Divya and Thiya peeks in

- Here we go our first chapter! We are so excited to give it out to you -

You might have a list of story ideas waiting to be fleshed out, but there’s likely one you are most passionate about. Start with that story. Many authors do their best writing when they’re deeply invested in their characters and plot.
According to my experience and knowledge, a chaotic mind cannot form words even if you know everything about plots and what to write next. All you have to do first is to relax your mind. Music mostly helps, especially soft and calming music. I sometimes write while listening to music. If you get a better scene or subplot in your mind and cannot remember it again either write brief, connective hints that will take you back to your scene or subplot when you go through them again.

How to start a new book?

The most basic element about writing a story is having a good storyline. Whether it's cliché, or something almost entirely original, having a storyline is as important as having a basement for a building.

The storyline could be inspired from a movie scene, a book, a real-life event, snippets of dreams, sometimes inspiration comes from a mere photo.
Art has no boundaries.

The next thing you have to do is write it down, give words to your fantasies and ideas. Create your characters' life. Express all your subplots and add characters you have been waiting to read or write about. Process your ideas. Give yourself a break, break your thoughts and ideas into small pieces. Don't worry about all the time it takes, because the process is long, but definitely worth it.

Read your progress by yourself after attaining a calm mind.

Compare the ideas you have in your thoughts now with the ones you had in the beginning.

Ask yourself. Is there anything you have been missing?

Have you lost track in the process? Try to decipher what you have missed.
If everything seems fine, see if there is anything that you need to change.

Give it another read once you complete your changes.

Check it once, twice, a million times, if needed.

Contemplate the choices you have made for your characters. Ask yourself questions that might help you in the writing journey. Were the reasons for the choices of the characters aligned with the plot you have created?

Scribble out your plots and subplots and give yourself time to read them repeatedly. Let your imagination course through them. Make changes, don't be afraid.

“Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.” – Gloria Steinem

Once you are ready with your plots and subplots, outline of your story, it's time for another extremely draining, yet exciting process in the writing journey.

TITLE

The most dreadful part of writing a book. Some ideas are born with a title but most of us struggle to come up with an enchanting title that covers readers in the first go.

The title is the important factor which determines the popularity of your book.

Based on the protagonist and plot or base of the story.

You should be familiar with your story, the little things that happen in your book, because many of the writers don't take little things into consideration and only think of the big events and the main plot.

Your title should be an embodiment of the content you are promising in the story. It can be about an emotion or your character’s perspective of the events happening in their life.

It should be intriguing and comprehensible.

It should be coherent yet vague.

Your title should appear in a way where the reader would be able to decipher their perceptions about the story, giving a little about what’s gonna happen in the story. It should provide them with that thrill that isn’t going to explode unless they dive into the book.

Well that's all for today!

Will be back with something more interesting very soon.
