CHAPTER THREE

"Friends buy you lunch. Best friends - lovers eat your lunch."

-=+=-

Namjoon and Jin sat there talking for a few hours, Jin trying to give Namjoon some ideas about his story and what to write about but Namjoon would always shut them down, saying they weren't good enough.

Namjoon had tried to explain to Jin what his story was going to be about and what he was trying to aim for, but Jin didn't quite understand.

Namjoon realized that no one would understand, since it was his thoughts and he wasn't good at expressing his thoughts in the first place.

"Hey, it's lunchtime - want to go eat or we can go over to my apartment and I can make something?" Jin asked, snapping Namjoon out of his daze.

Namjoon shrugged. "Sure, we can go over to your apartment. I don't have many ingredients for food here."

"Do you even eat a lot? You're probably busy a lot writing your story, you might forget to eat." Jin scolds and Namjoon chuckles softly and gave Jin a heartwarming smile.

Namjoon was quite excited to go over to Jin's apartment, since he didn't often go to other people's places, Hoseok and Yoongi shared an apartment and they didn't live quite far, but usually they would come over to Namjoon's place.

Jin leads Namjoon back into Jin's apartment next door and Namjoon heads in. He could see a bit of a mess on the ground but it wasn't bad.

"Sorry, Taehyung was over yesterday and he caused this mess. Oh yeah, that's right, I tried knocking on your door last night and you didn't answer." Jin said looking over at Namjoon who's eyes widened.

"Oh, er I thought it was Yoongi and my other friend Hoseok... I was mad at them so I didn't want to answer." Namjoon said sheepishly. "I don't have many other friends who would come knocking at my door so.."

"Really? You don't have many friends? That's shocking. I thought since you're a writer and all, you'd be friends with other writers and stuff." Jin replied, and then continued with, "I'll be your friend."

Namjoon stood there in shock. It's been a long time since he made a new friend, considering he only had two friends and a few acquaintances that he worked with.

"I am a writer, but I've never really met other writers. A lot of people ask me to be interviewed but I always deny them since I think I'm really awkward." Namjoon gave an awkward chuckle. "Yoongi and Hoseok are really my only friends."

"Why were you mad at them yesterday then?" Jin asked confused.

Namjoon shrugged and gave Jin a please don't ask glance. Jin nodded in reply and motioned his hand towards the couch.

"Sit down, I'll make you some lunch - my treat for being super nice." Jin grinned.

Namjoon sat down on the couch where Jin pointed towards and turned on the TV. He was watching the news channel and playing on his phone at the same time, not doing much.

A few minutes later Jin came into the room and told Namjoon that the food was ready.

"Oh, thanks. Where's your bathroom by the way?" Namjoon asked politely, Jin pointed down the hallway towards a door and Namjoon stared to walk down there.

"You can start eating." Namjoon said turning around.

Jin nodded and headed back into the kitchen. Namjoon went into the bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror. He made sure his hair looked good and spent a bit of time in the bathroom brushing up a little. He wanted to look nice for Jin, because he liked Jin and he didn't want to scare Jin away.

Namjoon might have spent a bit more time than the average person in the bathroom.

When he came back out and went into the kitchen, he saw two empty plates and Jin scrolling through his phone.

"Err.." Namjoon interrupted Jin who looked up.

"OH SHIT!" Jin said standing up abruptly.

"I'm so sorry Namjoon-ah!" Jin apologized. "I forgot I had a guest over and ended up eating both plates... I'm so sorry!" Jin bowed his head towards Namjoon who lifted up his hands and backed away slowly.

"It's fine." Namjoon murmured.

"I can go make my own food, or order something." Namjoon replied to Jin who looked up at him.

"No, no I'll make you something else Namjoon-ah. Sit down right here, it'll only be a few minutes." Jin said. Namjoon was about to protest when Jin marched over to him and grabbed his wrist, dragging Namjoon to the stool.

"Sit down." Jin ordered.

Namjoon sat down politely not wanting to be rude to his newly found friend, and because he was too nice and shy to be rude in the first place.

He watched as Jin cooked, making things look so easy when Namjoon couldn't even cut onions. Namjoon's eyes trailed to the back of Jin's body, and then eventually.. they were a little further down.

Namjoon's eyes landed on Jin's ass.

Namjoon quickly turned away and blushed. He narrowed his eyes towards a different area from where Jin was standing until he felt a clatter noise in front of him.

Namjoon turned to see a plate full of food sitting in front of him and Jin smiling widely at him. "Eat up." Jin said.

Namjoon nodded and grabbed his chopsticks, taking a bite of food. His mouth watered at the taste and Namjoon felt like he was in heaven.

"Your food is so good." Namjoon moaned at the taste, speaking with his mouth full forgetting his manners.

Out of the corner of his eye, Namjoon could see Jin grin.

"Thank you." Jin responded.

Out of nowhere Jin started to hug Namjoon. Namjoon blushed deeply but awkwardly hugged Jin back.

"I'm so glad you liked my food! I'm sorry that we couldn't eat together because of my stupidness." Jin frowned but Namjoon rolled his eyes.

"I said it's Jinnie-hyung." Namjoon replied, silently gasping when he let the nickname slip.

Jin gave him a weird stare before bursting out laughing.

"You're so cute Namjoon-ah." Jin squealed pinching Namjoon's cheeks like he was a baby. Namjoon whined and brushed Jin's hand out of his face before starting to eat again huffing at Jin who just continued to laugh his head off.

"You're weird." Namjoon commented. Jin didn't respond and Namjoon turned to see Jin with Namjoon's phone.

"Hey - what are you doing?" Namjoon asked standing up and grabbing his phone out of Jin's hand. Jin smirked at Namjoon and Namjoon smirked back. They stared at each other for a moment when Jin broke eye contact.

"Eat your lunch." Jin grinned.

Namjoon rolled his eyes and finished eating his lunch quickly. He stood up and put the dishes in the sink and thought that Jin was going to kick him out now.

"Er - I should leave and probably get working on my story." Namjoon said, he stood in front of Jin and bowed. "Thank you for lunch hyung."

"No problem Joonie, go work on your story." Jin ushered smiling and waving at Namjoon as he went out the door.

Namjoon bowed once more before the door shut in front of him and Namjoon went back into his own apartment. Namjoon opened up his phone to see what Jin had done with it when he saw a text message from someone.

Jinnie: Hi cutie

Namjoon blinked. Jin had added his phone number into Namjoon's contacts...

Namjoon smiled.

His smile was brighter than the sun that day.

-

Namjoon had no clue what he was doing here. He was standing in front of a club, after he had hung out with Jin for a bit - he went back into his apartment and wrote a bit for his story down before he started to get writers block again.

That was when Hoseok texted him to meet him at a club and that he wanted to apologize for his actions the previous day. Not that Hoseok did anything too bad.

Namjoon at first, didn't want to go since he hated clubs and bars.

But of course, Hoseok kept being a persistent little bitch and Namjoon finally caved in, like he usually did under pressure.

Namjoon sighed before entering the club, he gave the bouncer his ID and the man let him in. Namjoon walked in and saw Hoseok and Yoongi sitting at the bar, drinking some kind of drink.

"Hey." Namjoon muttered and sat down beside Hoseok.

"Joonie!" Hoseok exclaimed happily. He turned to Namjoon before bowing his head slightly and apologizing.

"I'm sorry about ignoring you yesterday Joonie! I didn't mean too." Hoseok gave a small pout and Namjoon looked down at his lap.

"It's okay Hobi." Namjoon replied.

Hoseok smiled at Namjoon before turning to the bartender.

"One vodka for him please." Hoseok said turning his head slightly to motion to Namjoon.

"Hobi - don't. You know I don't drink." Namjoon said grabbing Hoseok's arm.

"Jeez, Joon. Live a little." Yoongi muttered when the vodka was slammed in front of Namjoon who gulped.

Namjoon kept trying to protest as both Hoseok and Yoongi told him to have a bit of fun in his life for once. Namjoon didn't like drinking at all, and he his friends were being bad influences to him.

Namjoon felt like dying.

He started drinking as he slowly began to crack under pressure, just like how he cracked opened the vodka.

Namjoon took small sips that became longer and faster sips. Eventually he downed the whole the bottle and soon more bottles came afterwards.

Eventually Namjoon realized he was drunk, drunk off his mind.

He started to not think straight and he hobbled onto the dance floor, Hoseok and Yoongi laughing at him for being such a lightweight when in reality both of them hadn't even drank alcohol whatsoever.

Hoseok and Yoongi had seen Namjoon drunk before, but that was when all three of them were drunk and that was back when they were in high school.

This time Yoongi and Hoseok wanted to see Namjoon drunk while they were sober and of course, being such good friends, they were planning to drive Namjoon home as well.

Namjoon stumbled onto the dance floor and started to break out his dance moves. Dance monster they called him.

Right as Namjoon started to dance, a guy came up to him.

"Your dancing is pretty cute, but you're cuter." The man spoke.

Namjoon gave out a small giggle.

"Thanks!" Namjoon exclaimed, moving his hips to the beat of the music.

The man smirked and studied Namjoon from top to bottom.

From afar, Yoongi and Hoseok watched amused.

"Namjoon's about to get laid." Hoseok grinned.

Yoongi rolled his eyes.

"Don't worry, I'll step in if he does something. We can't let that guy take advantage of Namjoon while he's drunk babe."

Hoseok snorted.

"How else is Joonie going to get laid then?" Hoseok huffed in annoyance but did agree that they shouldn't let the man take advantage of Namjoon. They knew how sensitive Namjoon actually was, other than his awkward not really tough facade.

Namjoon swayed his hips as the man licked his lips and gave Namjoon a slutty look.

"You're so cute." The man leaned in and licked Namjoon's earlobe.

Namjoon giggled and pushed the man away slightly.

"I'm trying to danceeee." Namjoon hiccuped, the man grabbed Namjoon and pulling him up against his chest.

"Shh, don't worry babe. This will be much more fun than dancing."

With that, the man leaned in and pursed his lips.

Namjoon grinned waiting for the kiss.

That was until Yoongi stepped in and slammed his fist against the man's face.
