Day 29 - Promo/Teaser
So, I am dying to share the new Book II War Bride Trailer with you, but since we are winding down the first book and I don't even want to remotely chance to spoil my last, possibly most evil cliffhanger yet, I decided to give you a glimpse at my two new stories planned for later in the year (both experiments). Let me know what you think and whether this might fly or not.
Phantoms in the Shadows:
Blurb:
For three thousand years, the Order of the Kaycera have killed those they deem unworthy with an army of magical power hunters. When fourteen year old Aleana questions the system, she is banished to die in the Gobi desert.
Two years later she returns with her own army. It's David v. Goliath when the battle begins, yet Aleana and her friends have one advantage - they are nothing but Phantoms in the Shadows.
Teaser:
London – Euston Station
To any bystander, Colin Delaney was like a phantom that day. It took him two minutes to step out of the bathroom of the crowded train station and cross the lobby. He caught up with the man just before platform six and no one saw the gun that rested in his hand. The silencer muffled the precise shot that took the man's life in an instant. By the time the body hit the ground, Colin had already disappeared in the masses of people who were arriving on a train from Liverpool. When a shrilling scream echoed through Euston Station the moment the body was discovered, his fingers were locking the latch of the bathroom stall. Thirty seconds later, he had vanished in thin air.
Haunting Voices:
Teaser:
The blow to her mouth finally makes her shut up, at least until her piercing cry makes my nerve ends curl. She is so annoying. My hand rises again and strikes her across the cheek.
"Shut the fuck up," I yell, my voice so loud to carry over her scream.
Only a few whimpers remain as her sole opposition when she bites so hard on her lip that it splits open. The blood mixes with her saliva and tears before dripping off her chin. Pathetic! With a huff, my fingers run through my short crew cut, my eyes drilling into her. I want to crack that skull open to see her treacherous thoughts. If she believes she can make a fool out of me, she has something else coming.
"Okay, where were we?" Now she even has my voice trembling. I wonder if she realizes how angry she always makes me. I squint at her, my mind scrambling to get my thoughts into some type of order. "I want to know who that guy was you were talking to at the coffee shop." My finger shoots up in warning. "And no more lies."
Okay, that's it. Give them your thumbs up or down :)
