Tell us a bit about yourself, your journey as a writer and your foray into the Orange part of the web (a.k.a. Wattpad)

I came back to writing after a long hiatus in 2018. I was looking for a home for some really nerdy fan fiction that my son and I were into at the time. I'm not going to rehash that. I found The_Weekend_Write-In and got hooked on flash fiction. I help manage that site now and johnnedwill and I even hosted a podcast for that site for two years. I also started writing for Tevun-Krus shortly after joining the write-in. Sadly real-life work has sucked a lot of my free time away lately.

1, 2, 3... Tell us about ONE story you would have wanted to write, TWO authors you admire, who inspire you.... THREE characters who often come into your mind when you start a new story...

Harry Potter (though I'm disappointed now by its author). I admire and am inspired by Ernest Hemingway and Dr. Seuss. Honestly if I'm stuck when starting a new story I can always find a twist on satan, animals with human qualities, and thugs from New Jersey.

What made you want to participate in the relay?

Honestly I love all of the writers who joined last year. I feel not worthy in their presence. I was hoping by writing with them I'd up my game.

How did you find the experience?

Either Jinn or John Nedwill got me to sign up.

What challenged you the most in this venture? Something that maybe brought you out of your writer's comfort zone?

I think it is really hard to write and have your writing fit in with all the other chapters. I worry that I make the characters seem different or honestly just have more spelling and grammatical errors than everyone else.

Something we are most curious about... How about you give us a little teaser of your part in this story? A sentence or two that will keep us on our toes and impatiently wait reading your chapter?

I created the side character as what I could imagine my teenage son turning out as in an alternate universe set in the future.

And while we are feeling the tease, as we consider the Science Fiction genre, we are all expecting wondrous worlds and weird alien species... Can you tell us about one element you brought to the Relay, one element you created for this story? It may be an alien race, a location in space, or maybe a special technology... Tell us about this special character, object, environment or settings you built up for your part in the story. What was your inspiration for it?

I utilized an object currently sitting in my son's room.

And just to make it even more understandable. This little part of yourself you added to make the story even greater, can you give us a definition as if it was an entry in The Great Dictionary of Science Fiction?

I think it speaks for itself.
