Story Outline

It's pretty rough right now, I'm more of a 'write as I go' then go back and make it make sense type of planner so I'll probably come back and update this as I go.

PART 1: INTRODUCING CHARACTERS/PLOT THREADS

1. Establish Dana, Billy, the man with scissors and ends with Dana about to mug the tall man

2. Dana fights and loses to the tall man, blacks out and remembers the first time she shape shifted

3. The tall man meets with the man with scissors, reveals the tall man is looking for someone to but their not here so he's going home, Dana comes to and inspects retained damage

4. Madilyn Hitch is a human who died and faces judgement, reviews her life and gets sentenced to an eternity of hanging

5. There's a human funeral that the tall man passes on the way back to Hell City, one of the attendees is his son and recognizes him, the man man manages to lose him, Dana and Billy see the tall man again and follow him, planning to get revenge. They follow him into a building that turns out to be a portal.

6. Dana and Billy come out the other end disoriented and lose track of the tall man, come across a fight in progress then Dana gets challenged by Silver 

7. Covers Dana and Silver's competition, midway through Billy is challenged, ends with both siblings losing and getting separated.

8. Back on earth the tall mans son Atticus caught up to the building where the portal was, now its just a normal building, continues to establish him as a character, he does end up finding something else by the end of the chapter and goes on a journey to hell, hell where the human souls end up. (Trying to find Hell City, ends up in Hell)

So by the end of part 1: Dana is in debt to Silverfish and taken to the 7th ring, Billy is in debt to a higher ranking demon and taken to the 3rd ring, the tall man is back in Hell City looking for someone, the man with scissors is in the human world still looking for the siblings, Madilyn is in hell suffering, Atticus is on his way to hell

PART 2: Middle chunk, rising action (More of a general, rough idea)

9. Checking back in with Dana and Silver, gives an explanation for where they are and some information on the contract between the two now and Silver's goal to free herself, Dana tries to runaway but she can't.

10. Atticus finds and frees Madilyn from her punishment and the two return to earth, Madilyn wears a red scarf to hide her throat. The man with scissors finds one of Dana and Billy's hideouts and burns it to the ground.

11. Establishing where Billy is and what his demon's deal is, exploring the third ring

12. Silver rematch #1 (In the 7th ring), Silver wins back her teddy bear, Dana analyzes for weaknesses, The man with scissors arrives in hell city and torments demon who witnessed Dana and Billy's challenges

13. Atticus is plotting his next journey to hell, Madilyn explores the world of the living, the two go to that tower of three intertwining curves and look down on the city, Atticus wants to bring up an army of souls and take over the city to get his dads attention.

14. Silver rematch #2 (In the 6th ring)

15. Billy and his demon

16. Silver rematch #3 (In the 5th ring)

17. Billy and his demon

18. Silver rematch #4 (In the 4th ring)

19. Atticus and Madilyn

20. Billy and his demon

21. Silver rematch #5 (In the 3rd ring), Dana and Billy are reunited, the man with scissors catches up with them

22. Man with scissors challenges them to a fight and beats them both

Dana and Billy get challenged by the man with scissors and lose, their brought with him to the centre ring, Atticus has beaten the god of death and frees all the souls, Madilyn is still with Atticus, 

PART 3: CLIMAX

This is the bit where a lot of reveals happen, I don't have all the answers sorted out yet, or a full ending but I have an idea of what I want for the conclusions for some of the arcs;

- The Man with Scissors takes the siblings to his boss, Moon, who he's indebted to, Moon kills him, freeing Dana and Billy from him

- Moon reveals stuff about Dana and Billy

- The tall man is sent to bring all the souls back to hell, Madilyn betrays Atticus and kills him

- Dana and the tall man have a rematch, she wins

- Silver challenges Moon

PART 4: EPILOGUE & EXTRAS

- After a year Dana challenges Silver and Billy challenges his demon

- Short stories about various demons

Additional Notes:

- Side plot involving The Man with Scissors and Falcata, a demon indebted to him. She lost in a finding things game and makes weapons for him. Despite the circumstances the two have an almost affectionate relationship. Falcata doesn't mind him much cause she can still do what she likes, forging, and they also enjoy each others company. The challenge was on friendlier terms then usual. However because of the power dynamic similar to with Silver and Dana there's always a tension on the relationship. Plus The Man with Scissors is a psycho.

- Some side stories at the end about different demons from various areas around Hell City (Harmonia, Falcata, Strix, Seawolf)

- Still need to figure out the specifics of Billy's end of the story, there's some higher up demons I want the reader to meet through his side so I'm still figuring out how exactly to do that and who the demon he's with would be
