BITCH!! I SAID THIS WOULD BE OUT SOON LIKE FOUR MONTHS AGO IM SO SORRY WTF,, but I know you all know what I'm doing so I won't dive into it yet again... anyway..

Words: 8092 (excluding synopsis and A/N's)

Hello hello! Welcome to the next chapter of Woven! And this image that kills me every time I see it :)))

there's a fun little announcement at the very end of the chapter, so go ahead and check it out after!

Anyway...

Along with that notification, I'm also here to plop in some heavy trigger warnings. Like, this is the most uncomfortable chapter in the book for sure... which may be why I didn't finish this chapter as quickly as I wanted to. But I picked this plot so,, gotta stick with her ig :p

⚠️ Blood, Beatings, Sexual Abuse/Assault, Suicidal Themes, Nervous Breakdowns ⚠️

If any of this makes you really uncomfortable, I'll give a brief synopsis at the end of the chapter to just catch you up on what happened.

If you do want to read, I'll put stages along in the chapter. each one includes the warnings of the stages before.

⚠️ = raged beatings, blood, nervous breakdown,

⚠️⚠️ = sexual assault/abuse, r*pe, suicidal themes, gore/implied gore

⚠️[[TRIGGERS OVER]]⚠️ = all of that stuff is done being talked about. You can continue to read. There may be light mention of it, but nothing worse than what the synopsis will go over.

Okay so with that we're ready to go. But please please please, if this will trigger you don't delve into the chapter.

It took all of me to fight my urge to turn back around and trade in Henry for Y/n. The pained cough put into the comm after a low thump fanned a fire in my stomach, a sick feeling lifted and infected my heart.

Another, louder and sharper hit met my ear, causing my body to physically wince. Her uneven breathing finally pulled in a full breath just to cry out angrily. "Fucking OW!"

A strange, overwhelming feeling spread from my stomach to the very tips of my fingers. It left hot trails of fire in its wake, spreading wildly until my entire body was lit aflame from the inside.

I wasn't sure what exactly was happening to me, or too afraid to acknowledge how easily I would do it, but my hands itched to wrap around my katanas and slice through whatever lowlife dared to put their hands on her.

My feet were light despite the extra weight as I sped through the gardens, kicking up fallen leaves and petals behind me in a silent gust.

Henry's body was heaving, horrified as he weakly shifted about on my back. "You're gonna go back, right?"

A satisfying image of me smacking this guy around a little calmed my fraying composure. "Of course I am." I snapped, leaping up a tree that stood fairly close to the smooth stone wall separating the mansion from the rest of the city. With a swift leap I landed on the sloped top of the wall, slowly sliding down off its edge and onto the other side of the now looming 13 foot wall.

With half assed caution, I scanned the area once over. No guards in sight, but I figured as much. Silently, I sprinted down the small decline towards the chain link fence that enclosed the less seen parts of the manor from the outside world. The momentum that stayed within me flung my body up and over the razor wire decorating the fence in a loose twist.

The outside world that greeted me was desolate, a fear was potent not only in Henry, but the entire city. Aside from the odd car and taxi there was close to no one on the street, none that wanted to be at least. The city that never slept was holding its breath.

"Where are you taking me?" Henry's weak voice cracked.

In the moment, there was nothing I wanted more than to drop him then and there, let him fend for himself as I get back to the person I actually went in there for. I ran faster to fend the urge off. "A bunker on wheels."

An unwelcome sigh of relief left him. This didn't sit right with me, so I didn't give him a chance of preparation before leaping up the side of a building and gripping a suspended ladder of a fire escape. He let out a small yelp as I swung my body enough to run up the side of the building, using the momentum to throw us both safely onto the fire escape landing.

His body shook like a rain-drenched cat, his shaky arms clambered to get a better hold on me while I sped messily up the flights of rattling stairs to the top of the building. I probably would've laughed if not for the circumstances.

My feet fled across the rooftops like lightning. A sick, sticky, crawling feeling grew from my stomach, inching outwards through my spine. The feeling only worsened the longer I wasn't there with her.

Within a moments notice I planted my feet on the lip of a building, peered down onto the Shell Raiser fit snugly in the alley. I scanned the area, spotting a pipe that ran down the entire side of the building. I rushed towards it, firmly wrapping my clammy hands against the cheap, chilled metal. I anchored my hold and cast my body down, feet planting firmly against the old brick wall and swiftly slid down until I could safely hop to the ground.

Once I hit the cement, nothing could stop me from shoving Henry off my back. The man roughly landed onto the unkept alley ground while I walked to the van, sliding open to see Floyd mid jump. He flashed his attention completely around from surveillance footage on the screens. His hand held a fistful of his sweater over his chest.

"Oh! It's just you." The blonde commented through a wobbling voice, adjusting his headset. But he didn't relax even a little bit at the sight of me. If I thought the fear in the streets was unbearable, whatever was happening in here was torture. His eyes were raining sheets of terror down his face, his frame, despite being strong, trembled as if he were as close to destruction as a butterfly wing being held between a toddlers clumsy fingers.

My eyes fled from him to the live footage behind him. A ghost gripped my soul and yanked me forwards into the van, making my palms slam against the table in front of the screen, scanning everything desperately.

There, hanging disoriented between two ninjas, was Y/n. They were dragging her like a rag doll. She was trying to get her feet under her, but it was almost impossible with the way they were tugging and pushing her around by her arms. Their hands wrapped around the back of her neck, keeping her head down in submission at a painful angle.

A rage tore through my body at the sight.

Henry stumbled into the van, knees weak and wobbly like a newborn deer while everything finally started to catch up to him. He pathetically crawled farther into the van and rested his back against the vans wall. "Ha, thank you!" His voice was breathless, but light as he leaned his head back.

I slammed my fist on the table and whipped back on him. "Shut up!" The fire in me hit a barrel of gun powder as he laid in sight. "She wouldn't even be in there if you just went with her in the first place!"

Don't waste your time Leo. She is still in there!

With a bitter taste in my mouth I sprang out of the van, consumed in a fire as I sprinted back to the mansion, leaving inaction behind as a distant memory.

"How's she doing?" I asked, pressing my fingers to my comm.

"She... she could be better." Raph's voice crackled through, followed closely by Donnie.

"Good news though, they aren't planning on killing her at the moment."

"Keep it that way." I grunted, fire licking at my racing heart. "Y/n, I'm on my way, we'll get you out of there, safe and sound."

**••..••**

That probably would've been a more comforting statement if the turtles weren't so outnumbered.

It seemed like the farther they guided you, the more ninja and mutants congregated, trailing after the Mikey who dragged a fear-paralyzed Tiberius by the arm. There had to be at least a hundred of them squishing and squeezing through the halls like blood cells filtering through a capillary.

They led me through the twists and turns of the hallways, up to the top floor, through doors at random, all the while being quick and ominously quiet. The ninja's banter amongst themselves was snuffed out, only supplemented by their nearly silent footfalls. It was off putting to say the least.

Mikey's strong strides jarringly stopped in front of a little secluded door that looked like any other. He pulled out a small card from a small compartment in his belt, swiping it atop the keypad on the door handle. The trick buttons faded from the screen, giving way to a welcoming green followed by a strangely heavy click.

He stormed inside the enormous room, throwing Tiberius forward angrily like he was nothing. The man grunted, but nothing more came from him as he wallowed in his shock induced body.

It wasn't until you stepped up alongside Mikey did you spot Polly standing proudly amongst a few other foot soldiers. They were all holding controllers and wore something that looked like VR goggles.

I could hardly believe this was happening as she lifted her goggles. This gave way to revealing a glare of abyssal repugnance, more pure than I'd ever seen any person hold.

"We're all here Y/n, we're with you." Leo spoke, nearly making you jump out of your skin.

It took everything not to look around for him, instead opting to fix your gaze on the gradually recuperating middle-aged man before you.

Polly didn't even spare you a glance as she clipped the controller to her jeans and began her walk forward, sending strong waves of ice through you with every step.

A ninja ran up to her, placing their hand on her should while speaking lowly. "Miss, there's word that authorities are on their way. Make this quick." Despite their efforts in keeping it quiet, the room was quieter and broadcasted their words.

Polly brushed their hand off coolly, paying them no mind.

Tiberius lifted his dizzy head to meet Polly's approaching figure. "Wha—? Polly?" He took a look around before his eyes landed back in the woman with a blaze of fury, tearing through the man as he propped his knee up before him. "What's the meaning of all this!?!"

She bristled, her deathly cold aura fought his overbearingly fiery one as he attempted to stand. Her fingers calmly slid to her control pad and flicked across it lightning fast. Mikey's large hands to clamp down firmly on Tiberius' shoulders.

He flit his attention over his shoulder at the glowering turtle easily overpowering him. "P-Polly, tell me what's going on." He said much gentler as he turned his attention back to her, who stood above him with an icy glare. Her voice was even, stone cold silk.

"Are you scared?"

Tiberius's mouth opened and closed, no words formed in his worried confusion as his eyes darted around for some kind of escape. "I-I—"

⚠️

She huffed and grabbed a fistful of his hair tightly, slowly pulling his head back and in turn forcing him to look her in the eyes. "Come on Tiberius, I know your sense of self preservation is better than that."

When he didn't say anything, Polly sneered and roughly pushed his head away, standing back to her full height.

Less than a second later she wound her leg back and flung the toe of her boot against him, aggressively colliding with his stomach. He coughed through a forceful wheeze as his body folded forward on itself in breathless pain.

She wasn't satisfied yet. "You're a disgusting old man."

The slim fingers found their way back in his hair and lifted his head up by it, just enough to land her left fist against his jaw. "You deserve this, you deserve to lose everything you have." Her voice was getting less and less controlled with every hit.

You flinched as she crashed her knee against his nose, an audible crack echoed the silent room as blood spattered all over her knee. The more bloody hits she dealt, the less you could stomach it. You turned your face from it to look at something, anything else. One of the ninja holding you in place couldn't seem to watch either as you caught sight of them over your shoulder facing away.

They were looking at another ninja with unease. The one across the way gave a small nod to them. At this interaction the hand clasped around your arm tightened significantly as they looked towards Polly again.

"You have him now, that was all The Shredder promised you. The deal is fulfilled." They spoke, signalling to another few ninja who then ran back out of the room. "We'll light the fire and be on our way with the mutant."

"No!" She barked out viciously, sending small jump through the ninja. "I didn't risk my ass, give my time, and funnel the amount of money I did to for your boss,  just for you to leave me behind!"

She faced Tiberius again, whose head was a bloodied mess. "You're all staying until I'm done."

The uneasy feeling that floated amongst the ninja was getting more and more difficult to ignore by the second.

She furiously paced back and forth in front of him, a million thought crashing and tossing inside her head. A lioness toying with the fate of a sick antelope.

"Y/n. We're gonna do something that might thin the crowd. Don't move okay?" Leo's calm voice was grounding amongst this spiralling madness. I hummed lightly, careful not to draw attention.

Another solid strike found its way into Tiberius' ribs, instantly stealing your attention once more.

"Polly, stop." He grunted through the gravel in his bleeding mouth. He spit out everything that was pooling then rapidly blinked against the lights that decorated the ceiling. "Please stop."

Her shoulders squared an intensity clawed through her throat, the words grated out. "You never did."

A cold feeling filled your stomach and bubbled up the back of your brain upon hearing this.

Your mind was ripped away from Polly as what sounded like a police siren started to creep up towards the mansion. The ninjas all started to get visibly restless, scanning back and forth anxiously across the room.

Finally after a good ten seconds, the first few ninja wheeled around a threaded through the crowd of black gi's. Not long after more followed suit, eventually even the ones holding you pushed you away as they took off, causing you to stumble forward off your feet and onto your side.

"Hey! Where are you going?" Polly called after them. But none responded as they all eventually started to flee, taking the mutants with them.

Only three stayed behind, along with the deformed bug mutant that initially kidnapped Tiberius. "Okay, you've had your fun, now give us the turtle and we can go." One said, as they outstretched their hand to Polly, readying themselves to snatch it off her person if need be.

She eyed them warily, standing straight up as she regained but a sliver of poise she once held before. She took in a deep shaky breath while pushing the loose hair back over her head. "I'll return it to you after I'm finished here."

"No, this was the deal. You don't go back on deals with the Shredder." They warned, stepping closer.

Polly fumbled back out of their reach and defensively grabbed Mikey's controller, reanimating him with a swing of his single nunchuck towards the head of the ninja. They just narrowly dodged the blow.

"Back off." She warned. Her blonde locks stuck about, messily strewn about from her hair tie as each frantic stand caught the fluorescent lights.

The enormous bug mutant stepped in front of the ninja, staring down at Polly. Intimidating and tall, the ninja gave her one last chance.

"We can't let Mikey fight that thing!" Donnie cried, voice low but panicked.

"Well, we can't have him either!!" Raph countered, just as frantic accompanied by his signature twinge of anger.

You found yourself with you back pressed to the wall, watching with wide eyes. "Well you should choose soon!" You said, while a trembling started to consume your form. The smell of wet pennies was potent in the air thanks to the man who laid helpless on the ground between the mutants with a broken nose and bruising cuts along his slightly scruffed face.

His full eyes barely cracked open as the landed on you, a pleading fear carved into his red covered features while a choked cough spit up more viscous red.

Suddenly, an air grate fell from the ceiling between the mutants and only inches from Tiberius' face.

Polly, and the ninja standing opposite to her, followed up to where the grate had been only to see Raphael, Donnatello, and Leo barreling down with their weapons drawn.

"It's the tur-!" The ninja couldn't cry out or even draw a weapon in time before Raph's foot swung and smacked the ninja away by the head, tumbling across the room completely knocked out cold.

They all landed perfectly with little to no sound. While a sense of dread clouded around everyone else at their arrival, the biggest wave of relief washed over your body, unknotting your tensed muscles with a feeling that could only be described as a warm sun beam.

The two ninja and the mutant remained, facing off against Raph and Donnie in a cold stalemate.

"Keep them off us!" Leo ordered, swinging his swords about until they landed in a defensive stance, one blade held along the back of his forearm in front of him and the other held up across it. His back was towards the rest as he stood before the blank stare of Mikey's face.

It's didn't take any other words for Raph and Donnie to spring into action, synergistically hopping over one another and landing almost every hit against the mutant that the soldiers were hiding behind. This continued until they were almost out the door, before anyone else dared speak.

"We need a dart gun!" One of the ninjas cried out the door, doing their best to defend themselves from the flurry of attacks raining down on them.

Your eyes flicked back to Leo, who wore a stoic and deadly look within his trained eyes. Without losing his tight focus on Mikey and Polly, Leo called out to you who sat across from him against the wall. "Are you okay?"

"Eh—, yeah! Yeah I'm good, just a bit bruised." You replied, a shaky smile fighting to lift your lips into a smile.

He took in a deep breath, and his shoulders noticeably eased.

The frantic woman holding Mikey under her control shot her sharp eyes towards you, then to Leo, and back to you once more with a thinned, angry glare.

"Don't try it." Leo commanded with an air of malevolence you'd never seen from him before. His hands readjusted around the twin blades hilts, readying his strong legs to jump into action.

Within the tense silence held no room for movement, joints felt as if they weren't even there. Her brain was a maypole, plans and ideas strategically spun themselves about her conniving head, ducking and twisting amongst each other.

Headlong emotion poured its unfounded bravery into your racing heart, testing the waters as you propped your body up against the wall, your legs swung clumsily back under to bare your full weight.

Polly's sharp eyes watched your every movement. Leo watched her hands.

"If you think doing this is gonna prove something, it won't." The wall against your palm held small vibrations with the mass amount of bodies scattering below in a panic.

"The only thing you're getting out of this is a jail sentence." Leo interjected coldly through a deepest glare.

The woman turned to stone, her sober eyes glazed as if a bolt of lightning travelled straight through her head. The serenity in her stupefaction was only momentary, but it marked her. Instilling more potent varieties of emotion she was already fighting. Fear displayed plainly across the rising anger that spastically spilled out like a brimming jug, contorting her face unpredictably with each bump and swell within.

Her attention abruptly jumped between Leo, you, and Tiberius who still laid pathetically at her feet. A stillness settled in her, the eye of the storm. Her stare glued it's cold lour to Leo. "What do you know. You're a glorified sewer dweller."

"It's a little weird that a sewer dweller would understand the world around you better than you." Leo retorted coldly, shifting his weight a bit closer in your direction.

Polly's lip twitched, flashing a flicker of a sneer. "You have no idea what you're talking about—"

"Don't I?" He snapped. "I've been protecting this city from people like you for years. I know where you end up."

"If you knew anything about human life you'd understand everything is rigged for people like this!" The waver in her voice betrayed her as she struck the point of her shoe deep into Tiberius' ribs. Far too deep for ribs that weren't broken.

"Polly, stop!" You demanded, snatching a side glance from Leo. "You're going to kill him."

"GOOD!" She screamed, emotion ripping through her body like a wild fire. Within a breath, Mikey leapt towards Leo with his single intact nunchuck swinging about wildly, while the other which was only a hilt with a chain flung in his other hand uncoordinatedly.

Taken aback, Leo barely ducked out of the way as his blade guarded him from above, redirecting the blow. But his hilt caught the against the nunchucks chain, tearing the katana from his unexpecting grip. The sword, now pinned flat under Mikey's foot was hastily slid back towards Polly.

"There aren't any other options!" She cried, exasperated through a humourless laugh.

Mikey swung his nunchuck up, a misdirect as his heel came into strong contact with the side of Leo's knee, emitting a sickly crack and a pained cry from Leo. This seemed to get his head in the game, because as Mikey threw a swift punch, Leo easily bent back out of the way. As smooth as a water polished stone, the blue clad turtle dipped around Mikey and gripped him in a tough head lock. With only a small struggle Mikey was overpowered and pinned. Leo's forearm held down the back of his brothers neck as he attempted to collect both of the prone turtles arms behind his back.

Polly stood with her mouth agape, losing her mobility more every second. Your aghast stare fixed on Mikey quickly switched to a frantic Polly. You steadily and wordlessly began your way towards her.

Immediately, she caught your movements and her attention flew about the room until landing on the lone katana. As if she broke free from a full body cast, she threw herself forward, clumsily scratching and clawing at the floor around the hilt. Within a terrified couple of seconds it hastily got into her free trembling hand. In a great effort, in spite of her weakening arm, it managed to point squarely in your direction.

The crazed look in her tormented eyes hid behind thin wisps of hair falling out of her loosening bun. "Back off!" She barked, clutching Mikey's controller to her chest.

You rooted in place, hands defensively held close to your tightening stomach. With palms held directly towards her, your knees lowered your centre of gravity.

Nerves overwhelmed your body, fixing your now slightly blurring sight on the point of Leo's katana staring squarely at you.

Your throat was nothing but a desert, laboured wind tossing and carrying the dryness throughout your body. "Polly." You croaked. The fear closing on your gullet fought your words valiantly, making them nothing but a dry whisper.

She instinctively clutched Mikey's controller tighter, making him flop about uncoordinated.

"What's this... supposed to do for you?" Your voice scratched against the walls of your raw vocal chords, sounding like a dust cloud would if it could talk.

The tip of Leo's katana still poised in your direction threateningly as she finally snapped. "I'm supposed to kill this piece of shit!"

Tiberius weakly lifted his head in your direction like a kicked dog.

"I made a deal with the Shredder. He'd lend me an army if I provided the Ashmore's research and hired the scientists working on a project meant to help with paralysis patients." She glowered down her nose at Tiberius. "A project that Henry decided to start."

The curiosity and caution waltzed within your mind, each desperately trying to take the lead in the rapidly speeding dance. "But... this seems more trouble than it's worth." Your hesitance to ask floated about loosely, until Polly swiftly cut in half.

Her vicious stare thinned. "Don't tell me what this is worth!" The sword in her grip shook as she shrieked furiously, until she dropped Mikey's controller, giving Leo a chance to swiftly tie his brother up. Leaving the controller behind was just to have a free hand to claw at of Tiberius' hair, pulling his head back to expose his neck. She expertly swung the sword back down to rest against his bobbing Adam's apple "He deserves everything that's coming to him! He deserves to feel weak, and scared, and helpless!" Years of emotions started to well up within her eyes as she stared at the man at her mercy. This mere moment of vulnerability flickering across the woman sent a sickening jolt through your body.

Just as Leo was about to pass you and disarm Polly, you shot your arm out, stopping him in his tracks. "Wait." He looked at you confused until reading the horrified expression working it's way onto your face.

⚠️⚠️

"Polly. What did he do?"

The question felt loaded as it landed on her ears. She lifted her head at the firm concern within your voice, her face mixed and shifted between rage, terror, and undeniable sadness.

The tears brimmed over her waterline and trickled down her flushed cheeks, a show of vulnerability was followed by her physically unable to look you in the eye any longer. A shameful aura exploded from her as she started to sob uncontrollably, sinking to her knees behind Tiberius while muttering horrors.

"I can't—! I didn't want him to! I-I was young! I couldn't—" She sobbed, her words breaking like fish bones under the weight of an elephant.

"Polly..." The muscle in your chest clenched and twisted in her cold hands. There wasn't anything you could say or do, so you opted to test the waters and took a small step towards her.

Her eyes snapped to you and redirected the sword towards you ferociously, but it shook with each laboured gasp she took. She couldn't muster any kind of malicious expression, the pieces of her composure had already been strewn about on the floor. "Don't pity me Y/n." She spat through clenched teeth.

With the sword no longer at his throat, Tiberius spoke up hurriedly. "She's lying! Look at her, she's absolutely lost it—!"

Polly's tormented eyes landed back on Tiberius as she swung the sword back, hovering it just over his windpipe. "Shut up!"

"Wait!" You spoke before you could even think. Polly's eyes lifted back to you, dull behind a deep, unconvincing frown as her tears streamed down to her chin. You didn't quite understand why you stopped her, but your high strung brain demanded it. The only logical reason you could think of was really that you didn't want to be exposed to anything more that will make a lifelong impression on you. Confused at your own outburst you shared and look with Leo for the first time since this began.

His frown was set, but evidently conflicted. Finally he turned back to her. "Polly, if you try anything, I can stop—"

"I know you can stop me." The woman spoke through a miserable laugh, puffing a strand of hair. "But who will stop him?" The sword shook, just grazing Tiberius' throat, making him pull his head away as much as her could while in her grasp.

Leo was at a loss for words as he searched her face then Tiberius.

"I'm not the only one he's been raping, and I won't be the last." A disgusted glare cast back onto Tiberius as her hand clenched tighter on his hair, pulling his scalp. "You know this is something he has the power to do. He's slimy and has proven he'll do anything to keep what happened under wraps! He cancelled his entire biography launch, lost millions because of nothing but a whiff of paranoia!"

You frowned while eyeing Tiberius disgustedly, before turning the same look to her. "...You're the reason it didn't go out?"

"Of course I am!" She snapped, angrily cutting through the chaos running about the rest of the heated mansion. A very clear sweat collecting on her brow. "He heard I looked over the draft and he lost his mind. He cancelled the whole thing." Her eyes landed on his profile with a sick hatred flaring within her deeply bitter grin. "I bet he's scared of me now too." The venom in her words sunk deep into his bones, making his breath begin to quicken as the air in the room became thicker. She bared her teeth in a sneer and yelled in his ear. "He's pathetic! The only thing he cares about is himself." The cool steel eagerly pressed against the man's neck, drawing a bright crimson to match his bloodied face.

Leo took a tiny step forward, capturing her attention again. "But why would you involve yourself with the Shredder!?" The gears in Leo's head were grinding maliciously in his head as he firmly gestured all around him. "All of this!? Just to kill him?" His question was marred with emotions flying through him, hectically trying to make sense of this as he glared her down.

"YES!! What do you think will happen to him if I come forward?!" She searched you both wildly for a quiet pause. Her lips pulled into an enraged snarl. "He'll get a slap on the wrist and carry on! That's not a harsh enough punishment. Nothing they could do to him would ever be enough!" The steady stream of water from her reddened eyes increased drastically. Her usually calculating face was twisted into a mush of extreme emotions, accented by a stressed vein bulged up her neck. The heat of the room within this strenuous stand-off started to make your body sweat.

"I won't waste my time trying to convince a system of what he's put me through all these years if the most he'll get is SEVEN... MEASLY YEARS IN A CELEBRITY JAIL!" She violently swung the sword down across his thighs chopping through them to the bone like an apprentice butcher. Instantaneously drawing a tortured cry from him as blood draped down passively alongside an arched spurting from the wounds.

Tiberius couldn't look down with the death grip on his raw scalp. "AHHH!! YOU CRAZY BITCH!" He screamed furiously with an easily noticeable quiver in his voice, desperately trying to cradle his wounds with his helplessly blind hands. Clean tears flowed freely down his dirty and bloodied face, falling into new grooves of cuts and swells.

You jumped and subconsciously stepped closer to Leo, grabbing his stiff arm.

She had to yank the sword out of its place in his bone and returned the blade to his hyperventilating throat.

"This piece of shit has been abusing me for years and thought I was just going to take it." She growled, glaring his profile down as if committing every moment to memory. "You're the worst thing I've ever had the misfortune of meeting."

Finally, her eyes met yours and only yours. Her voice was becoming constricted the longer she tried to justify her actions. "I want him to feel tormented and violated. I want him to feel the way he's made me feel every day since I was seventeen." She was trembling, liquid hatred poured hot from her eyes.

"Please! That's not true! I swear! I-I haven't laid a hand on her!" Tiberius barked out, his blurry, watering eyes fled between you and Leo as his fingers tried to hold his thighs together.

This claim forced you to search your buzzing memory. The ball... she didn't hide her distain, at least not in front of you. She wanted to be as far away from him as she could, shyer away from his word. She was with him when you came to Henry's and had to leave the study. The look on her face that day, how didn't you see it before? The shame and fear swirling just below Tiberius' loud, barely held back rage who tried to hide her. You could have done something, even then without hindsight, something felt wrong.

How much more did you miss?

A deep cold stone dropped against the bottom of your churning stomach as the air in your lungs became poisonous, muggy.

A distinct disgust crawled up your spine and through your bones, rendering your body immobile. The thought that you were there, that you knew something was wrong but still shied away to the safety of Henry, it was corrosive in your heavy mind. How could you do that, you knew, deep down you knew something wasn't right and still you ignored it in the tunnel vision that was your mission to get information.

Was it worth it?

Upon your speechlessness her momentary fire died down once again. Her lungs filled up, balancing herself the best she could manage. Her eyes opened on yours. "Please... I have to do this. If I don't... I'll only be condemning more of us."

The word bit through your ribs with a sobering crunch, chewing up your heart with bones and guilt. The cold legs beneath you had numbed as the hammering in your ribs shook the structure that barely held you together. A deep rage pushed up on your heart from the pit of your stomach, forming into your own tears to shed. With your shocked, widened eyes you turned to Leo, horror written clearly across your face.

He stared down at you, on the verge of horrified tears himself. Gently he cupped your cheek in his palm, putting as much comfort as he could behind it. He spared Polly a glance for only a moment before meeting your eyes again.

With little to no warning, he quickly and carefully brought his hand behind your head, pulling you into his shoulder as if guarding your sight. He anchored you there with his lips resting stop your head, a few wet drops landing on your hair.

"P-Polly please! I didn't mean for this to happen! I swear I didn't know!! Y/n! Please I—! Henry! No!! I-I-I didn't—! PLEASE DON'T—!" Tiberius pleaded to the end and was met with no mercy as a thick, squelching sound overtook his frightened, choking cries. Soft spurts of liquid and suffocated gurgling was all that took the ghostly silence until a heavy thud followed seconds later.

Leo's grip only tightened on you though.

Just as you thought it was over, passionate cries ensued along with the sound of wet meat behind sliced and stabbed through, the katana jabbing its tip into the floor every few seconds at with no pace or rhythm.

The turtle flinched each time the katana met the body. Slowly, you wrapped your arms around his torso the best you could and gave a squeeze, despite the clear tremble in them.

This went on for an unnumbered amount of minutes, carving itself into your mind with every sound, every scent, and every tear that fell from Leo's eyes onto your head. Despite the rest, your remaining fear was only for Leo whose eyes remained on her the whole time.

Finally... Finally, she came to a heavy stop. The passion dying into a stale silence, her soft sniffle every once and a while was the only thing that took up the quiet space. Even though she stopped though, the sounds still played within your head on loop.

The protective hold Leo's held you in relaxed ever so slightly the longer the quiet extended.

"...Thank you." The stark sound of her scared, unstable voice against the horror show she'd painted as her backdrop was jarring. You didn't know what exactly to expect from her at this point, but a part of you thought she'd be somewhat glad. Of course, that's a naive and dehumanizing way of thinking. Who could be truly happy with this situation.

You pulled away slightly to peer up at Leo. The turtle's cheeks were stained with streams of deep green that cut through the dust and scuffs coating his face. His eyes were stern, but weak. "I'm taking my brother back."

Polly cleared her throat, as if she was trying to pretend she didn't just hack a man into pieces. "Y-Yeah, right, of course." She forced out between her exhausted, constricting sobs.

Something small slid towards you both along the laminated floor. Leo let go of you and limped towards it, scooping it up into his hands.

You couldn't will yourself to look in Polly's direction, or what was left of Tiberius. Your feet were rooted in place, and despite the near stifling heat in the room there was a permanent chill within your bones.

⚠️TRIGGERS OVER⚠️

What would Henry think? How will I tell him? How much more trauma can I put him through, knowing I did nothing to prevent his father's death? Encouraged it even.

The fatigued voice of Polly cut through the room in a way that jump started your heart. "Thank you." The words cracked ever so subtly with relief, buried deep below a landslide of sudden exhaustion."You... you should get out of here. This place will be going up in flames pretty soon." She croaked out. "The Shredder doesn't want this place to lead back to him."

Leo returned to your side like a soothing rain, keeping his eyes on Polly while only offering a nod in acknowledgment. He controlled his brother and sent him out the door, far out of Polly's reach. Once Mikey was safe he steadily grabbed your hands gently in his, winding around to your front, facing you. "Let's go Y/n." He softly spoke, handling your fragile calm delicately as he led you out like you were a toddler learning to walk. His soft blue eyes stayed on yours, only flicking his attention over you to Polly to make sure she wasn't going to try anything.

Passing the threshold of that room felt heavier, like gravity had it out for you. The stability of your knees nearly disappeared as a scorching heat flooded your lungs in a smoky dust.

Leo's arm wrapped around you, holding you together. "Y/n. I know that was messed up—" A choked sob escaped you as you covered your mouth, pins and needles pricked at your reeling brain. "Y/n, look at me!"

He cupped your head to his face him, horrified tears racing down your face. His eyes held no sympathy as he stayed firm. "I need you here, just hold it together until we get out. Okay?" He waited for an answer that didn't come, You could only shake your head and weep.

How could it be okay, I didn't help Polly and she worked with the foot, I didn't help Tiberius and he's been chopped to pieces, I didn't help Henry and now Leo and I are stuck in a burning mansion, I didn't just drop this whole turtle thing and now people I love are in danger! How can I possibly keep it together?! Why didn't I just stop—?!

"Y/N!" He yelled, gripping your shoulders tightly, scaring you back to him. "If you don't stay with me, we won't get out of this unscathed! You need to keep your head here or we're going to get hurt. Do you understand me?!"

You blinked rapidly as his words settled in. Being a nervous mess in a situation like this wasn't helping anyone. You grabbed the edges of your mind and folded it all up, hastily trying to shove it away and only live in the present. "Y-Yes. I understand." The voice you spoke with was weak, but comprehensive.

"Good." He let go of your shoulders and raced as fast as he could with your hand in his towards the nearest stairs leading down to scope out an escape, Mikey in tow mindlessly. Both of you peeked out a window to see how high up you both were only to see that way was up in flames already with no escape down. Leo scanned the floor below him, waving and distorted from the sheer heat rising through the building. He took one more tentative step down, only to meet a precarious crack. "Watch out!" On impulse, you shot your arms out to his shell and yanked him back, just as the grand stairs broke under him sending the floor boards down into a fiery pit.

He paled and glanced at you. "Thanks."

"Don't mention it." You both turned to run back up the stairs from where you came, but there stood Polly at the top, Leo's katana in hand and sheets of blood covering her body. Her eyes glowed down at you both with a ghostly pale face.

Leo instinctively grabbed ahold of his brother.

"This way." She said, running back down the hall. Leo looked to you and you shakily nodded.

Together you both ran after her, but Leo was dragging behind, a painful expression painted across his face, as he attempted to stiffen his leg to brace it. A strike of fear pierced your heat as you forced yourself to slow down. Despite the instinctual want to bolt you ducked under his arm, slinging it across your back to share his weight. "It's okay, we can get out of here." The tremble in your voice was noticeable, but you still manage to believe it. You did not want to think what you might crumble into if you didn't force your wavering mind into believing it.

Together the pair of you chased after Polly around and through rooms, up and down stairs when the path was too hot or blocked all the while huffing and gasping for some kind of fresh air as smoke continued to chase and cloud the air all around you. The panic in you was at an all time high as there was no end in sight, and Polly still held onto Leo's katana with a deadly grip. Hope nearly drained out of you completely until you summited the last set of stairs. There directly in front of you stood a god sent glimpse of the dusk sky of the outside world, sitting clearly and picturesque in the form of a giant, circular window that almost looked like an eye staring you down.

"This way." Polly said, unlocking the window and shoving it open. The bottom lurched open from its frame just enough for a body to slip down through.

The bloodied woman swung both her legs through and slipped down onto a sloped roof, big enough for at least five people to stand on without falling off. She turned back and scooped her free, bloody hand under the window, smearing it with red as she held it ajar.

You were about to follow, but Leo clamped a hand on your shoulder as he warily eyed Polly. She didn't look surprised, but was getting impatient. "I know, I know, but we don't have much time!"

You couldn't help but agree as you slipped from his grasp. "We don't really have a choice, Leo." With that you carefully thread yourself through, holding tightly onto the window pane as your foot grazed the roofing. "So uh... how do you know about this escape route?" You asked, trying to keep your mind off of just how nauseatingly high off the ground you were as you turned around slowly, offering Leo your hand.

Polly stared blankly as Leo handed you Mikey's hand to help drag him out. "I used this way as an escape when these turtles first came here, during the fall ball." She yanked opened the window a bit more so Mikey could scrape his way out a bit smoother. "I had to make sure the serum wasn't stolen by these guys, so while the foot's mutants took care of them." She gestured towards Leo. "I had the foot soldiers that stayed as guards for the serum take the canisters of it away." Mikey's limp body plopped out onto the roof, but was kept steady by you placing your shins in front of him with Leo's firm grip around his hand so the slope didn't slide him right off. Leo carefully followed after as Polly continued. "Jumping was just what I had to do to stay off of anyone's radar, I was lucky nobody saw me running back up here in the first place."

A cold sweat suddenly drenched your palms, making it even more difficult to keep yourself steady on the window pane. "...Jumping?"

"Uh... yeah..." Polly nervously peered over the side of the drop.

Leo, now with even footing stepped out next to you. "You mean to say we need to jump off?!" He questioned with a doubtful glare, making sure she heard just exactly what she was saying.

"Yeah, the best thing you can do is not think about it." She took in a nervous breath, shaking out her limbs. "Make sure to keep your legs straight." She added as she chucked the bloody katana far over the edge sat on the drop of the roof, sliding off soundlessly.

"What the fuck!?" Your hands grasped mercilessly on the window frame. "Oh god, oh god, what the hell, what the fuck, why, oh god." Your string of curses continued as you shakily looked over the edge just in time to see a large splash right below where Polly had kept seconds ago. A few moments passed and a feeling of dread for you and Leo had set in. So it was either jumping from a mansions roof into a pool or die from being burnt alive. Fantastic.

Finally, to your surprise, Polly broke the surface again with a big healthy gasp of air, followed by a cry of pain.

"Okay, just... don't think about it..." You muttered to yourself, attempting to calm your horrified nerves. "Jump, or be burnt alive. Jump, or be burnt alive." Like a broken record you hesitantly spoke the mantra and sat yourself down, scooting towards the edge. Leo sat next to you with Mikey pressed tightly next to him, laying straight as a board.

"I'll be right behind you." Leo said, nervously eyeing the deep pool beneath him.

"Okay... okay, yeah... I'll see you." You grabbed his hand tightly for a morsel of courage then slipped from him as you leaned forward. The scream that pulled from you was short and died in your throat the closer you got to the pool that rushed towards your straightened legs.

A harsh pressure pushed up against your legs, jamming them up into your hips as you plunged deep into the water.

A rush of bubbles was the last clear noise you heard until all your momentum was sapped. You simply floated there, and for a moment it was quiet, pleasantly quiet. You opened your eyes to the water, taking in the simplicity of the pools borders and the deep darkened floor. It was gentle on your racing mind. A part of you wished nothing more than to become aquatic, then you wouldn't have to go back to whatever shit show was playing up there. The numbness was a welcome feeling, even so, you weren't about to live through all this just to die in some rich kids pool.

You kicked your sore legs to achey life and swam back up to the surface. The closer you got, the more your lungs started to burn, so despite how much you weren't loving what was going on up here or the pain in your legs, the deep, greedy breath of crisp air rushing into the bottom of your lungs was unbeatable.

A few seconds later another, much larger splash came from the water a few feet in front of you.

Leo and Mikey had made it. A feeling of relief and almost disbelief wrapped it's warm tendrils around you in a comforting hug. You almost wanted to cry as you rapidly blinked the chlorine out of your eyes. It felt like tiny razors had imbedded themselves into your eyelids, but the sun that hung low in the horizon seemed to soften everything in a calm, orange and purple residue as it all came flooding back.

A sob coughed it's way out, and you almost fooled yourself into thinking it was yours. That was until you looked to the woman floating next to you, surrounded by blood that was not her own as it saturated the water in wispy rings.

She was smiling through manic sobs as she gazed upon the burning mansion, as if she was a playwright watching her Magnum Opus unfurl before her. Or possibly, more accurately, a free woman watching her chains crumble.

From the first ⚠️:

Polly hits Tiberius to the point where he's on the ground nearly passed out. But the foot soldiers are getting ansty with the threat of some kind of authorities coming in and ruining their getaway. So after waiting for Polly to finish with Tiberius they lose their patience when the hear sirens in the distance (the sirens are actually from Leo, Donnie, and Raph) most of the ninjas flee, but three stay back with the controlled mutant 'Scumbug' and threaten Polly to give them Mikey's controller. She refuses and a fight is about to ensue, but the turtles jump down from the roof to keep Mikey from getting hurt/being taken as a weapon for the Shredder. Donnie and Raph fight the the controlled scumbug and the ninja, fending them off and chasing them away.

You and Leo confront Polly, she fights Leo back with Mikey managing to fling one of his katana's out of his hand, sliding to a few feet before Polly's feet. She gets more and more sloppy and Mikey is easily overpowered by Leo. Now she's cornered with Leo's katana and a weak Tiberius on his side next to her. Instead of demanding Mikey's controller you ask why she's doing this and after a bit of holding herself together she explodes with emotion, speaking but it's hard to under what's she's saying.

Finally she collects herself enough to explains that she had made a deal with the Shredder which entailed giving him all the Ashmore's hired scientists who'd been experimenting and testing technology that was supposed to help people with paralysis. In return he'd give her his ninja army to her for whatever reason she chose.

⚠️⚠️
Y/n asks why she'd go through the trouble. Polly exclaims that he deserves everything that's coming his way, he needed to experience the type of terror and helplessness he's subjected to her.

It's then revealed that he's been abusing her ever since she started an internship with him when she was just seventeen. She wants to torment and kill him for not only her but for any girls that suffered the same as her by this man. She asks if it was right to stop her from killing if she would not only save herself, but any more girls that might have the misfortune to cross his path.

You and Leo couldn't honestly say no to this. You try to keep your eyes on the Tiberius, but you can't stomach it and tuck your head into Leo, who holds you tightly.

Polly takes his life with Leo's sword. After she's finished she willingly gives Leo Mikey's controller in thanks.

⚠️ Triggers over ⚠️

Y/n wonders how Henry is going to take the death of his father, and the fact that you and Leo stood by. Complicated emotions cloud Y/n's mind as she and Leo leave the mansion since Polly reveals that she and Shredder agreed on burning the mansion down once everything was done as to help cover his tracks.

Polly then helps Leo, Y/n, and mindless Mikey escape the mansion. She runs back up to the very top floor, saying this was the same way went when the mansion first collapsed (chapter 2) since she had to check if all the serum was safely transported out before the turtles showed up.

There is a large, circular window that opens to a roof slope high above the ground, big enough for at least 5 people to comfortably stand on. There is a large and deep pool just below and jumps down, legs straight.
You jump next, followed by Leo who is holding onto Mikey tightly.

You are all safe from the mansion that's now nearly fully enveloped in fire.

Polly watches it burn with a wide smile while uncontrollably sobbing.
