Chapter 14

I adjusted the tickets so they could be seen more on my phone screen. A smile was wide across my face and a glittery crown was above my head. Quickly taking the picture, I studied it to see if I looked okay. My smile surely wasn't forced and neither was the excitement in my eyes. I typed out a generic 'can't wait' message before quickly adding it to my story. Leaning back, my eyes scanned through the bustling terminal, watching as others either walked calmly or rushed around in panic. My hand absentmindedly went up to my fluffy neck pillow and began petting it. The man in front of me sat staring down at his phone, black bag beside him. I could see a bag of chips peeking out and it made me think of my own bag of chips. (Fave flavour) Ruffles were calling to me when I was finally able to be seated on the plane.

"Hey (y/n)! Isn't this exciting?" Bee pulled out an earbud and faced me. I nodded my head so many times I'm sure I looked like a bobble head. "And first class... Remind me to thank your soulmate for having rich friends."

My ears perked up. "My soulmate? Where did you get those tickets from again exactly?" I narrowed my eyes. "Where are we going in Korea anyway?"

Her eyes widened ever so slightly but she recovered fast. Not fast enough though. "I'm joking. You're not finding out who helped me with this whole thing. And think of it as a major surprise."

She then put an earbud back in and blasted her music. My face scrunched up into a scowl and I crossed my arms in front of my black sweatshirt. I decided to look around again and noticed two girls staring at me with wide eyes.

Okay then....

Slowly turning away from their gaze, I looked down at my phone. My notifications were going crazy. Which was normal now. I answered a few people on Snapchat but yet, I could still feel the two girls staring at me. Maybe it was someone else and I'm going crazy. Pulling my black Nike hat down, I tried to peek up at who was staring at me so intently. Lifting my head ever so slightly, I saw it was the same girls from earlier. A sigh rumbled through my chest. I'd rather they wave or approach me rather than just watch from afar. Aka stalking.

Ignoring them, I opened up Instagram. Only to be met with my picture. It was posted by a bts fan account. 'She's going to Korea?!?!? Asdfghjkl can she suck Joon's toes for me??' A smile broke onto my face at the caption. These fans, who knew Kpop fans were freaky? I swiped to the next picture and saw it was zoomed in to my ticket. Which showed my final destination.

Wow am I stupid.

I looked up just as soon as one of the girls took a picture. She froze and I responded simply by smiling and throwing up a peace sign. The other girl quickly pulled out her phone as well.

"Boarding for group 1, final destination Incheon, South Korea, will now begin," announced a man's voice.

"That's us," my mom stood up and excitedly started getting her carry on prepared. Bee and her mother started to gather their things as well. I grabbed the backpack the three had picked out for me. It was a black, you'll never guess, Nike bookbag. To match my Nike hat and my Nike shoes.

My mom had made a big fuss about how idols were always known for their airport fashion and since I am now an idol's soulmate I need to look the part. They on the other hand decided to wear whatever the heck they wanted. Shouldn't they look the part too?

At least Bee listened to me and bought the same Nike outfit but in burgundy.

Actually we ended up switching shoe colours cause the coordination in her opinion was too much.

My heart was pounding as I walked up to the gate. Our tickets were scanned and we made our way down the ramp and to the door of the plane. I realised the first class section must be small. In fact it was only 6 people and that included us. We were traveling on Singapore airlines. A guy wearing Adidas pants with a supreme hoodie (yuck no brand matching) walked slightly in front of me. His bag was dangling from his shoulder as he paid the slightest attention to where he was going. The other man wore jeans and a collared shirt. He was trying to tell last minute information to someone on the phone and I could see the frustration building in his demeanor. He kept looking at his watch and shifting his briefcase from under his arm to his hand. His eyes darted towards me and he did a once over. I quickly looked back at the supreme guy who was still engrossed in his phone.

As we reached the door of the plane, a pretty flight attendant greeted us with a pearly white smile. Once on the plane, she showed us a set of stairs. "This is where you'll find your first class cabins. If you'll follow me," she started up the stairs while Bee and I shared a glance.

As soon as I reached the top my mouth dropped open in awe. Even Supreme guy put down his phone. It was gorgeous. All the cabins were basically mini rooms. Each one had a normal seat in the corner but in the center was a comfy looking bed. The overall layout consisted of only 6 cabins which explains the small amount of people in first class. Not only that but towards the back there was a bar and lounge area that the business class also had access to.

As we gathered near the door, the attendant examined everything to us. She walked us over to a cabin and explained that if two people were traveling together, a partition could be lowered to make a double room. I squeezed Bee's hand, knowing that was going to be our plan. Each Cabin could get meals from an inflight chef and also had TV's and PJ sets in all the rooms. She let us get settled and explained that she would come check on us right before the flight started and that a safety video would play.

I looked at my ticket and found the room that Bee was beside. As soon as we got in, I looked for a way to lower the partition between us. It took about five minutes but we did it.

Sitting on the bed, I picked up the piece of chocolate that was placed in the middle of the pillow. My hand went to the PJ set that was beside it and fingered the soft yellow fabric. I lifted the shade up from the window and looked outside. Who would've thought that I would be seated in the most lavish first class and visiting Korea? Literally noone. I noticed some refreshments on a table and stood up to look at them.

"(Y/n)! You have to put on the pajamas! They're so soft." I looked over at Bee to see her already dressed in an identical set of PJ's but in blue. Her bag was thrown on to her bed with her clothes sprawled across the seat.

"How did you get changed so fast?" I started to take off my sweatshirt and started putting on the given shirt over my sports bra. I didn't wear a shirt because honestly just wearing a sports bra in that big sweatshirt was overkill. I took off my ripped jeans and reached for the pants. A slight thud and a gasp made me turn towards my cabin door.

Supreme guy stood there in the doorway with his mouth agape. My eyes widened to the size of saucers. A scream left my lips and he stumbled out of the room. I hurriedly put the pants on and Bee jumped on the bed to get to my side. She rushed out and I was a couple of steps behind her. He ended up running into a flight attendant and our moms on the way out.

The attendant had a look of worry on her face. "I was just coming to check up on you, is everything okay?" Her eyes looked over towards me.

I realised I never buttoned up my shirt and quickly pulled the ends together and held it close. "I don't know, he just barged in."

He stood in the middle of the group with his black hair hanging over his eyes. "Sorry, I thought it was my cabin," he mumbled.

He raised his head a bit and I could see his face was flushed. He avoided eye contact with me and looked at my best friend instead. However, she was full on death glaring at him so he returned his gaze to the floor.

Another flight attendant spoke up. "Let me show you back to your cabin." She put an arm around him and gently dragged him away. My mom followed him as he left and then turned her gaze back to me.

"Did he see anything? Anything happen?"

Bee and I shared another glance but I was already shaking my head. I didn't need this to get even more out of hand. "No, no, no, no. He just walked in and then walked out. Trust me." I grabbed her hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

Nonetheless my mom had the last say.

"Please check on them periodically," she said to the flight attendant. I looked down at her name badge and saw her name was Andrea. She wore a green sarong kebaya indicating she was the lead stewardess. Her long hair was in a bun and her makeup was done to perfection. She smiled at us and gently placed her hands on our shoulders.

As we walked back in, she started tidying things up. "As your mother," she said more like a question, "asked, I'll be checking on you two quite often. Either me or Aria. She's one of the girls in blue. I see you already lowered the partition. Get settled into your seats and the safety video will play. After takeoff, the seatbelt sign will tell you when you are able to get up and into the beds or walk to the lounge. This is a long flight so if at all you need anything please call. I'll come back after takeoff and get your orders for the chef." She had cleared off Bee's bed and chair, folding everything or putting it in her bag. Her red clad fingernails stood out against the black pair of jeans she was holding.

We could only nod and sat in the seats that were placed in the corner.

"Well geez my mom doesn't even fold up my clothes anymore," I remarked absentmindedly.

"Yea I know."

I rolled my eyes and focused on the video that started playing.

~~~~~~~
My body was on fire. My mind was somewhere else. I was aching to be somewhere. With someone. His presence was constantly pushing around my thoughts in my head. I was a mess. It was as if my body knew I was so close to the one person I needed most. I looked at my mom absentmindedly, wondering what Namjoon's mother was like.
"I can't believe we're in Korea." My mom looked at everything in amazement. The sound of her voice snapped me out of the weird soulmate bond thing. Her eyes sparkled with excitement and I couldn't help but smile. His mom was probably normal compared to mine. We all stood around baggage claim waiting for my last bag.
Ever since we got to the baggage claim section, a small crowd has been surrounding us. Groups of girls with giant cameras took pictures as soon as they saw my face. Which thankfully had been refreshed on the plane.
It was startling. But this is what I deserved. I was the reason why I couldn't keep my privacy. If not for my big fat mouth this probably would've been handled way better.
I saw my duffel bag and reached out for it. After adjusting it on my shoulders I looked for Bee and her mom. Her mom stood near the doors and I saw that Bee was talking to someone in a car. She motioned my mom and I over. We began the walk to the car followed by the small group of people. Actually, when we walked outside, I was swarmed by people. Not only fans but what looked like professional photographers seem to come out of nowhere. I lost sight of Bee and the car. My head was swimming with thoughts of panic. Thankfully my mom grabbed my hand and started walking. I hadn't even realised that I had stopped walking. This was scarier than I thought. Questions were being thrown my way in English and Korean yet I still couldn't wrap my head around anything.
Finally we reached the car and I was shoved inside, duffel bag and backpack included. What ever happened to my suitcases, I don't know but hopefully that was my mom who grabbed them. The door was closed and I stared in horror at Bee.
She wore an amused smile and soon our mom's joined us in the vehicle.
After glancing around, the car seemed more like a mini van or bus really. A middle-aged man sat in the driver's seat and pulled away from the airport once he saw everyone was in the car.
"I can't believe that people already know about you here."
Bee's mom was shaking her head.
I could.
Heck, Korea was probably the first place to hear about me.
You're here?
My palm showed the black tattoo that Namjoon had just written. So he felt it too then.
I pulled out the sharpie I always carried around with me since I was 16.
Yeah, isn't this just
I didn't know what to say. But the words I saw next proved I didn't have to.
We have to see each other.
I know.
"Hey guess what our next stop is?"
I looked up at my best friend in confusion. "It's not the hotel?"
She shook her head. "Big Hit."
