In a collaboration with so many authors, there is due to be some discrepancies. Lisa's eyes picked it for us. But what Elisabeth_Long does, other than checking if everyone stays inline with the plot?

We are glad to have you on board for this SciFi Relay adventure.
And we want to thank you for spending this moment with us for this interview.

Tell us a bit about yourself, your journey as a writer and your foray into the Orange part of the web (a.k.a. Wattpad)

Creative writing hobbyist who's been recognized for works here and there over the years. My foray onto Wattpad can best be described as Gen Xer having fallen into a sea of Gen Zs and floating my way past the riptide.

1, 2, 3... Tell us about ONE story you would have wanted to write, TWO authors you admire, who inspire you.... THREE characters who often come into your mind when you start a new story...

A story I would've wanted to write? My life story up to now. There are a few antagonists I'd ⬛ and a couple of plot twists I'd rewrite. Maybe sprinkle some more adventure bits earlier on.
Two authors? Hmm. Neil Gaiman. Jane Austen.
Three characters: They'd be some of my own from my stories... Antoine from Rivers of Fate. Maya from Midnight Calling. Danie from Capricorn Rising.


What made you want to participate in the relay?

I was promised free beer and snacks. But it was really because of the fun I had in the previous year's project.

How did you find the experience?

It's enlightening to see how other writers approach the same characters; how everyone interprets the plot and applies their own style.

What challenged you the most in this venture? Something that maybe brought you out of your writer's comfort zone?

I barely passed physics in high school and I wrote a chapter that takes place exclusively on a ship in space.

Something we are most curious about... How about you give us a little teaser of your part in this story? A sentence or two that will keep us on our toes and impatiently wait reading your chapter?

"Is the tail not on the wrong end?"
"That's not a tail, you idiot!"

And while we are feeling the tease, as we consider the Science Fiction genre, we are all expecting wondrous worlds and weird alien species... Can you tell us about one element you brought to the Relay, one element you created for this story? It may be an alien race, a location in space, or maybe a special technology... Tell us about this special character, object, environment or settings you built up for your part in the story. What was your inspiration for it?

Didn't build so much as spring it on the characters: A space anomaly so shocking it leaves everyone speechless. Thank you Joss Whedon and BtVS S4.E10.

And just to make it even more understandable. This little part of yourself you added to make the story even greater, can you give us a definition as if it was an entry in The Great Dictionary of Science Fiction?

 When words fail to convey and gestures speak louder.

So... what a strange creature we are sure to meet! Time to read Chapter 11.
