A vampire is said to be an ancient being that feasted on the blood of the living to sustain itself. Vampires are creatures that were once human but were turned through the acts of draining their blood and drinking from a vampire older than them. Either that or they are simply bitten and turned.
All vampires have a strengthened ability to naturally take on more werewolves than one. They are the natural enemy to werewolves and lycans.
Vampires were said once to be able to bear children to continue their actual bloodlines but throughout years of change it is said that born vampires will only show up twice a year if their mother desires a child.

A hybrid is just the vampiric term (and more commonly used with shifters) for half-bloods/breeds. A hybrid vampire are those who are born as a mixed subspecies. Examples below:
Vampire/werewolf
Vampire/lycan
Vampire/Human
Etc.
Vampire half breeds are less common than other hybrids due to the inability for vampires to conceive. Depending on what they are mixed with they may have other traits from the parent that isn't a vampire.

-Fledgling (or Newborn)
A fledgling can be defined in two different ways.
The first way is when a human is bitten they are considered a fledgling or newborn for the first ten years of their vampiric life.
The second way, and much more tedious, is the vampires who are born. In comparison to bitten vampires they are considered fledglings until they stop their aging process. When a born vampire reaches their desired maturity they rank up from newborn.

-Ordinaries
An 'ordinary' vampire are those without special traits or gifts. Most of the time these vampires are what one would normally think of when they think 'vampire'. They have super strength, speed, and heightened abilities but they lack a few abilities that some vampires have. An 'ordinary' vampire cannot even hold the ability to charm others and these kinds of vampires are most common. An Ordinary are often underlings in their years after being a Newborn. They tend to join covens or even packs (though rarely) and serve to avoid being killed.

-Specials
A vampire under the 'specialty' class are those with unique abilities compared to ordinaries. A Special can fall in to any rank besides Ordinary, of course. A special vampire doesn't have to be anything extreme. These vampires can simply have the ability to charm other creatures and they are put in a special class. These vampires are just as common as an Ordinary.

-Regents
A regent vampire are those in high political power who work beneath the Elder vampires. They are considered substitutes for Elders if an Elder falls or steps down from their position. A Regent is something someone must work up to and they have to be above the age of 50(in vampiric years) to become this rank.
A Regent is considered a job title, not a type of vampire you may be.

-Elders
Elder vampires are those who are over the age of 150. Elders are highly respected and they usually oversee covens or the government of vampires from their enemies. An Elder can be an Ordinary or a Special.
Elders can be defined in two ways. First, those who are over the age of 150 or those who may rule over covens for 70+ years.

-High Vampires
A High Vampire can only be considered this rank through status and age. High Vampires are the oldest of vampires and usually are between the ages of 300-1000. Beyond age, a High Vampire can only be considered this rank through a status. Their status of their life as kings, queens, or old world leaders may consider them as Higher than others.
The biggest status is how far along their lineage might go. For example, if a vampire that is four hundred has bloodlines still continuing to modern day they may rank up to a High Vampire.
High Vampires are considered "ungoverned" if they aren't joined within a coven. This means that if they aren't causing mass chaos they tend to go about their own way within any input. Most High Vampires are lone wanderers and a High Vampire is a rarity to come across.

-The Vandruvan Empire
The Empire
In the early 1400s was the first creation of the Vandruven(also called) theVandruvan Empire. The family name-Vandruva-was the reigning vampires of Russia from 1416-1704. These vampires were open about what they were and were documented in the records by their own approval.
These vampires were rumored to be the first in Russia, therefore, one of the more powerful vampires in comparison to the rest of the world-at that time. They had branching family names such as Cornova, Schek, and Farquhar.
These vampires were said to have made a deal with another entity that granted them immortality or that they were some sort of deity themselves.
The Vandruvan family consisted of mostly women who, after they seduced a man and had a child, would raise them and eventually change them into a full blooded vampire. Their mission was to create the strongest and most fortified vampire lineage for the world to come.
In writing it was said that some of the vampires had the ability to change shape so it is rumored that the Vandruven vampires were also favored by the Goddess, Luna.

The Last Empress

In the year 1701, the vampire princess Lilith Vandruva, was the ruling queen of the vast Vandruvan Empire. She had only been Empress from the years 1701-1704 and was overall the reason for the downfall of the entire empire and all of the immortal family.
In her years as leader she had gained a reputation as a werewolf slave master and a semi-cannibalistic vampire. Her empire, in her years, was the largest growing vampire population that surpassed all of her previous leaders. Originally she planned to start a world war and may have been successful if it wasn't for the death of her infant daughter, Ophelia.
With the murder of her daughter, Lilith went into an absolute rage. She had attempted to kill her cousin, Drayke, who survived the brutal attack without her knowledge. During her rage she murdered the entire royal family along with single handedly killing off each offspring in her army. Due this massive genocide it was later documented down as "Lilith's Recrimination".
From this brutal attack Lilith caused, and from Drayke warning nearby human cities, the empress was eventually subdued in iron chains. From the year 1704 to what many assume is modern times, Lilith is said to be locked away in a crypt hundred of feet deep below her crumbled castle in modern day Russia.
The only surviving pair that has the Vandruvan blood is Lilith and Drayke.

Modern day Lore and Stories

It is heavily rumored that during the a blood moon it is actually Lilith stepping in front of the moon. Many werewolves passed this story along and told the story of her mass rage and how the blood from the earth got soaked up by the moon.

People believe that Lilith had the ability to transform into a black snow leopard and that the goddess favored her enough to give her a second form.

Because of Lilith's well known history that dated back so far in the world of werewolves, it is considered a disrespect to mention her last name. Vandruva, pronounced Vaun-Drew-Vah, is considered a curse and many people in the supernatural world refuse to say it. Some people believe it will conjure her up.

Documented in history as well as Lilith's writings, which were previously held in the crypt owned by The Voices; the werewolf priests and priestesses, it explained that the vampire had venomous claws instead of fangs. It was also written that Lilith could walk in the sunlight if she pleased.

Lilith was never made into a children's tale or a werewolf poem like her cousin, Drayke, had become. She was written in history as one of the most powerful vampires to date. She had a murder count that ranged in the high thousands which was a mix of vampires, were-species, and humans. Her main murder count was vampires.

For those who worshipped the Empress, they still even in modern times, hold celebrations over her crypt and leave sacrifices outside of it. This celebration is commonly known as

•Or translated to English is called "Feeding the Vampire"
This celebration lasts for two days to congratulate the Empress for being so powerful. Any species is allowed to join but weirdly enough, werewolves typically reign over this event due to the celebration of the mass murder of the vampire kind.

It is said that Lilith favored werewolves over vampires and she had fallen in love with the werewolf goddess. Many believe she killed so many vampires as a deal with Luna to allow her daughter to pass safely into the heavens. These rumors tie in with the fact that the priests and priestess were given so many of Lilith's physical writings. Many believe that she was kind to werewolves but heavily disliked her own kind.
