CHAPTER ONE

"When one story ends, another begins."

Namjoon felt like slamming his head on the desk a million times. A pencil was gripped in his hand and he was tapping it furiously against the desk. Nothing was working out. Nothing was coming to his brain.

Why?

Every single time Namjoon wrote a book, ideas were always flowing in his head, but this time there was nothing.

Namjoon's brain hurt.

Namjoon sighed. He dropped his pencil on the random mess of papers he had scattered on his desk and stood up. He stretched and fell back onto his chair.

Maybe I should invite Yoongi and Hoseok out to dinner.

Namjoon thought.

He looked at the time and saw that it was half past six. A reasonable amount of time to eat. He hadn't eaten lunch that day because he was so stressed out about his story.

He didn't have a deadline, he just wanted to get a good story going, but all he head was four sentences about a boy's character.

Namjoon pulled out his phone and texted the group chat that consisted of him, Yoongi and Hoseok.

NamjoON: U guys wanna go eat dinner

Yoongles: For a writer, your spelling and grammar is horrid.

Your Hope: I'll go if u pay

NamjoON: yea sure, and shut up yoongi

Yoongles: ...

NamjoON: Korean BBQ near my apartment in ten, be ready

Your Hope: k

Namjoon blinked and rolled his eyes. Namjoon would prefer to invite anyone in the world over those two, but it just so happened that they were his only friends.

The worst part about going with Hoseok and Yoongi though, was the fact that Namjoon was going to be a third wheel.

It wasn't as if Yoongi and Hoseok were dating, but it was obvious they liked each other and like always they'd be in their own world and Namjoon would be in his own world.

Namjoon sighed and quickly hopped into the shower, did his hair a bit and chucked on some clothes. He looked in the mirror and decided he looked presentable enough.

Namjoon quickly grabbed his wallet, keys and phone and headed out. He made sure he had enough money to pay for all three of them and then locked his door.

On the way out he passed by his neighbour's apartment and he saw a boy knocking on the door. He had to admit the boy looked pretty decent.

Namjoon gave a quick smile and passed by the boy who smiled back at him.

Namjoon didn't look back as he slipped into the elevator. He clicked the ground floor and waited, it wasn't a long wait as he was only on the second floor.

Well, in reality he probably could have taken the stairs and beat the elevator.

Namjoon was too lazy though.

He walked out of the elevator and the building and headed towards the Korean BBQ just down the street.

He saw Yoongi and Hoseok standing right in front of the restaurant waiting for Namjoon.

"You're late." Yoongi muttered.

Namjoon ignored Yoongi and studied their outfits. Namjoon had to admit, his two friends had great style.

"Let's go eat!" Hoseok exclaims, snapping Namjoon out of his trance.

"Right, let's go in." Yoongi said following Hoseok as he skipped into the restaurant. Namjoon never understood how Hoseok had so much energy.

Namjoon sat down next to Yoongi who was sitting right across from Hoseok.

"Please don't pick something expensive hyungs." Namjoon groaned while seeing as the two were looking at very expensive dishes.

"Hobi, pick the most expensive dish." Yoongi said almost immediately causing Hoseok to burst out into laughter at Yoongi teasing Namjoon.

Namjoon glared at Yoongi before flipping through his menu and finding something he liked.

The three boys ordered and just as Namjoon had predicted, he was the third wheel. Yoongi and Hoseok were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't even notice that their food had arrived.

Namjoon decided to dig in without telling them and sighed when they still didn't notice the food in front of them.

"Are you guys blind?" Namjoon snorted when Yoongi and Hoseok finally looked down.

"Oh! The food's here!" Hobi said excitedly, grabbing his chopsticks and stabbing the food. Yoongi rolled his eyes and grabbed his chopsticks are starting to eat as well.

Namjoon sighed.

"Oi, Namjoon-ah. How is your book going so far?" Yoongi asked turning to Namjoon. Namjoon almost felt relieved that he wasn't being the third wheel for a moment, but sighed when Yoongi mentioned his book.

"Not good at all hyung. I can't seem to get any idea of what to write about." Namjoon groaned, and started to pick at his food - becoming anxious at the thought of the book.

"What's the book about?" Hoseok asked.

Namjoon shrugged. "A boy who's lost, doesn't know his way."

Both boys looked at one another and then back to Namjoon. Hoseok smiled and Yoongi patted Namjoon on the back.

"Why don't you ask your next door neighbour?" Yoongi suggested.

Namjoon stared at Yoongi strangely.

"What?" Yoongi asked shoving some rice into his mouth.

"The old lady who lives next door to me with like 10 cats? No thanks. Cats aren't even allowed in our apartment building." Namjoon snorted.

"No, the boy who lives next door to you." Yoongi replied.

Namjoon froze. A boy next door to him? Oh right, the same door that the cute guy he saw today was knocking on.

"Why him?" Namjoon asked.

"Because maybe some human interaction other than us would be helpful to you." Hoseok sighed and went back into his conversation with Yoongi, both boys now uninterested with Namjoon.

Namjoon frowned and thought about it.

Yoongi and Hoseok were right, he didn't really talk to anyone other than those two and his family of course. He didn't have anyone else. Growing up in school he was one of the biggest nerds anyway.

Namjoon sighed and decided it was ridiculous to ask his next door neighbour help to write a story. He stood up seeing Hoseok and Yoongi not even noticing him leave. Namjoon sighed and gave a soft smile at both of them before going to the counter and paying.

Namjoon left the restaurant and went straight back into his apartment building. He wanted to get straight back into writing his story. His previous stories were huge hits, and he had a lot of fangirls.

He climbed the stairs to the second floor and was walking towards his room when he past by his neighbours door.

Namjoon froze and thought back to what his two friends had said. He did recall the boy next to him was around his age and was really nice according to the old lady with ten cats.

He sighed, pondering whether go to back into his apartment or knock on the door. Finally, Namjoon decided whatever - you only live once.

He stood in front of his neighbour's door and knocked three times. Namjoon tapped his foot impatiently and glanced to the side. He waited a few seconds before the door opened revealing a very cute boy standing in front of him.

Namjoon stood there hesitantly glancing at the boy. The boy stood there with a sleepy look on his face and waited for Namjoon to say something.

Namjoon took a deep breath opened his mouth to speak.

"Yo, I'm your next door neighbour Namjoon. I write stories. You got any ideas for a good story?"

"Write about me, I am worldwide handsome."
