5 Former WWE Wrestlers I Want To See Return And 5 I Don't
Want:
5. Tegan Nox
Tegan Nox has had a roller coaster of a run in WWE, she's had a feud with Dakota Kai, which she lost, multiple ACL injuries, and then when she finally got called up to the main roster with Shotzi Blackheart as a tag partner, the duo went nowhere.
The two would be split up thanks to last year's draft because WWE management simply can't help themselves, and Tegan would be released in November 2021 due to the most popular excuse "Budget cuts" while not being used at all.
Now that the man with three H's is in charge of creative and bringing back released talent like Johnny Gargano, Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, Karrion Kross and Scarlett, and Hit Row, which I definitely didn't want to see Top Dolla again for various reasons and I'll leave it at that, it's very likely she will return to the promotion and the first feud I want to see is her and Shotzi going at it. With their breakup and Blackheart turning heel afterwards makes perfect sense.
4. Candice LeRae
And speaking of Johnny Gargano, he and his wife Candice LeRae had a baby boy back in February of this year and a couple months after that, her contract with the company expired.
It probably had to do with the fact that LeRae didn't like where her husband's creativity was going and she decided to let her contract expire, especially with the fact she had the baby not too long before.
With Johnny Wrestling returning to the company and his first feud seems to be with his former protégé Theory, having LeRae show up to confront A-Town would make sense as well.
3. Kairi Sane
Yes, I know, she's in Stardom, the promotion she calls home, but let me explain why I would name Kairi as a wrestler I want to see return.
Ever since her fantastic run in NXT, Kairi Sane had a lot going for her, a former NXT Women's Champion and the 2017 Mae Young Classic Winner, please WWE, bring back that tournament! When she was called up for the main roster to join Asuka as one half of the Kabuki Warriors, it went nowhere.
WWE repackaged her as a stereotypical Japanese performer, playing a flute and wearing eyeliner, which I thought was hot, but I thought it really didn't do any wonders for her.
Kairi ended up getting tossed to the side for Nia Jax to injure twice, sending Sane packing from the company, even though she wanted to leave so she can be with her husband, who she married back in February of 2020.
Now that Kairi's back in Stardom as her infamous Pirate Princess gimmick she's best known for, she could end her career right there, but if she were to return to WWE, HHH might be able to pull some strings and negotiate with Stardom to have Kairi come back, and that is what I'd want to see, because I'm a simp for KAIRI and that explains some of the books I've written for her on wattpad.
2. Eric Young
Eric Young might not have had the best of runs in WWE under Vinny Mac's rule, but that doesn't mean he wasn't great in NXT. The former leader of SAnitY, Young and his stable dominated the field of NXT, showing up, beating up wrestlers, acting all crazy and maniacal, won him and Alexander Wolfe the NXT Tag Team Championships.
They'd go on to main event Takeovers even participate in the first ever WarGames match in 2017 before they moved up in 2018 without Nikki Cross (not Nikki A.S.H., I'm not calling her that, you can't make me!) and things went downhill soon after.
The group was used sparingly before they were split up in different brands: Wolfe in NXT UK, rejoining Imperium, Killian Dain went back to NXT, and Eric Young was used in, checks notes, Main Event for most of his time in WWE.
When Young was released in 2020, he went on to praise HHH for his time in NXT while bashing Vince for saying he "failed as a leader". It's understandable to say that but the good thing is that Young and HHH keep in touch with each other.
Now that HHH is in charge of creative, it could be fitting to bring Young back alongside Alexander Wolfe to reform SAnitY as if the first run never happened, even though it won't be the same without Killian Dain, who's now in AEW under the name Big Damo.
1. Aleister Black
Aleister Black was a huge signing for WWE back in 2017, where the beginning of his career went really well. He would make a huge impression at Takeover: Orlando and would have bangers of matches with Tomasso Ciampa, Andrade, and Johnny Gargano, winning the NXT Championship, but when he got called up to the main roster in 2019 alongside Ricochet, and then, and then.
He basically did video promos where he would stay in a dark room, staying in there every week like a Dutch goth guy, and then Black turned heel, which didn't go anywhere. He'd be taken off to for months until Black'd start doing video packages where he would read stories about "The Father".
Who's the Father? Joseph Seed from Far Cry 5?
When Black returned to WWE, he costed Big E a match before being released the following week until a month later, he showed up in AEW.
Since Black was a Triple H guy, it was no surprise Vince didn't like him and pushed him to nothingness, but with HHH in charge of the main roster and Black wanting to quit AEW to come back to Raw or Smackdown, there's a chance that it might happen because Aleister Black deserved so much more than his last run where an old man in his 70s didn't know the definition of cool anymore nor did his best friend Bruce.
Don't Want:
5. Velveteen Dream
Actually, I'm gonna call him Patrick Clark instead because his future was all but a dream.
Patrick Clark, the man behind the persona, had such a unique character and was very talented, not just in the ring, but in the microphone as well. Every match he had with Gargano, Ciampa, Ricochet, and Aleister Black were bangers, but in came early 2019, he won his first and only Championship, the NXT North American Championship.
Then, well, here comes the bad stuff. Audible sigh.
There were claims and accusations where Clark had sexually harassed his fellow female workers and was somehow allowed on NXT TV.
Then, in 2021, he was released and, not recently, he was arrested for trespassing, battery, possession of paraphernalia, and, checks notes, thanks for coming Patrick!
If WWE were to bring him back, he'd clean himself up, but it's just not worth it. Let him rot in jail for all I care.
4. Lars Sullivan
This one is just uncomfortable to talk about because, I'll admit, I was a huge fan of Lars. I saw him live at a house show in St. Pete, Florida back in 2018, same with Ciampa, Clark, EC3, Heavy Machinery, even Kassius Ohno (Chris Hero).
I didn't get to take any pictures with them, but it didn't matter, even though it was a blessing in disguise that I didn't need to get one from Clark or Lars since I learned later on in 2019 after I learned Lars had a bad past with taking part in adult movies, homophobic slurs, which I absolutely hate because my sister-in-law had grown up around two dads and no mother so try sharing that with her, and leaving inappropriate messages for female models or whatever.
Now that he's out of wrestling for good, I don't miss him one bit and WWE should never bring him back. They should just blacklist him, just like Sexy Star, but that's for another list.
3. Eva Marie
Oh God, this gets worse from here.
Listen, I'm all about women's wrestling and I want those ladies to be as good as the men, maybe even better than them, but to see this non-professional wrestler come back and not be better than before is not what I want on my television!
Eva's work in the WWE was just the worst: from her first run to the second run she had last year, that was stupid.
We wanted another Evolution PPV and I assumed WWE heard us saying "Eva-Lution" like a very old man in his late 70s would guess and decided to give us that instead of the PPV we all loved.
Not to mention that if they listened to us instead of this piece of shit wrestler, it would've been great. Here you guys come, telling me that I was being harsh on Eva Marie, seriously, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK NO MORE!
SHE CAN GO BACK TO HOLLYWOOD AND BE A LESS FAMOUS JESSICA WALTER FOR ALL I CARE!
FUCK!
She can't wrestle, Eva can't wrestle so hard, and I don't want her back in the company, not on my TV screen.
Also, R.I.P. Miss Walter, I mean no disrespect towards the legacy you left behind earlier this year.
2. Braun Strowman
Look, I know he's appearing on Raw in Kansas City tonight, but I have to point this out.
I don't want to see Strowman have another run in WWE. It's simple, they ruined him, character-wise.
And seriously, I respect Strowman as a human being. He seems like a very nice guy outside the ring, but when it comes to his character in WWE, I'd largely suggest he stays in Control Your Narrative, where he can actually, *cough* control his narrative alongside his real life best friend Edward Callahan III.
Why is his character in WWE dead and ruined? Look, it's very simple, let's start from the top: Vince McMahon was born, the end.
Not only does that make everyone mad, it also insults the fans' intelligence and they try to mock us and get away with it. If this doesn't make sense about me not wanting to see Strowman in WWE anymore, then I don't know what does.
1. Nia Jax
Ah, yes, the only so called "wrestler" who got so big that she killed Kairi Sane's WWE career by injuring her out of the company. She's just a gigantic bitch, both figuratively and literally, that the only iconic moments Nia had in WWE was when she became a meme with "MY HOLE" and when she was released last year, regardless of her mental break.
Nia is not over wherever she goes, thinking she can get away with her wrestling style and her personality behind the scenes.
Since her release from the company, Nia has been so active on social media that she cuts Twitter promos on the Covid shots, politics (not gonna say anything about that because I hate politics), anything with race, and how she was the best wrestler alive. Yeah, that last one aged like milk.
I do not want to see Nia come back to the company and hurt many more wrestlers. I don't want to talk about the fact that she literally made me almost cry when Kairi was leaving thanks to Nia and her recklessness inside the ring! I'm never gonna stop not gonna forgiving her for injuring the entire women's division on the reg, you can't make me!
You can't blame me proclaiming that, right? I'm sorry, I'm not sexist or anything, but to see Nia Jax' existence makes me question my own.
WWE, please don't bring her back. She's not worth the time to spend and the money to pay.
And that's my list, which wrestler do you want to come back in WWE and which one do you not want to return? Let me know!
