Welcome to the month of July and to this new contest that we bring to you with a new format!

This challenge is titled as "The Group Clash" which will go live on 1st of July, and will continue till 31t August. Yes, this is a two months contest where the groups will be challenged at various stages and the winner will be the group that holds their checkpoint till the very end!

📌📌 Here are a few steps that will guide you to this journey:

STEP 1: Create your group: You will have to create your own group and come up with a unique team name. There needs to be a total of two participants in one group. You are more than welcome to ask your friends, or other new ones to be your group partner. In fact you can leave a comment in this chapter's comment section and ask if anyone is willing to form a group with you. Once your group of a total of two members has been created, think of a creative, unique name for your team. Once finalized, comment your group name and members in it by the end of this chapter. The deadline to create a team is 22nd July. No new teams will be accepted post the mentioned date.

STEP 2: On 2nd July, we will publish the list of prompts in a new chapter. Each team then needs to go through the list and claim one prompt as their own. Once a prompt has been claimed, no other team can claim the same prompt, they will have to pick from the remaining ones.

STEP 3: 3rd July - 23rd July is the writing period for Stage 1. The teams will write their respective entries and keep it locked and safe! 23rd is not the deadline of submission. All stages' submissions will be done after 25th August. The teams have time of two months to complete their entries at various stages. You can obviously co-write with your group members, as per your own comfort and convenience.

STEP 4: 24th July - 2nd August is the period of Stage 2 of the contest, where all the teams will be given yet another challenge by us. The details will be revealed later. A hint: Stage 2 will not be a writing challenge!

STEP 5: 3rd August - 25th August is our Stage 3. This will also be the last stage of this contest. Here, the teams will face each other. Once again we will publish a list of various prompts and the teams will pick prompts to challenge each other. But there is a twist at this stage. The story written by the team will not be of the same genre as the prompt. Let's understand this via an example:

Example: Team Emerald challenges Team Goth-Queens by picking a Horror/Paranormal prompt. The Goth-Queens now can create a story around that prompt of any genre other than Horror/Paranormal.

One team can only challenge one other team. Once any team has been challenged, their status will be updated in the chapter, and no other team can challenge that very group again. Similarly, the team which has challenged any other team, they cannot challenge a new group again. In case of odd numbers, we will give the challenge to the remaining team.

📌 Each Stage will have one winning team. Ultimately, the Grand Winner will be one evaluated after combining the scores of all the three stages. This also means the teams are not bound to take part in all the stages, they can opt to take part in any one as well. However, they will be out of the race of grand winner this way!
