Chapter 4

"I don't get no sleep cause of you, you won't get no sleep cause me!"

I groaned in my sleep as the loud chant came closer to my room.

I could hear the metallic clanking of pots and pans banging together. Shaking my head, I wondered why I was friends with such an annoying girl.

Grabbing my pillow, I covered it over my head to block the noise.

"(Y/N)," (B/F/N) yelled as she sauntered into my room. "You can't sleep today. We got things to do, people to check. GET UP."

She clanked the pans together some more.

For the love of-

I threw my pillow at her, my face still stuffed into the mattress.

"Why can't this family be normal?" I flipped over and squinted my eyes. (B/F/N) had opened my curtains and the sun streamed in, illuminating the devil who woke me up.

"Normal is bleh, now get up," she whined as she pulled my arms to sit me up.

I reluctantly sat up and rubbed my eyes. Hoping it would change the fact that I was still tired.

"You're annoying."

She rolled her eyes. "In five minutes, when you're fully up, you'll stop being this mean. You're such a half-hearted morning person."

"It's been four days since we graduated. What do you expect?"

Sitting on the edge of my bed, I rolled my shoulders back and worked out some of the kinks. My body creaked as if I hadn't moved in ages, the bones popping like I was coming to live.

"That's better. I'm assuming I already know why you came here?" I watched her with a raised eyebrow.

She winked at me and clicked her tongue.

"No surprise there." I started to move to my computer when she grabbed my arm.

"Get dressed."

I sighed. "What, why?" I walked over to my closet and looked in.

"I want to go to Starbucks, please?" She gave me a little pout.

"You're so basic sometimes, but fine."

I turned and walked over to a pile of folded clothes sitting on the floor. Pulling out some ripped skinny jeans, I also found my BMTH tank top.

"So I brought my laptop too, we can just chill at Starbucks and do some research. Why can't you just ask him though?"

She leaned against the door of the hallway bathroom as I brushed my teeth.

"I don't want too." I spit out and rinsed off the sink.

Following me in, (B/F/N) sat on the toilet as I started to get dressed.

"But why?"

"He had three years to tell me. Never did."

I paused and thought about that. I wasn't mad, but why wouldn't he tell me?

"Maybe, he wanted you to like him for him? I don't know."

Turning to stare at her, I considered what she said. "You might not be wrong. This whole conundrum is just a mess."

"Didn't have to be," (B/F/N) muttered.

"Shut up."

Deep down though, I knew she was right. If I would just ask like a normal person, I wouldn't have to play Inspector Gadget. But of course, me being the person I am, just had to be difficult. Not stubborn per-say, but more like independent. Something I always valued in myself.

Moving out of the bathroom and back to my room, I gathered my stuff.

"Starbucks, you said? Fine." I grabbed my wallet and headed down the stairs to the kitchen.

My mom stood at our kitchen counter making a pot of coffee. The coffee filled the room with a cinnamon twang and made me wish I had a cup right now.

"Mom, a little warning next time you let unwanted guests into the house." She smirked and shook her head at my comment.

"(B/F/N) there is the only unwanted guest I'll let in this early in the morning."

This early in the morning? Early?

I checked the microwave clock which was off by 5 minutes.

8:25 am.

Which means it was 8:20.

I slowly turned towards (B/F/N). "You, woke me up at 8 in the morning," I said the words slowly, emphasizing the number 8.

She whistled nonchalantly. "8? In the morning?"

She laughed nervously.

"I'm going to kill you Bee," I yelled as I dumped my stuff on the counter and ran towards her.

An hour later we sat at a table in Starbucks, the window giving us a full view of the parking lot in front. The place smelled of caramel macchiatos and java chip frappuccinos. For it to be 9 in the morning on a Wednesday the place sure was buzzing. People of all types were in the shop. From office workers to high school students to hipsters who made it same like Starbucks was their own little hideout.

"Here's your dark-side frappe." (B/F/N) handed me my drink and sat down beside me, her face twisted into a scowl.

"Aw thanks Bee, you're a doll," I leaned over and pinched her cheek. Only causing her to recoil back and me laugh loudly.

"Guess you'll think twice about waking me up early love." I took a sip of my double chocolate frappe, happy that they had the chocolate whipped cream this time.

"Oh now you're in a good mood." She took a sip from her own unicorn frappe.

I twisted my face into one of disgust. "How can you drink that?"

She looked at me with big eyes. "It's good."

I shook my head and took another sip from my own drink. The Unicorn frappe was strictly a drink for aesthetics if you asked my opinion. Yea it was pretty, but it sure didn't taste like it.

Opening my laptop, I turned it on and logged in. Bee did the same beside me, also pulling out her mobile hotspot.

"Looks like someone came prepared." She snorted beside me.

"One of us had to be."

We both plugged in our earbuds and found the music video from before. I watched intently while she scoured the comments, looking for any indication about who was who.

"So we know the first guy is Jimin. I just saw also that the guy with red hair is," she paused, "V?"

Leaning over to see her screen, I glanced at the comment. "Yea, V."

"Oh, here's a comment with all their names I'm assuming. Doesn't tell who is who though. Okay. So there's Suga, Jimin, Jin, Rap Monster, V, Jungkook, and J-hope."

"Okay, but who's who?"

"I just said it doesn't say that. Here's a smart idea, why don't we Google them?" She looked at me like she was innocent but I heard the sarcasm dripping in her voice.

Glancing at her, annoyance covering me from head to toe I nodded. "You think you're so smart."

Quickly typing in BTS in the Google search bar, tons of results popped up. Bee leaned into me as I scrolled down to the members profiles. 4 members popped up but I didn't get the same feeling of speechlessness I got with my soulmate. I clicked the view more button and looked over the last remaining members.

My eyes fell on the boy in a yellow sweatshirt with a flower crown.

RM.

Immediately clicking his name I couldn't help but smile when I saw his face. Then I froze, smile still on my face, taking in everything on the screen.

This was my soulmate. Has to be my soulmate.

"He didn't lie about his age, that's for sure. And he's tall, almost 6 foot." Bee nodded in approval beside me.

I rolled my eyes. "He has a mix-tape out." I turned my head to the side in curiousness.

"I think 'Do You' is from his mix-tape. It just says Rap Monster. Not BTS."

She suddenly reached over me and clicked on the video. We both listened to the song through my earbuds. To say we were impressed by his style was an understatement, well to me at least. I watched the video in silence and almost had a heart-attack by how hot he sounded.

Oof, does he look good in black.

"Seems like I found you a keeper." I stared at (B/F/N) as she sat back, arms crossed, with a smug look on his face.

"Last time I checked, you aren't God. And you definitely did not give me this soulmate sign." She shrugged a shoulder nonchalantly, indicting she wasn't listening. I rolled my eyes and laughed, her ego was bigger than mine at times.

"I want to watch the next one. I'm going to watch the next one." I clicked on the next video. Not knowing what the name was since it was in Korean, but at least knowing how to pronounce it. I let the ad play through and listened to what Bee had to say.

"While you do that, lover girl, I'm going to look up some stuff about these boys. Specifically Rap Monster. You're not much help at the moment." She turned haughtily towards her laptop and began typing away.

"Well sorry that this is my first time seeing my soulmate. Heaven forbids that I'm excited for it, am I right?"

I saw her smirk out the corner of my eye. I then turned my attention back to the computer screen as the ad ended.

By the end of the video, I was a hardcore RM fan-girl. Albeit I have every right to be. I also knew that the Hangul meant Joke. After that, I just daydreamed about pretty much anything. I didn't want to interrupt (B/F/N) while she was researching my soulmate and his band-mates.

My mind did keep drifting to my notebooks though. How many times has he used my words and I didn't know? How many chances and clues did I miss?

I sighed and looked out the window.

At least I don't have to worry like everyone else. I don't have to worry about one day passing my soulmate and not knowing who it was. Must be torture.

Glancing at Bee I took in a breath.

What torture.

"Hey, (Y/N), check this out. Maybe we can buy concert tickets?"

She looked at me grinning. Then her smile fell away.

"What? What's wrong, is something on me?"

"No Bee, it's nothing. Tell me about these tickets."

Wow so I know this is long overdue.

Tell me what you think of it and don't be afraid to leave pointers and comment. It makes my day when I see that people have read and commented on my books.

Don't be afraid to talk to me!
