Our first activity here on Writer World will do a few different things for both me and you. It will not just be a showcase of your talents, but it is also to show the importance of editing from your peers. The activity will also be split into two separate parts. 

In the first half of our activity, you will be writing a one shot based off Gravity Falls, with a maximum 2,000 words. For this activity, there will be no selected prompt for this activity, and as long as the plot is follows the guidelines of appropriate, you have free reign over it.

The second half of our activity will be a bit different. As you finish, you will be partnered off with different writers here within the activity. After reading, you will give the author constructive and helpful feedback (a difference between constructive feedback, negative feedback, and unhelpful feedback can be provided, if wished for) on what they could do to improve their one shot. Then, your partner will do the same for you. Unfortunately, I cannot provide feedback for said one shots, as I am personally occupied with judging the Gravity Falls Wattys, though I would if I had not been. 

While this is also for everyone to show their abilities, this activity is mostly to work on your feedback skills to others. From a writer, feedback is so important for everyone to help improve your writing, as none of us are perfect, and hearing what others think is always good to have. Being able to give helpful feedback is a good skill for us all.
