Lord of the Rings

My first time seeing Middle Earth happened when I was pretty young.

I honestly don't remember how old I was.

But anywho, I remember sneaking out of my bedroom to see what movie my dad was watching (I was curious) so I hid behind his chair and watched as two guys climbed up a fire mountain.

I was actually getting bored and decided to leave, and then I saw this thing leap out of nowhere and start attacking the two guys.

It seriously freaked me out.

I snuck back to my room and didn't tell anyone what I saw.

Eventually I found out that it was Lord of the Rings but until then I had always thought it had been some sci-fi space movie.

When I was finally old enough to watch Lord of the Rings, and our parents were allowing me, my older brother and sister to stay up and watch them.

Except I didn't.

At the time I wasn't interested.

My sister told me that it was good and I was always like,
"Ok cool."

When The Hobbit came out I was once again invited to watch, and once again I didn't.

I just wasn't interested.

Finally my mom got The Hobbit again from Netflix and I finally decided to watch it.

And that's when I entered the Fandom.

We went on to watch the Desolation of Smaug and I got so mad at the cliff hanger!

We went and saw Battle of the Five Armies in theaters, and after that I was finally pumped for Lord of the Rings.

And let me just say that after I watched Lord of the Rings for the first time, I instantly loved it more then the Hobbit.

Not saying I don't love the Hobbit, but I needed something a little more serious and dark if you know what I mean.

What can I say? I like action and peril.

After seeing the movies I read the books.

Twice.

I am the only one in my family who has read The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings.

All of them twice.

So I happen to be the biggest LOTR Nerd in my family.

Just like I'm the biggest Marvel Nerd.

And I'm just fine with that.

Nerds rule.
