Mikey didn't waste a second before flinging his body through the window, his foot missing Leo's face by only a hair as the leader leapt back.

There was no time to get his bearings straight though, Mikey landed on his nimble feet and shot after Leo.

With no other option, Leo dropped Henry and darted towards Mikey, taking the obstacle of Henry's body in stride.

Mikey yanked his nunchucks from his belt, swinging them around, gaining moment.

Leo's firm grip landed on the hilt of his katana, confidence in every movement.

The little brother hopped lightly and spun his body, flinging his weapon out to get the most amount of force into his nunchuck as he could. However, just as he was about to bring this attack down on Leo's head, Leo rooted his feet in place, leaning his weight back as he sliced his katana's blade up in one solid stroke.

The sharp metal met against the nunchuck with powerful precision and grace. It sliced into the hard cylinder of wood halfway until the wood began to splinter apart and break against the sword from the force Mikey put into it.

The remanence of the nunchuck flew past Leo's face harmlessly.

"Y/n, get out of here!" Leo barked back at you, who was still hanging onto him, stunned.

Automatically, your body unclasped from Leo and fell to the ground with a thud, scrambling back towards Henry.

Mikey's eyes fixed onto you and emotionlessly faking Leo out before leaping against the opposite wall he jerked his body towards. He pushed towards you with such force, he cracked the drywall under his feet.

You let out a yelp as Mikey's remaining nunchuck swung down in front of you, barely missing your nose. Leo had grabbed Mikey's foot and flung him back around, once again putting himself between you and Michelangelo.

The orange clad turtle crashed against the window pane, mixing chips and chunks of the wall with the glass that already littered the floor. This didn't keep him down for long though as he jumped back to his feet.

You couldn't keep watching though. The longer you were here, the harder it would be for Leo to actually fight. You turned you frantic eyes on Henry who was trying to get up to his feet.

Quickly you got up and hauled him to his feet. He stared at you with only terror in his eyes. You did your best to resist matching his expression as you grasped desperately for a more level headed mind. "Let's go!" You cried, roughly yanking the towel out of his mouth to hang loosely around his neck.

He followed you without another thought as you both ran down the hall. The adrenaline pumping throughout the both of you was palpable while your legs tore down the hallway. There were no stairs to go down at the end, quickly complicating your escape plan.

You staggered, only for Henry to take the lead. "This way!" He commanded, racing around you then shoved through a door into a room to the right.

You followed absentmindedly, chasing after Henry, whose hands were still bound together.

The room looked like some type of lounge. It was huge and brought attention to its enormous marble fireplace on the left.

Henry ran through the room, fumbling with the pair of French doors leading to another room. "Fuck!" He cursed, trying to manoeuvre his bound, slippery hands around the knob. He turned towards you in a flurry, "Can you get this off of me?!" He demanded, sweat bearing on his wrinkled forehead.

The zip ties that held his hands together were turning his hands to a lifeless shade. Your eyes zipped around the room until they once more landed on the fire place and the tools that sat next to it.

You leapt over the lounge couch and darted to the tools, grabbing a poker with a hook and the little shovel that hung on the tool rack. They were hefty, cast iron.

You sprinted back to him, dropping the shovel to use both of your shaking hands as precisely as you could. Pressing the tip of the hook against the zip tie took too long for your liking, so once it finally stayed against the tie, all it took was a sharp yank for it to cut through and snap off.

Henry rubbed his raw wrists for a second. "Thanks." He muttered as he hurriedly swung the door open.

You scooped the shovel up and ran after him. "Henry!" You fell into stride next to him. He spared you a glance filling with terror. "Here." You handed the handle of the small shovel to his nervously accepting hands.

He let out a shaky breath at the sight of his new weapon, blinking away tears and pushing forward.

You both reached the end of the second room. However just as Henry opened the door at the end of this room a huge, grey mass fled past to the right, causing Henry to promptly slam the door closed.

"Fuck." You gave the room a once over. "We have to find another way out." You said, walking about anxiously.

Henry shook his head, knuckles turning lighter around his shovel. "We can't. It's this way or back the way we came." He looked back across the two rooms to the open door leading to the hall where Leo and Mikey were fighting. You both broke into nervous sweats and turned to the door in front of you again. "This door leads to another hallway, there are stairs at both ends."

You swallowed and placed a shaking hand on his shoulder. "We gotta be quick Henry." You met his eyes. "Can we make it there faster than a rhino?"

He stared at you with a worried frown. "A... A rhino?" Only being met with a shrug he scrunched his nose and squeezing his eyes closed while turning his head towards the door. "Fuck."

He ran a hand over his face, pinching between his eyes. A crash from behind you both followed by Leo yelling dealt you both a boost of courage. "I guess we'll have to be."

With that he swung the door open, beelining towards the stairs to the left with you hot on his heels. You tossed a glance over your shoulder only to see that same rhino you'd encountered the first time you met Leo. He was accompanied by another mutant, a monkey-like being with spikes all down its back.

They made no sound, but charged towards both you and Henry.

"Henry GO!!" You yelled, pushing your legs to go faster. The spiral staircase ahead sent a wave of desperation to crash down on you, the hallway started to crumple in all around you. The air whipped around you both in this mad sprint, giving a final push as Henry gripped the pole on the spiral staircase.

He didn't even go down a single step only to stop mid stride, causing you to crash against his back.

"Henry—!" The momentary fire of angered gone as soon as it warmed up, because there, running and jumping up the stairs, were at least seven ninjas. With their sights set on both you and Henry.

He spun around and shoved you up the stairs. "Go! GO!" He cried.

Not needing to be told again, you whipped around and bolted up the winding staircase, narrowly missing the rhino's aggressive charge that crashed against the stairs just below Henry.

"Y/n!" He yelled, slipping back as the cracked wooden stairs gave out underneath him.

The speed in your steps redirected themselves back towards Henry, the thumping in your heart matched your hard foot falls back to your friend. The sole of his shoe landed on the mutant rhino's face as he frantically tried to claw his way back onto the staircase.

With your free arm you reached down and around his body, heaving the upper part of him back up.

Just as he had a leg back on the stairs, a giant, grey hand wrapped itself around his other leg.

"Y/n! Y/n help!!" Henry yelled, holding onto a railing while smacking his shovel against the mutants hand.

Just as you were about to help, the spiney monkey mutant ran up the rhinos arm and leapt at you, knocking you onto your back. The only thing saving your face from the monkeys enormous canines was the fire poker's shaft lodged perpendicular in the monkeys mouth. It thrashed and tore into your sides. "AHH!!" You screamed out, pushing the mutant as far away as you could by hooking your hand under its jaw. It didn't seem to even care the angle it's neck was at, it's mind was completely vacant outside of getting to you.

You growled angrily and grabbed its chest fur, flipping you on top of it. But it's mouth was free as it reached for your face while you pinned it down by its shoulders that were only slightly smaller than yours. It reached its claw like hands up to your throat, trying to lodge its nails into your neck.

But their eyes were just like Mikey's. Out of his control. What were you supposed to do in this situation? This person didn't have a choice in what they were doing.

"Y/N!!!" Henry screamed.

You frowned, water starting to prick at your eyes. "Fuck." In a swift movement you stabbed the fire poker up through the monkeys mouth and into their brain. Their hands just reaching your neck, only to give you nothing but a little cut before their hand fell limp.

Henry.

You yanked the poker out of the monkey mutant and scrambled down towards him, steadying your body and stabbing down into the rhinos closest eye.

The rhino didn't scream in any pain at all, but he seemed more surprised than anything. He loosened his grip just enough for you and Henry to pull his leg out of the grip of whoever was controlling the mutant.

Henry stumbled up the first few steps until he got his footing again.

You pushed your shaking hands against the comm in your ear. "Donnie! Mikey is here, he's fighting Leo!"

"What?! Wait, Y/n where are you?!" Donatello questioned quickly.

"I don't know! I-I'm going up spiral stairs to the third, o-or fourth floor?! I'm with Henry right now, but we have ninjas riding our ass!"

Raph's breathless voice cut in. "Donnie get Y/n and Henry! I'll help Leo!"

"Okay, Y/n hold tight I'm on my way! Floyd watch the camr—" With that Donnie brought a shining light of hope for your own survival.

Raph cut in momentarily, the sound of metal grinding and clanging against each other fled into the comm. "Leo, I'll be there asap. I've just gotta finish up here on the ro—!" He cut off with an aggressive cracking sound followed by nothing but silence.

"...Raph?" No response. "...Raph?!" You cried into the quiet comm, exhaustion in your legs and fear in your heart began to weight you down.

Henry looked back at you for only a moment before he grappled your wrist in his strong hand, dragging you after him. "Come on!"

Getting to the next floor, Henry rushed towards a huge window on the opposite side of the open floor room. He tugged and struggled with the windows lock as you followed after him, eyes stuck on the stairs.

The heavy breathing between the two of you was almost drown out by the soft thumping of nimble feet up the stairs.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck—" Henry's sweat stained back trembled uncontrollably as his clumsy fingers attempted to competently maneuver the lock.

The uncertainty of your legs was getting worse as you stepped closer to Henry, just in case your weak legs happened to buckle.

And just like that, the ninja were upon you both, swinging themselves towards you and Henry off the middle beam holding the stairs.

"Henry!" You yelled, jumping closer to him.

"What?!" He screamed, whipping his attention towards you, only to catch sight of the ninja, peppered with a few mutants, running across the huge room towards you both. He stood straight up and faced them, petrified.

Your eyes flit between him and them and a chair sitting by a small coffee table.

You ran towards the chair and ran around it, kicking it towards Henry. "Break the window!" You demanded, smacking a ninja back with your fire poker.

The chair slid right into his hands, and instantaneously crashed the legs through the large window, throwing it completely out of the mansion in a fuzzied frenzy.

"What is going on out here?!" A croaky voice howled angrily as the old man himself, Tiberius, swung open a door to left of you.

He was greeted by a still image of Henry clearing a broken window of shards with a fireplace shovel, you fighting off ninja with a fire poker, and at least twenty ninjas with more flooding in.

The ninja seemed to lose interest in you and Henry instantaneously at the sight of the man. The few that had you in their grasp dropped you to the floor in favour of rushing towards Tiberius.

"Dad!" Henry yelled, bolting towards him with his shovel at the ready.

"Henry don't!" You yelled, pushing your body to clumsily run after him, barely able to get up completely and run properly.

Tiberius didn't waste any time in slamming the door shut, however, the first ninja to teach it threw their weight against the door. This prevented it from completely shutting.

More and more ninja added their strength, until a disfigured mutant —boasting an upright stag beetle head atop a mess of flesh and exoskeleton— walked up to the door Tiberius hid behind.

It crashed its body into the door which burst open violently to the man now lying on his back, covering his face with his forearms.

As Henry ran towards them, a few ninja turned to stop him. His weapon swung and smacked the side of one of their heads with a low 'thwung,' flooring the ninja like a bag of raw meat. He only got a few more swings in before he was easily subdued and unarmed.

They didn't give you the chance to do the same, as three tackled you back to the floor, stepping on your arm to pull the fire poker out of your white-knuckle grip. With a roughness you weren't actually expecting, they wrenched you to your feet and escorted you and Henry behind Tiberius. The older man was held by the mutant in a grip of its pincer that acted like a hand, dangerously calmed around the man's neck.

"Let go!" You thrashed your body around, anger rising in you as one of the ninja tried to grab the back of your neck. More ninja ran towards you and restrained your body, two of them now holding your arms back and gripping you neck, forcing you to look down at the feet of the ninja walking in front of you.

Donnie's voice came to life in your ear, low and quiet. "Hey, so uh... bad news, Y/n and Henry have been captured."

"What?! How—?" Leo's voice rang through a grunt, cutting off again.

"I have a visual on them, by the looks of it I missed the window by less than a minute." A pause echoed over the comms. "It doesn't look like they're in any immediate danger, I'll follow at a distance."

There was a sudden fizzle, cutting in at the end of Donnie's plan. "Hey guys it's totally okay! I'm okay! I just— hah, I just lost my talky thingy for a little." Raph spoke while panting, all signs of fighting on his side of the comms were gone. "These— phew, these little fuckers were relentless."

"Raph, I sent you my location, come meet me right now. Y/n got caught and I need your help, there are a lot of foot soldiers." Donnie instructed. "And make it snappy."

"... okay, I'm on my way. Leo are you okay?"

"Busy!" He grunted. "Do what you have to!"

Throughout this entire conversation you were quiet, led like a lamb to the slaughter. Tiberius on the other hand would not shut up. "You will not get away with this! I will send all the powers of this city on your asses!! You won't live to see next week if you don't let me go right now!!" His threats were serious, but didn't dare to fight the might of the claw set around his neck.

"Big talk for the position you're in." One of the ninja quipped from the right of you, causing a ripple of degrading laughter to course through the group.

The one who was holding your neck piped up. "Yeah, you're talking like you're gonna get out of this." Another course of laughter echoed the first.

Tiberius's voice died in his throat. "I... what?"

The heard walked down the flight of stairs that you'd just raced up. Coming upon the broken part of the staircase, the dead mutant laid motionless with a mix of fresh and coagulating blood pooling underneath it, dripping down the stairs. The spider-eyes monstrosity that held Tiberius kicked it out of the way with enough force to get it to roll down the spiral stairs below. It limply tumbled down against the wall, leaving a trail of blood after it as it rolled down another flight of steps with hollow thumps against the polished wood.

The mutant in possession of the millionaire tossed him over its shoulder and jumped the six foot gap to end up perfectly on the landing beneath.

A few ninja hopped down and waited at the bottom of the drop, arms outstretched. You frowned, confused until you were shoved down towards them, forcing you to pull in a deep, surprised gasp.

You were caught, but barely. The ninja only slowed your decedent as you fell against the floor with their hands trying to fight the seemingly unexpected force of your body.

"Nice catch you dumbasses." The one who pushed you complained.

They only mumbled insults in response, lifting you from the ground with your arms immediately captured in their grips.

Henry followed after in exact same way you went. "Ouch! Watch it!" He snapped, as his head hit a bit too hard for his liking.

"Shut up." One spat as they roughly pulled him up, careless about how hard they jerked his arms, but he fought back. This again earned him a punch across the back of his head.

"Can we just get rid of him? We don't need this deadweight, as long as we have one of them right?" The ninja that just punched him asked him with a tightness in their voice.

You could only imagine they were referring to keeping you as they tugged a furiously trembling Henry along at the back of the pack.

Attempting to peer over your shoulder to Henry earned a tightening grip on the back of your head as they twisted your head forward.

"I mean, I don't know. Did she say we couldn't?"

You spotted the room you and Henry had escaped from Mikey and Leo's fight through. A pluck of hope reverberated throughout your body, numbing the ends of your limbs at the sight of the doors were still ajar.

"I don't think so. The only clear rule was to get that old guy."

A plan began to form in your gradually focusing brain. Henry needed to get out of here for the safety of you both.

The group was almost upon the oak-lined door way, striding past unknowingly.

The courage was collecting and dispersing the closer you got. To muster up enough nerve was like trying to pin down a cloud.

Do it, you coward! Do it!

The dryness in your throat stretched its dusty residue down into your lungs, cracking through your vocal chords without mercy and robbing your speech.

Pain scraped throughout your throat as you tried to cough the frailness from your quivering body.

You have to.

"LEO!!"

You and your captors jumped at the sound, making you turn your head back to Henry who was screeching the turtles name.

"LEO, THEY'RE GONNA KILL ONE OF US—!" Despite them quickly gagging the man, Henry's voice cracked through the tense air like a bolt of lightning racing against the horizon.

Thunder boomed in the form of a frenzy throughout the foot soldiers, calm thrown away as none of them could keep still anymore. "Go!" One shouted at the ones holding us hostage.

You were stuck in the middle of the horde, thrown about in the panic as they dragged you all farther down the hall. Within the chaos you finally found your voice, coughing jaggedly.

"Don't worry Y/n, Donnie and I are gonna get you out of here."

The hold on you was tight as ever, but this newfound hope in the form of your captors panic flushed the stone out of your veins. In one swift movement, you ripped your arms out of their hold, running back towards Henry, double clicking your earpiece. "No! don't! They don't know about you." You said, lowly. "Leo, you've gotta grab Henry—!?"

A firm grip captured your left wrist, just before you could reach Henry who was fighting for his life, thrashing and grunting only to be held back by more ninja.

An unfamiliar, overwhelming anger and frustration infected your heart. Within a second of being grabbed again, you wound back and cracked your knuckles across the ninjas face. "Don't touch me!"

"Nice one, Y/n!" Donnie cheered quietly.

You bolted to your friend and body checked the captor on his right to the ground, freeing Henry's punching fist.

The man didn't hold back as he fought off any incoming ninja, as you wrestled the one you'd just knocked to the ground.

Amongst the chaos, a body suddenly broke through the wall and crashed into the one on the opposite side of the hallway.

You turned your attention just in time to see Leo run in after, eyes frantically searching the sea of ninja who all turned the eyes on him. A frisson of fear swelled throughout the group, swords drawn shakily pointed towards him.

This momentary distraction was exploited against you, the ninja beneath you grabbed your shoulders and kicked you over their body.

The sudden weightlessness came to an end in the form of the floor pushing your body weight back against you on impact, stealing your breath with a grunt. The ninja gracefully flipped themselves back, along with you, landing their crouched legs with one on your stomach and the other next you for balance. The weight of their palms against your shoulders was heavy and unmoving.

Despite this, you moved your attention back to Leo, who's eyes magnetically drew towards a bloody-knuckled Henry.

Giving Mikey no time to get up and try to attack him again, Leo sprinted towards Henry. The swords that sliced his way were easily knocked away with his own,

Once he was close enough, he leapt up against the wall and powerfully launched himself off of it. "Henry!" He called.

The man, who was watching the turtle in awe a few feet away from you, shot his hands up just in time for Leo's to connect against his arm, securely clamping down on him.

The turtle touched the ground for only a moment as he pulled Henry onto his back and wove the man's hands together in front of his neck.

Within this moment of Leo lifting off, you met his eyes contact with him as he leapt over you with Henry safe on his back.

His eyes were wide at the sight of yours, worry raking through him. Offering a determined, reassuring smile accompanied by the smallest of nods was all you could do in that moment as he fled overhead.

He pushed off the opposite wall, stepping atop a ninjas head to stay above the horde as he shot toward the hole he'd made in the wall, forcing the ninjas body back to the floor from the momentum shoved against their head.

And just like that, they were gone.

More hands wrapped around your arms and shoulders, lifting you only halfway until a fist crashed square in the centre of your stomach.

"Kff—!" The impact was strong, stealing the air out of your lungs as the pain spread rapidly, deeper into your body as dull throb. With your body curling in on itself you attempted to pull in at least a breath.

There wasn't much time spent waiting on you though as a hand grabbed your hair and wrenched your face into view, just for them to slam their first against your cheek in a passion filled right hook.

The pain fizzled across your face and quickly seeped far into your bone. Blood starting to pool under your skin where the fist collided left the beginnings of an ugly bruise. The metallic taste spilled into your mouth from your cheeks skin being broken against your teeth, spilling out of your mouth until your mind finally collected itself back together enough to spit the fresh blood out, landing the blood at the feet of the ninja.

"Fucking OW." You coughed out as you raised your eyes to see them rubbing their knuckles gently along the palm of their other palm.

"Stop fucking around." A stern voice spoke up. The ninjas attention all switched back towards the source. Mikey, commanded them, pushing himself from the wedge in the wall. The cheer you remembered him having in his voice was void as his eyes still were. "I need her alive, since you idiots lost Henry already." Mikey scolded, staring down the few huddled around you.

The ninja stayed silent as Mikey turned his attention to Tiberius, who was still slung over the larger mashed beetle mutant. "Besides..." He gripped the old man's arm and flung him to the ground, slamming against he floor so aggressively that something definitely cracked in the middle-aged man. "I have what I need."

The ninjas emotionless mask turned back and stared down at your bleeding face. There was an air of satisfaction around them. "Hmph.." They turned away from you as your body was collected fully back to its feet and hurried into the safety of the many bodies around.

With at that Mikey led the group, dragging the now crying man along by his arm.

Anyway, it just hit me how long I've been writing this book for, like,, almost three years, since January 19th, 2018. I'm an actual adult now. That's kinda wild. If this was the other book 'Dropped' I'd have like 40 something chapters up by now Lmaoo

But, I guess free time is hard to come by nowadays.

Anyway, I wish you all warm and safe holiday breaks filled with lots of love. <3
