"Patton we need to talk about the notes"

It had started out innocently enough, a coloured sticky note here or there. Words of encouragement on Roman's door after long days in the imagination, accompanied by doodles of swords and smiley faces. Logan would snap out of his "hard-at-work" trances to find a sticky note telling him to come down to dinner on his desk. And words of love and puns found their way to Virgil's coffee mugs for when he stumbled into the kitchen at 3am; unable to sleep.

Patton lifted his eyes from the book he was reading to look up at Logan.

Then "the dark sides" had joined the fray. Janus started finding notes underneath his plate after the family breakfasts he was "forced into". Remus found doodles on the sticky notes left on Remus's knives after Patton cleaned them for him.

Patton wrinkled his brow, "The notes?"

Then it had been sticky notes littering the fridge, before spreading to the tv. Dozens of pieces of colourful paper covered in doodles and puns and quotes.

"The sticky notes, yes," Roman said; stepping out from behind Logan. "Patton it's not that we don't appreciate the thought-"

Then Virgil had woken up to a pixel painting on his door, and Roman had a poem written letter by letter on the wall outside his room, Logan had nearly lost it when he had woken up to a completely pink computer and monitor. And the "Dark sides" had their hands full with hearts and swirls all over the walls of their common room.

"-But this has gotten out of hand!" Logan said, his glasses askew and his hair rumpled in frustration.

Logan had been willing to let that go, and Roman had admired the creativity; but after the entire common room was flooded with positive sticky notes, they had to draw the line.

"Oh?" Patton said; his face a mask of innocence

Janus had thought it was amusing until he had woken up to his hat covered in snake drawings.

"Patton, this has to stop! We're all in agreement! Even Remus!"

Logan had gathered the others together, and they'd decided the note's tyranny must come to an end.

Patton looked at them, and then to Virgil; who was standing off to the side. When Virgil nodded he sighed, snapping his fingers to disappear all the sticky notes in the commons.

"Fine- I promise I won't place any more sticky notes."

Roman and Logan sighed in relief, and both muttered out a "thank you" before each heading to their room.

Virgil crossed the floor to stand next to Patton.

"Do you think they realized?" Patton asked.

"No way," Virgil said, humor in his voice. "I gotta admit, this is genius." Patton giggled before wrinkling his brow.

"How did they get Remus to agree?"

"Oh, he gets to set Roman's room on fire this Wednesday," Virgil said; finally collapsing into giggles. Patton was going to reply when he was cut off by Logan yelling from his room, as he finally discovered the two full pad's worth of sticky notes on his back. And his voice was quickly joined by Roman discovering the same.

Virgil and Patton both burst out laughing.
