Three Souls till Dawn
Three Souls till Dawn

Disappoint me my rock, my steady guide,
With a stroke of a finger I am gone,
Turn your face and expunge my inner pride―
Child of mind, hope of life, my spawn.
Three souls till dawn, remnants were sown,
Of what breath stood in the sun's hunger, had desire
Shone on my countenance, your warmth honed
Has scorched, strewn my ashes within the pyre.
Alas, I'm alone deprived of you, the last of three faiths
Progenitors of life's courage, I've consumed too much
Time in your existence, therefore my personal wraiths;
Have carry my pride to the end of the lash, inasmuch
I've tied a knot at the end of my line to keep
Unraveled. With outstretched hand I will grasp,
And spinning, I will crawl to hindmost dust heap
To do it again, and with humility, unclasp.
