Writing Prompt

A friend of yours is visiting your home for the first time to socialise. You get sidetracked and go to the kitchen to brew some coffee for your guest, but as soon as you return, your friend tells you it was nice to meet your sister/brother. But you're an only child, and you live alone.

Who is this friend? How is the main character going to figure a way out of this situation? Who is this supposed sister/brother? What relation does it have with the MC's friend and why or how?

The ending must satisfactorily answer the questions mentioned above but can still end on a cliffhanger.

Word Count: 1500-2500 words.

Writing Bonus:

Write the first 200 words of your story in another perspective. This does not mean a new character. This means that if you have written originally in third person, then we would like you try out writing 200 words in first person, and vice versa.

They must feel different in a way that they're two different perspectives, without the need for them to be two different characters.

Graphic Prompt

Make a book cover that has lots of dark hues and colours. It should be able to radiate grim vibes, and preferably should be a typography cover, and/or also have a silhouette (optional) however the main aspect of this cover should be the text. Please be sure to not only relate it to the prompt, but the writing.

Graphic Bonus:

Create a matching book-mark to your cover. This should represent the vibes we gain from the book cover, and should either entail a book quote from the written project, and/or the title of the book your team has came up with.

Potential Genres: Horror, Paranormal, Mystery/Thriller, Crime, Fantasy.
