I just came up with this idea:

Dads must take some kind of dad joke course, because the jokes are so similar (and bad). Like, my dad just made a pun about teenagers. Fortunately I can't really tell it here because it doesn't work in English.

When I presented this idea to my mom she said that dads propably make up their own jokes, because they don't learn that well.

Naturally my mind couldn't just leave this here, but kept thinking it further.

I came up with this idea: maybe dads have one collective mind that everyone takes turns to use. That would explain similar jokes, and the fact that dads are usually pretty annoying and a bit dumb.
