Hello there, kittypet. Ah, so you've come for the story of the Clans? I, myself, used to be part of MistClan. What story would you like, hmm?
Oh, how they where created? Yes, many cats enjoy that one.
Get comfortable, it's quite long.

Once, there was a cat. She was named Misty. Her mate was Sky, a shy tom from WindClan. He spent moons explaining the ways of the Clan to Misty and her brother, Flare. After a few moons, they, as in Misty and Sky, had kits. Sky passed his knowledge to his kits, Parch, Quill and Ink.
After the kits were 7 moons, Sky grew away from them. And a couple moons later, Sky left and became a kittypet, like you.

This left Misty heartbroken, but she wouldn't give in. She knew the ways of the Clans and hoped that she could help her kits create one.

They traveled far and wide, coming across tribes, such as The Tribe Of Feathering Skies. And other Clans, such as CypressClan and QuartzClan.
The leaders of the Clans all offered to give advice to Misty, which she gladly accepted. Misty, Flare and the kits gradually started to believe in 'StarClan'.

One day, they were crossing a Thunderpath, and Parch stopped dead in the middle when he saw a monster. Flare, just when the monster was to hit, leaped and pushed him out of the way.
Though Flare saved Parch's life, the monster took his.
Misty's already cracked heart broke even more. Flare was the only cat that escaped with her, and he was always there at her side. Ink, Quill and Parch were scarred, especially Parch. He had nightmares every night.

They traveled for another moon, and they met two other cats, Gold and Dawn.
Gold was a strong golden tom and Dawn was his little sister.
Dawn was 4 moons, but she was strong and independent.
The cats traveled as a group and met Rose and Riley.
The siblings were very excited to travel, since they were abandoned kittypets and had no where to go.

After another moon of traveling, the group had full faith in StarClan and were taking refuge in the Tribe of Fallen Stars. Their leader, Sky of Glittering Sparks, gladly took them in.
Here was when Riley died.
The Tribe was attacked at night. It was a group of rouges.
The rouges killed multiple cats, including Riley, Petal that Falls on River, Stars that Float above Clouds, and Breeze that Files Silently.

The cats had come across a redwood forest, and had met a not-so-friendly Clan called RedClan.
Parch, even though it was moons ago, still had guilt built up inside of him.
One day, when Ink was out collecting herbs and everyone was hunting except for Dawn and Gold, Parch climbed up a tree and jumped off.
Parch hit his skull on the ground and died.
Ink came back first, and crumpled to the ground when she saw his lifeless body, dropping all the herbs.
Misty and Quill were to broken to speak.
Rose couldn't handle it, she cried and cried.
When Misty prompted her, Rose confessed that she and Parch were mates and she was carrying his kits.
They bid him a final farewell and a couple 'Good hunting' and a few 'May StarClan welcome you.'

Rose had a smooth birth a few moons later. She had two little she-kits, whom she named Dove and Scarf.
They had finally stopped traveling and found a land.
There was already one clan there, BrightClan, led by Featherstar.

Misty died. She died in her sleep. And that was then Quill created a clan, with Featherstar's permission.
She named it MistClan and Gold became leader.
Featherstar showed him to the MoonTree.
He returned as Goldenstar.
Quill promoted herself deputy and renamed herself Quillwing.
Ink, promoted by Goldenstar, became Inklight, the medicine cat.
Rose became Rosecall, Dove became Dovekit and Scarf became Scarfkit.
After a few moons, more cats joined.
Dawn, ten moons old, left the Clan and started her own with a few cats.
That led to the first 10 moon old leader.

Now for EchoClan.
Oh? You're tired? It won't be long now.
Just a few more moments or so.
No, your housefolk won't worry.
Now, let's continue.

A very old cat named Echo appeared one day. He had two daughters, Sweet and Fern. We came together and decided that Echo can make his own clan- EchoClan.
He did.
Sweet became Sweetstorm and Fern became Fernlily. Fernlily trained with the BrightClan medicine cat, Gingerheart.

A few moons, and Echostar died, losing all his lives at once.
Sweetstorm became leader with Graydapple as her deputy.

Cats kept dying and new leaders rose.
Scarfkit became Scarfrose and Dovekit became, well, Dovekit died as an apprentice due to greencough.

The current leaders now are-
Cloverstar of MistClan,
Stonestar of DawnClan,
Poppystar of EchoClan,
And finally...
Whitestar of BrightClan.

Parch, Flare, Misty, and Celia-Misty's other sister- were watching and Misty was always proud of them.

There were a few 'bad' leaders. Such as Dawnstar.
At 10 moons, it was hard for her to led. She rushed into battle and wasted her lives.

Ivystar of EchoClan also had a 'bad' reign. She was the Brokenstar of the time. Making kits apprentices when they open their eyes. Killing weak kits, killing elders and making 7 moon old warriors.

Their warrior code has a few tweaks, such as-
-No cat can journey to the MoonTree alone
-Medicine Cats can have mates and kits

I'd assume that you don't know much about BrightClan. Let me explain.

Featherwish of ThunderClan left her clan. She fell in love with a handsome young loner. They had 3 kits- Sharp, Sugarkit and Leafkit.
They explored lands, gathering loners, kittypets and rouges.
They found a nice, lush forest.
Featherwish named the Clan BrightClan, in honor of the cats' bright spirits.
Moonstone discovered the MoonTree and that's when Featherwish became Featherstar.

How do I know this, kittypet? Oh. Isn't it obvious? No? The ginger and white fur. The green eyes? No? Well then, I'm Swiftbell, the last known descendant of Quillstar.
