- CHAPTER EIGHT: GRAND ESCAPE

Nick looked confused. But Noora, Ellis Owen sprang into action.

"Go!" Owen yelled. Owen pushed past Nick and the four began running for the door they entered through.

Nick was a slow runner and lager behind. Suddenly he stopped, as he saw a glimpse of the outline of Indominus rex through the trees.

Instead he turned, he ran back the other way. Noora noticed this and yelled "Son of a Bitch!"

Owen and Ellis skid to a halt as the Indominus rex emerged from the jungle and blocked their escape.

It bellowed forth a roar, shaking the trees and scaring the crap out of everyone in the control room.

The three turned and ran back the way they came, but Ellis wasn't fast enough. The Indominus snatched him up in her clawed hands and He screamed as she bit into him.

During this, Percy had been hearing everything as he pushed down the gas break and spread towards the asset.

Masrani and the Mikaelson's along side Vivian and Lowery listened to Ellis' screams over the radio. They could hear crunching sounds and hope whimpered in fright.

A horrified Claire and Percy could also hear the sounds of Ellis being eaten.

Nick reached the back door, he immediately used a handprint ID and a security code to override the door lock. The huge door began to open and he ran to it but he hesitated.

looking back at Owen, and Noora who were running towards him with Indominus rex right behind him.

He saw the Indominus with Ellis in her mouth, and watched as She rips off one of his legs.

Nick screamed and ran through the door.

A video feed showed the paddock door opening with an alarm blaring "SECURITY BREACH."

"Close the door." Masrani said

"We can't lock him in there with that thing!" Lowery yelled

"If anything happens to Noora-" Katherine warned. But Masrani didn't listen.

"Come on, close it now!" He ordered Lowery didn't react, so Masrani leaned over and pressed the button himself.

Claire yelled through the phone, annoying Kol. "Somebody talk to me! What is happening?"

The door began to slowly close and Owen and Noora ran towards it, with the huge predator gaining on them from behind. But unknowingly, Noora didn't know the predator wanted her.

"Shit!" Owen ran through and attempted to pull Noora, but she couldn't move from her jacket getting stuck.

"Fuck!" She yelled. The Workers rushed around in a wild panic, trying to escape, as Indominus got halfway through before the door closed on her.

Noora took off her jacket and got pulled under a crane alongside her father by Percy. Percy grabbed his survival knife and cut the crane's fuel line, as made the the fuel had covered all three of them. Percy smeared it all over himself and the other two followed suit. He took this chance to break the headset, everyone in the control room couldn't hear what was happening from Percy's view.

Her head and one arm stick free and she snaps her jaws at where they were. The Indominus pushed the door off of its track with the servos that whined in protest and then stepped out from inside the paddock, from the inside of his suffocating cage. The indominus was freed.

Owen watched wide-eyed, as Indominus stomped over to where Nick was sitting in front of a pickup truck.

She walked around the left side as Nick, mustering up his courage, peered around the right front bumper. He whimpered and sober as he saw the huge tail disappearing around the rear of the truck, then turned back around, trying to hide.

He clutched and kissed his crucifix. Noora gulped as a year feel from her eyes. She didn't watch and turned around burying her face in Percy's chest.

Suddenly the truck was violently knocked aside, flying through the air and crashing making a shit ton of noise, it land on the ground upside-down, leaving the supervisor sitting out in the open completely exposed.

He, Percy and Owen look at one another for a long moment before, the jaws snapped down, grabbing Nick and lifting him up out of there view.

Having finished eating Nick, the Indominus approached the crane and crouched down on all fours, sniffing. The three of them lied back, Noora in the arms of Percy as she didn't dare look at the dinosaur she knew was right beside her. They were perfectly still, as the dinosaur's bloodied, gore-encrusted jaws inched closer and closer... until finally she withdrawed, seemingly growing impatient when she didn't find anyone. rising up out of view, and walked or stomped away.

Slowly, Noora lifted her head, watching the dinosaur go, her thudding footsteps retreated into the distance.

She Shivered, before hiding her head back into Percy's chest and exhaled in relief.

"Everyone remain calm. The implant will shock it if it gets too close to a perimeter fence." Claire announced as she walked in.

"Okay, it's moving really fast." Lowery said

"This is control, put out a park-wide alert-" Vivian started but was interrupted by Masrani "Hang up the damn phone, please!"

"Sorry, I'm getting new information. Everything is fine." Vivian said quickly as she put the phone down. Rebekah and Kol's eyes widened. "What the hell are you doing!" Katherine asked.

"That thing will kill hundreds of people"

"Let Asset Containment capture it quietly. The very existence of this park is predicated on our ability to handle incidents like this. It was an eventuality, okay?" Masrani said.

"See that's the problem with you humans, It's hilarious actually, create an animal twice as big as you, with hundreds of more teeth and no humanity at all and somehow your in awe, and don't give a damn for human life but when a single bullet is fired suddenly the world is on fire"

"Don't start Kol"

"Oh shut up Marcel" Kol glared at him. "I honestly don't understand how you both can be so calm guessing that your daughter almost got eaten by those monsters" Kol said to Hayley and Klaus.

Claire furrowed her eyebrows as she looked at the screen with Noora's information.

"You should put that in the brochure. Eventually, one of these things will eat somebody." Lowery said to Masrani and Claire.

"That paddock is four miles from the closest attraction. ACU can handle this, no one else is gonna get-" Claire was interrupted by Katherine.

"Eaten?"

The Troopers were locking and loading various weapons. An automated voice had spoken "to all units, this is a non-lethal operation. Understood?"

A trooper headed towards the camera, with a stun device in his hand, he activated it as it started up, the blue bolt became visible.
