Old friends

Keith knelt in front of a door with the small knife as lance walked around holding a rock as he suddenly threw it at a security camera as keith smirked when the door clicked open.

"Wanna go shopping?" Keith stood up as he opened the door with a smirking bow but Lance kept it open for Keith to come in.

"How's it feel to be free?" Lance smiled as they walked through the closed Target store and went to the men's section.

"Lets get out of prison jump suits first and I'll get back to you on that," Keith looked at his prison suit as lance looked through the clothes.

"Oh babe this would look hot on you," lance held up a leather jacket for him. Keith shrugged grabbing it as he looked through the clothes. Five years was a long time to not get a choice on what to wear.

Lance stripped off the suit as he was behind a clothes rack and kicked it away with a laugh.

Keith smiled watching him as lance let out his inner child for a moment, he looked at his boyfriends body, seeing some battle scars and blushed seeing the tattoo on Lances chest over his heart. It was a K in dark red and a faded black outline of it. Keith smiled knowing lance was his but he would always be Lances.

"Like what you see red?" Lance noticed him staring.

"Always," Keith smiled smugly as lance put on a pair of jeans and grabbed a belt.

"You know now that we're out, we gotta have a plan red," lance walked over to him.

"Like where to go?" Keith gulped wrapping his arms around his boyfriends broad shoulders. His hand sliding down to touch the tattoo over Lances heart, he couldn't help but love it.

"I'm okay with anywhere as long as your with me," lance pressed his forehead against Keith's.

"Don't be cheesy," Keith giggled.

"We've never been freely together Keith, five years ago we were hiding our relationship, I only got to kiss you as a free man once, we've been in love behind bars for five years, and I am never going back, and I'm only going to be with you," lance held him in his arms.

"You and me, it's always going to be you and me," Keith smiled up at him, lance kissed him softly and sweetly as he enjoyed the moment, no guards to separate them, no hiding in a closet just to be together, no more hiding.

"I love you," lance whispered against his lips as keith looked at him with hooded eyes.

"I love you too," Keith kissed him back with passion.

"We should find the others, warn them of what could come, Allura is familiar with the galra," Keith sighed as he tore himself away from lance and unzipped the jump suit as lance found a tee to cover himself.

"Where would we even start? Who knows if they're still together," lance pursed his lips but his eyes lit up seeing a jean jacket with wool around the collar bone.

"We find Allura first and go from there, she's the strongest one no offense to the others," Keith nodded as lance snorted agreeing.

"There's someone I want to visit before we go off to find the others," lance told him as keith put on some real clothes.

"How does this look?" Keith pulled on the leather jacket after he found other clothes. He had black jeans on with a grey long sleeve that fitted his slim body as the leather jacket was a crop covered his upper body.

"I am the luckiest guy in the world," lance squatted down with his hands clasped together. Keith laughed at him as he gave lance a playful kick.

"Your such a dork," Keith covered his mouth laughing.

Lance laughed getting up as he took Keith's hand and walked around the store. Keith let go of Lances hand as he went in the electronic section checking out the newer technology after five years, it just seemed to have better quality.

"Hey lance what do you think about-" Keith turned around but his jaw dropped when he saw lance standing on a toddler tricycle with a light saber in hand and a spiked mohawk helmet on.

"Why..." Keith whispered narrowing his eyes.

"Look how cool the toys are!" Lance beamed as he kicked off and rode on the tricycle like a skateboard down the hall.

A woman with blond hair that ended under her shoulders gasped from the bed as she felt the presences of another.

"Wally wake up," she patted her boyfriend next to her.

"Mm," the red head waved her off.

"Wallace," Artemis glared pushing him more.

"I think someone's in the house," she whispered, that got Wally's attention.

"Did you hear something?" Wally sat up as Artemis glanced at the door.

"It's just a feeling," she pursed her lips as she got up.

"Art wait," Wally sped to her side.

"Just stay here, I'll check it out," he sighed holding her arms.

"Fine but I'll get the bat," Artemis quirked am unamused brow at him.

"It's probably nothing," he snorted walking out as he closed the door behind him.

Wally inhaled deeply as he walked through the halls and went down stairs to see if anything was odd. The living room was clear and nothing looked like it was missing.

"What is she talking about?" Wally snorted walking past the kitchen but blinked when he heard a noise. He walked in carefully but felt paralyzed seeing who was there.

"Hey KF," lance smirked at him leaning against the counter as keith was sitting on the table with his legs crossed, snacking on some pretzels.

"B-blue..." Wally stuttered with wide eyes. "Red, your-your out?"

"I mean legally no, but yet here we are," lance shrugged crossing his arms.

"You and Artemis? Nice catch," he looked at a picture of the two on the wall.

"What are you doing here lance?" Wally hissed.

"I need a favor," lance looked at him calmly.

"No," Wally glared.

"Speedster to speedster," lance told him sternly. Wally sighed running a hand through his hair.

"I'm not promising anything but what's the favor?" Wally closed his eyes.

"There's a war coming, I'm going to need you Wally," lance looked at the ground pursing his lips.

"I'm out of the hero business, I'm out of that life," Wally growled. "I have a girl, a home, a life, I'm not going back,"

"Your never out Wally, I need you to get zatanna, but don't tell anyone else," lance walked up to him. Wally backed away seeing how lance had really grown from five years ago, the scar on his eye brow, his height.

"Why us? Lance I can't go back, once I'm in it's hard as hell to get back out," Wally whispered desperately.

"And I'm not going back to prison," lance snarled grabbing his shirt as he pulled Wally close.

"I spared you and the others, at least make it worth it for waiting this long in that hell hole," he pushed Wally back as the red head glared a little.

"And I spared you from going to Arkham," Wally spat back.

"So leave me out of it!" He raised his voice but they all turned hearing someone clear their throat.

"Why are criminals in my house?" Artemis stood in the doorway with a dark glare.
