

I didn't really like the idea of being left alone with some strangers and having to go on some dangerous journey but I guess I should trust and try to get along with these guys. They were family. So instead I just nodded my thanks.

Just then the couple of Columans that left to get Leo returned pale-face. Well as pale-faced as colored people could get.

"What happened?" Alberta worriedly asked.

"H-he's gone." trembled the green-skinned one.

WHAT!? I didn't say this out loud because I just couldn't speak.

What if those mean guards that I heard about had him? That would be horriful! Oh horriful is actually a mash-up of horrible and awful. I made it up when a certain somebody won't speak to me.

Wait what?

Why am I thinking of that crap!? I just found out that my twin brother whom I never known I had, had been kidnapped right before I had to go on a crazy magical adventure, to find my siblings and save my sorceress mother! And I was thinking of a mash up!?

I inwardly groaned, Why did I agree to this?

I calmed my brain and asked "What do we do?"

"I don't know. . . it's hard to get past those soldiers maybe you should go on with the journey your self?" said a Columan that had some weird sort of brownish skin.

"Hold your tongue, Gwire!" said Alberta, "you know quite as well as any of us that we can't do that, for they have to go together."

"So? What's the big deal? We'll bust him out before they realize and be on our way." said a red-skinned one with and 'I don't care' attitude.

"Oh typical Marve, you know it won't be so easy." said Cealie.

"Look there are seventy of us plus Stella, we'll work something out." said Alberta calmly.

How could they be so calm!? Why are they just sitting there? I have no idea why I cared so much I just met him and during the time I'd seen him we hardly said two word to each other. But I just cared.

"OK so they are on the Northern side, I'm sure of that. A couple of years back Telle took an accidental trip there and judging from what she said there is one spot which is not guarded. And not far off are the cells. This is a ruined kingdom which means the materials used would not be strong. So there is a pretty good chance we could get Leo out of there. " said Alberta.

"Gwire, Marvel, Nevel, Iline, Diviel and Kelis your athletic abilities will help us distract the guards near the East gate. Just in case something goes wrong I want Kenne, Istan, Liffil and Jocen will to stay out of sight but near Group 1 with their preferred weapon and to be ready to leap into action at any moment." Alberta continued giving out orders for each gate and corner sounding so much like a war captain.

Finally she got to the group that was actually going to go to the dungeons or wherever they kept prisoners. "Stella, Nuri, Meryl, Hrona and I are going to go get Leo. All we have to do is sneak through the area not guarded and keep walking, but we have to be very cautious because we don't know exactly where the guards are. We also have to be prepared for any attack or anything at all. It won't be long before we get there and then we'll just break the cell he's in." she said proudly finished.

War captain or not it was a good strategy.

And then I heard it.

Hello! Is anyone there!?!

Huh who was that? I looked around even though I was sure no one had just said that. They were all quietly discussing what was just said.

Anyone! At all?!

Who is this? I mentally asked.

Who are you? And what are you doing in my head?

It sounded a lot like. .

.

Leo!?

Stella!? How did you get in my head?

I'm not in your head, idiot. Oh and by the way we're twins.

Huh? That was expected, and are you saying we could mind-link?

YES! I can mind-link someone!

Stop cheering, stupid! I'm kidnapped!

Oh right. . .sorry and Hang in there I'M COMING TO SAVE THE DAY!

My hero! was the sarcastic reply.

The least he could do was think me. Ugh! I turned around and everyone was staring at me. I guess it would be weird. Staring, in thin air and grinning like a fool.

I turned to them and shouted. "LET'S GO!"
