"Hey! Leo!" You both looked towards the almost vacant street. Upon seeing nobody around, you both looked at each other confused.

"Did you hear that?" Leo asked, to which you nodded with a frown before giving the alley a once over.

"Of course she heard that! I practically yelled, nimrod."

Leo frowned and slipped out of your arm, landing his hand in yours while lead you forward. He crept towards a man hole that was lifting slightly with thinning eyes, grabbing the hilt of his katana with a solid grip.

That was until the lid lifted a little more, letting the orange light of the sky identify who it was.

"Raph?!" Leo exclaimed with a suddenly embarrassed expression, quickly slipping his hand from yours.

"Who else?" The brother laughed and slid the man hole cover off with ease, resting his elbow on the ground around it. "What? Embarrassed I caught you kissing up on Y/n?"

"Y-You saw that?!" Leo cried, taking a bewildered step back.

"Yeah, because unlike you I'm not fuckin' around up here while there is a mountain of foot soldiers after us." He countered his brother with an unamused look before looking to you with a small smirk. "And I believe I have a nervous blonde boy waiting for you down here." He said mischievously. He stared to descend back into the hole but paused for a moment. "Don't forget your close the hole when you come down." Raph reminded with a tiny cheeky smile at his flustered brother while he continued lowering down the ladder.

He had a certain air of smugness to him that was suffocating.

Peering over, you saw Leo burying his face into his hands. There were a lot of emotions to process right now.

You leaned forward to get a better look at him next to you. "Uhh... Leo?"

He faced away for a second, waving his other hand frantically. "Yeah, No I'm okay just— I need a second."

Understanding his need to cool down was simple enough. So with a gentle rub on the shell, you whispered. "We'll just be down there," You gestured with your head to the open manhole. "Come down when you're all good." And with that you pat his shell a couple times, slightly awkwardly, then went and sat down tossing your legs down the hole and onto the ladder. You glanced at Leo once more before beginning your climb down.

You didn't like it too much that Raph was waiting halfway on the ladder, directly beneath you. But you had a feeling, despite his poor attempts at flirting in the past, he would have the common courtesy to not stare at your ass on the way down.

Looking down at him from between your legs, you half expected to see his bright green eyes staring up at you. Luckily he was making it his mission to keep his eyes forward or down.

"Y/n!" A familiar, shaking voice squeaked out. You looked down over your shoulder and saw a very disoriented looking Floyd smiling up at you.

A nervous smile tried to twitch to life on your face. But upon seeing him after everything you couldn't help but feel an immense amount of guilt crash down on your mind, making you feel dizzy as you paused, clinging to the ladder for a second.

As you made it down, fully planting both feet on the ground, Floyd grappled onto your shoulders desperately and shook you. "Y/n! What the fuck is going on?!" His eyes were wild, his hair was extremely windblown and his eyes were slightly bloodshot.

"H-Hey Floyd! Uh," You looked over your shoulder to Raph who was leaning against the wall on the other side of the ladder. We was watching you both, disinterested and zoned out.

"Well— the mutant turtles exist—"

A fury flared in him. "Yeah! I figured that one out for myself! Remember when I was dragged out of my apartment by one?! Right after my girlfriend tried to kill you?!" He snarled gritting his teeth, while a few fluffed locks fell over his face. "You need to explain this! You need to explain everything! Before I lose my mind!!"

The light pouring down from the manhole was suddenly snuffed, replaced by the sound of metal grounded on cement and only a couple streams of light trickling down.

With a hesitant nod you complied. "You're right, I owe you that much." You placed your hands on his that we're clamped on your shoulders, attempting to pry him off, but he wasn't letting go til he was sure he got the truth.

"It started the night we went to the the Ashmore's for the ball. The cave in was caused by the turtles fighting other mutants and I was caught up in the fight."

Floyd's eyes twitched as his fingers dig into you. "Why were they fighting there?!"

You winced slightly and continued. "Th-There's this control goo that will take over a mutant body and the guys have been looking into it for a while before. Th-They suspected the Ashmore's has a hand in it."

Leo made it down, making you peer over at him. Upon seeing what state Floyd was in Leo frowned slightly and walked up next to you, staring at the blonde man.

"This is Leo, he's the one that got me out of there." You said, presenting him with your stiff hands like a hand model. It didn't look graceful though, since your elbows were sticking tightly to your sides in some type of defensive position.

Floyd's wild eyes burned their attention to the turtle's cool icy eyes. He looked back to you, then to Leo, then back to you, blinking rapidly and aggressively.

"Y-You, You, You—!" His words seemed to get lost and muddled on their way out, resulting with him only repeating 'you.'

Leo and you exchanged a concerned look before you placed your hands on his shoulders with a sobering grip. "Floyd!" You yelled getting his attention on you, trying to anchor him back to reality, despite it being pretty unreal. "Floyd! You're okay! Just slow down, and breathe."

He huffed and puffed, trying to gain control of his self. His eyes momentarily darted towards Leo.

"This is Leo." You said calmly. "He isn't going to hurt you, he's a good guy."

Floyd's eyes looked to Leo then over his shoulder. You followed his eyes to Raph who was standing behind us, picking at his bicep. "W-What about, him?" He forced out, his voice wavering dangerously.

Raph looked over with a look of disinterest.

You didn't want to lie, but also didn't want to freak Floyd out any more than he was already.

"Uhh..." you peered over at Leo momentarily before looking back to your poor friend. "He's on our side too, you don't need to worry about Raph. He won't hurt you."

The second eldest shrugged and tipped his hand back and forth.

Floyd gulped as his knees began to shake so bad you thought they'd give out. Despite his clear terror he tried to talk normally. "So, uh w-where's the —kff— t-the one that l-left me on the uh— the roof?"

You visibly grimaced, causing Floyd to widen his eyes that twitched between the two turtles.

Raph's head drooped as a deep frown creased his face. Leo's jaw tightened and he stood a little taller. You stared up at him with concern, subtly pressing the back of your hand on his forearm.

"He's not gonna be here. He was taken by Polly." Leo spoke softly yet it was clear and collected.

Raph growled slightly. "We're going to get him back. Donnie will be able to fix him!" He barked, his raging bonfire of emotions were barely being contained.

Floyd took a small step back. His own feelings for Polly began to break through his shock. "N-No! She's probably being black mailed into all of this! She wouldn't hurt anyone!" He exclaimed, tears brimming in his betrayed and confused eyes.

"Well she did!" Raph snapped. "She used our brother like a puppet, nobody forced her to do that!" He began to storm towards Floyd who shrunk away a few steps. Leo grabbed ahold of his brothers arm, stopping Raphael in his tracks, but that didn't stop his barrage of words.

"You're lucky you ended up with us! Because I can guarantee that if she got a hold of you, you'd have a lot more to cry about than just a broken heart." He began to snarl and jarred himself towards Floyd. "So SHUT IT!"

Floyd's legs finally buckled and he fell to the ground, completely silent. For terrible moment you thought he might have just dropped dead.

You ran towards Floyd, kneeling down next to him. However your frantic heart paced itself at the sight of his breathing. You sighed in relief and sat back on your legs. "He just fainted."

Raph huffed and lurched his arm away from his brother.

"It's alright Raph, Donnie is working on a cure, and you know Donnie and his success rate." Leo said, trying to get his brother to simmer down.

Raph turned around and gave Leo a confused look. "Yeah I know, why do you think I didn't clock the dude? I'm calm." He said, letting his hands drift away from his sides while closing his eyes.

Leo pinched the bridge of his nose, a long, low breath left his lungs. "Okay, well, let's head back." He lifted his head and his hands landed on his hips. "We've got to regroup. Does he have his phone on him?"

"Uh, let me check." You rummaged through Floyd's pockets like a dirty little thief. You pushed him onto his side and his phone was chillin' in his back left pocket. Trying your best not to touch your friends ass, you gingerly pinched the sides on the phone with your two index fingers and slid it out expertly. "Got it!" You said, standing up and strolling over to Leo.

He chuckled lightly and took the phone outstretched to him, giving it a once over before chucking it across the sewer with professional pitcher speed. It clacked against the opposing wall and shattered on impact.

"... oh..." you looked back to him who had his large hand out, waiting for yours. You stared at his fainting palm, a nervous sweat suddenly broke out in your palms. "Oh boy... okay... uh..." You fumbled with your phone, your hands losing dexterity the closer they got to Leo's.

The phone was hovering over his hand. You gave him one more look before sighing and plopping it into his hand.

He sent it across the river of death to the other side, shattering its pieces amongst the remains of the phone before it.

"I had a steal of a plan on that phone." Your lament fell on deaf ears.

Raph frowned looking at Floyd's passed out body. "...What're we gonna do with him?"

Leo rolled his eyes. "Raph, we aren't gonna leave him here."

Raph sneered at Floyd. "Well I'm not carrying him, why don't we trade—" the brother cut himself off at the sight of you already climbing on Leo's hunched back.

"Huh? Sorry, What?" You asked from atop Leo's shell, while Leo let the faintest smirk lift his eyes.

Raph sighed angrily and stared down his nose at Floyd. "Fine." He grabbed the blonde man and flung him over his strong shoulder.

The turtles raced through the foul smelling labyrinth of tunnels until finally finding the tunnel that ran past their home. A certain heaviness held itself tightly to all thoughts that ran through anyone's head as they raced silently.

They hopped effortlessly over the long abandoned pay gates of the subway. "Donnie!" Raph called sharply into the home, quickly stepping towards the lab door.

However, a voice you didn't recognize, or expect, spoke up casually from the couch in the centre of the room. "He's busy right now, he said he's in the middle of some important mutant business."

You slid off the back of Leo's shell, landing onto your legs which had long since fallen asleep, making you stumble back slightly.

Regaining balance with the help of Leo's arm around yours, you made secret eye contact with him, wordlessly asking if he had an idea of who this was and if you needed to be worried. His face seemed as neutral as ever until a soft, calming smile raised the tips of his mouth.

That was all you needed for the time being as he turned towards the couch.

You could only see the back of this persons head as they had their full attention now on Raph. That didn't stop you from noticing the flaming head of hair tied into a smart, low bun as if that would somehow hold back its brilliance.

Another, completely different voice coming from seemingly the same place chimed in. "Uh, heh, whatcha got there, Raph?"

Raph pauses for a second then looked at Floyd who was out cold, still draped over his shoulder with a growing sneer. "An annoyance." He grunts, his rolling his eyes and stalks towards the red head. She scrambles to one side while a black haired guy suddenly sits up, narrowly missing Floyd's limp body by tucking his long lanky legs into his now upright torso.

He stared down at Floyd for a few moments before lifting his gaze to Raphs now retreating form. "Gotta say, I did not peg you as the kidnapping type, buddy."

Raph simply ignored him as he aggressively barged into Donnies lab.

"This is just a one time thing." Leo said as he approached, readjusting his katanas from his hip to his back.

Both the raven haired guy and the red headed young woman turned their attention to the blue leader.

The woman hums at Leo before pointing at you with lowered eye lids. "Uh huh, then who is that?"

The guy blinked a few times, then began leaning in such a way he could see around Leo's approaching figure. As his dark eyes landed on you his nicked eyebrows shot up in obvious bewilderment. Suddenly his hand flung up to grip the back of the couch tightly, pulling himself up a bit higher. You didn't miss the chipped, black nail polish that adorned his fingers, nor the black and white bandana tied tightly around his wrist.

"Woah ho! Leo! Where'd you nab her from?!" He remarked with a wide, mischievous grin, despite the clear shock that was wheeling through his head.

"Casey!" The red headed woman hissed sharply and reached over Floyd in attempts to swat at him. She missed each time.

Leo glared at the him as he sidled up to the couch. "I didn't nab her from anywhere." He turned to you with another encouraging yet, strained, smile that felt as if it held a small layer of pride to it. It tugged your heartstrings forward, your body followed effortlessly.

"Y/n, meet April and Casey. They're family friends." He introduced, gesturing to the two respectively.

The woman, April, seemed to light up at the mention of your name. "Ohh...! You're Y/n!" She sounded strangely excited. A giddy simper left her as she leapt from the couch and rounded towards you with an outstretched hand. "We have heard so much about you! Literally non-stop!"

She encased your hand with hers, shaking it violently, like she wasn't truly paying attention to anything but the fact that you were standing right in front of her. Her blue eyes were swirling with mischief and questions.

"Erm, you have?" Your eyes trailed over to Leo who was pressing his lips into a tight line, making an effort not to look you in the eyes. His attention swept from the aggressive handshake towards the lab door.

His eyes remained on the door religiously, suddenly enraptured.

"Heh, are you kidding?" Casey interrupted, both hands on the back of the couch, helping him hop over the back of the couch to stand next to Leo. "Whenever he has the chance, Leo starts talking up a storm about this 'definitely real girlfriend' he has." He chuckled with air quotes.

Leo's eyes widened to discs brimming with panic, now whipped in Casey's direction, along with earning the dude a quick and hard jab to his ribs from Leo. The black haired boy huffed out, wrapping his arms around the suddenly attacked area.

"What the hell man! I never said that!" The turtle snapped defensively, while a reddish green colour rose up his neck. "Why are you such an asshole?!"

April chuckled, finally letting go of your hand. "Well, not exactly that."

"A-April-!" Leo squeaked horrified, realizing what the sounded like he quickly cleared his throat, as if trying to smudge away the embarrassment. He opened his mouth to say something but he stopped himself and abruptly looked down.

You couldn't let this continue, the poor guy has been embarrassed into silence. "Well..." You drawled out in a hopeful sounding note, giving Leo a gentle smile. making it quite clear to the new pair of faces.

Casey sucked in a breath as his attention zipped to Leo, stepping away from the turtle totally aghast. "Wait a second... You? And..?" Everyone's attention landed on you. The two humans were bewildered, looking for confirmation. Leo was very interested in what you were about to say next.

Now you had a taste of what Leo was going through just seconds ago, your throat had closed up and an almost uncontrollable urge to run away flooded you. Your eyes locked onto Leo's for only a brief moment until you couldn't physically do it anymore.

A surprise, timid smile slapped itself on your face as you looked to your feet, both itching to go.

"Ah! Oh! What?!" Casey yelled, slapping his palms atop his head so hard it looked as thought his legs buckled under the hit.

April was giving Leo a wide side eye, as she slowly turned her entire body his direction. Once she was facing him fully her questioning eyes rooted themselves on Leo as she not-so-subtly pointed at you.

He scratched his neck and poked at the ground with his toe. You weren't doing much better.

Casey sat on the large arm rest of the couch, with a hand over his chest as if catching breath from the revelation. "This is pretty— no— it's very surprising! She must be into some we—!"

April shot another pointed glare at the raven haired teen. "Casey!!" She spat, venom laced her words then quickly gave a sheepishly apologetic expression to you. "Don't mind him." Her tone dropped slightly as she hated at him. "He's an idiot."

Casey chuckled lightly before turning to the TV, only then did you realize they'd been watching coverage of the ninja attack that only took place a few minutes ago.

You subconsciously walked towards the television that displayed overhead footage of the attack, from the eyes of someone in a chopper.

"Speaking of idiots, what the hell did you guys do?!" Casey hollered, throwing his hand out towards the TV while looking back at Leo. "This has been all over the news for the last half hour!"

Leo stared sombrely at the pure chaos of ninja that was overtaking all of New York's attention. "We were ambushed."

"Yeah, and what's even more impressive is that you all got out of there unscathed without any solid proof you guys exist." Casey praised, placing both his hands behind his messy, black haired head.

Leo wasn't nearly as chipper about this whole thing. "No, we didn't." His voice was low and stifled begins his hand that rested on his lip.

Casey tossed a confused glance back. "Whaddya mean?"

Leo's strength faltered slightly as he looked down and away, brows wobbly creasing in pain and anger.

This alarmed April and Casey thoroughly.

You placed a hand on his squaring shoulders.

"They— They have Mikey." The hatred and frustration blended up with the pain and fear of losing a brother made for a bitter concoction.

"Wh-What? He—?... Why? How?!" April said, her voice suddenly very pitchy as she rounded the couch to stand in front of Leo.

To say she looked distressed was an understatement.

You peered at Leo, but the way his face was contorting between rage and helplessness made it clear he couldn't explain without breaking down in some way.

Taking the unneeded burden from him you'd spoke up. "He was injected with something that takes control of his motor functions completely. Kind of like a — erh..." You glanced at Leo apologetically. "A... puppet..."

"Wha—? By who?!" Casey yelled, no longer in a chilled mood.

"By somebody who slipped through our fingers like the disgusting slime she is!" Raph roared as he stormed back into the room, Donnie and Splinter in tow.

By the sounds of it Donnie didn't have good news.

"DAMMIT!!" Raph's fury was suffocating.

"Raph! It's fused to the cells! I can't separate them unless I want to find every infected cell in his brain cut them out individually!" Donnie explained, tears welling in his horrified eyes and streaking down his cheeks.

Raphael wheeled back in his brother. "Then you'll do it! If that what it takes then you can't refuse!!!"

"Just listen to me!" Donnie snapped, a sharp edge in his anguish. "If he undergoes the surgery, he'll die. And even if he doesn't there is no way his brain could handle that much trauma and be back to normal ever again! He may just end up the same as he was being controlled, if not worse!"

Raphael bristled. "Then what?! What are we gonna do?! Just leave him there??! With those... Monsters?!!"

"I DON'T KNOW!!!" Donnie cried in a moment of wrath to rival his brother, however, the desperate crack in his voice then dissolved him into a weeping mess. "I know I'm supposed to have the answers, but I— I just don't—"

Splinter's steady aura wrapped Donnie in a secure warmth as he the held his son close, lowering to the ground.

The four of you were staring at the pair fighting like deer in headlights. It felt like the more you knew about what was happening the more screwed you were.

April brought her hands to her face, as she dizzily leaned her body against the TV.

Finally Splinter spoke. Firmness and calm against this tidal wave of emotions, like he was steadying an entire restless ocean with nothing more then a wave of his hand.

"We must not lose ourselves, my family."

"How are we sopposed—?!" Raphael stared, but was quickly shut up by his father.

"Urusai!" He commanded, stopping Raphael in his tracks. The rat turned his hardened expression then to Donnie who was curled up against him, muttering to himself. "Now is not the time for us to fall apart any further." He lifted his head and scanned the room of frightened youth and adults. "The good news is that we still remain unknown to the public. However, I suspect with this attack, that will not last long—"

"Breaking news!" The television spoke up with a brunette news anchor, holding fresh papers in her hands. "Apparently ninja invading downtown New York was not the strangest thing that happened in this afternoons attack."

Everyone in the room was completely still, splinters ears lifted high upon his head. "This was just sent in by a bystander during the attack."

There was a video of Leo with you in his arms. It wasn't great quality, as the person recording was running away and being pushed and shoved by a terrified heard of New Yorkers. But within all the confusion there were a solid few seconds of Leo running down the street, soon joined by Raph, clear as day. The video paused on a clear moment of the two turtles talking to one another. The report continued.

"These large green beasts that share similarities to turtles, of all things, were seen fleeing the scene by many eye witnesses. Both with hostages that have yet to be identified." The woman looked vaguely frightened. "Witnesses and ninja who have been apprehended are currently being questioned by authorities, however there are no specifics on the nature of these beasts yet. This is Channel 8 news and we will keep you updated on this mysterious story, after the break."

Well... that's not good.. shit.

As a commercial for red and blue slushies came on, Splinter blinked many times, digesting the new information. Choosing his next words carefully.

"We must act quickly. There is no doubt that people will be looking for you both, and they will be asking many people." He set Donnie down then stood to his feet, towering over everyone. "We will get ahead of this."

His attention landed solely on you. "We must retrieve everyone who knows anything about us and bring them back here. We can't afford to let any more information about us get into the wrong hands" His gaze broke from you to Floyd, still passed out.

"Like, the Conspiracy Club." You muttered, making Casey give you a strange look.

Leo sighed then shot you a weathered smile. "I guess it's a good thing we know where they live." He then turned his attention to the group, speaking loud and clear. "Alright, everyone! Here's the plan."

~*~*~*~*~

Jamie's eyes were heavy and his voice and body ached, but it was all worth it. A tired look drooped his eyes while he happily listened to his favourite songs at a gentle volume, slowly tapping the wheel as he drove.

It was another tireless evening of an amateur actor. Rehearsing and practicing everything he could. It was a small role but, it was the first serious hire he'd gotten in a while, and lord knows his roommates would be pleased. They've been hounding him for weeks to get up to date on the bills and finally, this salvation of a role floated down from the heavens.

A relaxed smile graced his face as his tall home rolled into view. The white luxury car effortlessly pulled into the dingy parking spot in front of a garage door he had to manually open.

He wrapped his scarf around his neck one more time in hopes to fend off the undeniable chill in the late evening air. He breathed in the cozy temperature once more before stepping out of the suv and strolling towards the garage door.

He fished for the key to unlock the rusted turn handle in his pocket until a sudden thump atop the hood of his car made him groan and slowly turn around, expecting a few jerk kids. "Hey hey hey! What've I told you?! that's a rental!" He said shaking his fist at the figure on the good of his car, they were obscured in his sight from the blinding headlights of his still running car.

"You Jamie Immer?" A course voice spoke up, making the albino begin to freeze up. That was no meddling kid voice.

"Why? Who's askin'?" He attempted to sound more tough by speaking the way stereotypical tough guys he'd seen in movies did. He pulled it off pretty well, but the stranger didn't budge.

"You've gotta come with me."

The look of terror that flashed across his face and the way his eyes darted towards the house door must have given away just what he was thinking.

"Don't worry, I'm a friend of Y/n's." The voice said, in a slightly less intimidating way.

"Y—Y/n?" The guy who was squatting low on the hood then reached a hand out, the first thing Jamie could see as it reached into the light. A large, green, three fingered hand outstretched to him.

A strange sound outside of David's window nabbed his attention from his meticulously placed wing of an almost finished model plane. He frowned and lifted his magnifying goggles up on top of his head, gently placing his tweezers onto his messy crafting desk.

His rose from his seat and, as quietly as he could, crept up to the slightly ajar window. He lifted the slide window and poked his head out the window, staring down at the three story drop. Something wasn't right.

He leaned out a bit farther, grabbing the window pane and looked up the wall above him. There was a massive green mutant like the one he'd seen on tv hanging from a rope tied to the lip of the top of his apartment building, keeping the turtle suspended above him. The turtle looked down at him and smiled shyly, a noticeable gap in his teeth.

David couldn't help the surprised look crossing his face. He didn't expect to meet them so soon, especially right after the world learned about their existence.

"Uh... are you David? Y/n's friend?" The turtle asked, looking at David from the space between his legs.

David sighed plainly. "Are you here to take me somewhere?"

The turtle chuckled nervously.

Shane was loitering in the alleyway just off the main street his apartment was on. It was a fine night for a smoke, and a good break from the all the broadcasts on his radio, chattering about the ninja and 'ninja turtles.'

He tried forgetting about it, but quickly found that was a bit hard when this was a world that Y/n was a part of. Worry washed over his tall frame.

Shakily, he placed the cigarette butt to his lips and aggressively pulled in a distracting cloud of smoke, fuzzing his mind as he held it inside.

Movement from farther inside the alley quick nabbed any sense of calm he'd just received.

Eyes were trained sharply into the shadowy abyss as he let out the big drag into the crisp smoggy sky. A large amount of anxiety bubbled a little higher inside, but he managed to hide those feeling deep under his surface while he placed the cigarette back in his mouth.

"Are you planning on mugging me?" He asked with a certain aloofness on display for the possible attacker as he stuck his hands in his track jacket, warming up his fists in case he needed them.

The tip of the cigarette glowed a brighter yellow-red as he sucked in more smoke, Lighting up his stern eyes.

To his surprise an equally unbothered voice answered. "I do not mean any harm." A Japanese accented man replied calmly.

Shane huffed and grabbed the cig from his mouth, amused from the response while thick clouds tailed his chuckle. "Then what's a harmless guy like you lurking in alleyways, huh?" He questioned through a growing, genuine smirk as the rest of the smoke floated out of his lips.

"I am here for the safety of my family and friends, that includes L/n Y/n and those she cares about." His voice echoed in Shane's head as the pieces suddenly clicked.

Shane's eye brows shot up as he stood up straight, no longer leaning on his building. "Wait, is this real? This is happening right now?"

A large, composed figure of a rat humanoid dressed rather traditionally, tentatively stepped into a gentle light. "I'm afraid so, you must come with me."

Shane laughed and shook his head lightly, a thing he did when he was truly at a loss or words or undeniably jittery. "Well shit." He ground the tip of his cigarette against the buildings brick exterior the pocketing the rest of it. "Okay fuck it, let's go then, why not." He declared tossing his hands up and walking towards the rat.

Roy determinedly tied his blond tresses into a bun, in an effort to keep the back of his neck cool. He was going for a new high score dancing to his favourite song since he heard it in middle school, Katy Perry's California Gurls.

The wii remote flung about wildly as his vibe could not be scorned.

Leo almost didn't want to bother him as he stared down into the basement window. But, time wasn't on his side.

A hard few knocks later and Roy finally heard it over Katy's summer bop. His big blue eyes fled from the the dancing woman to find the source of the sound. Only to see a mutant turtle, nae, The mutant turtle dressed in a blue bandana just as Y/n had described.

The amount of bewilderment excitement and unfiltered unease that ran through him was enough to stun any man.

A sudden joyous grin blasted itself onto his face as he m ran out of the living room and up the stairs, grabbing a thin zip up on the way.

Only maybe a minute later, Roy comes spiriting around the side of the fenced in house, barreling towards Leonardo. The sun almost fully set made the suburban neighborhood even more picturesque, as it shone its reddish sheen against Roy's slightly greasy, tied up hair.

"You're— You're—!" Roy came to a stop about five feet away from the turtle. "You're Leo! Are you Leonardo?" He asked grinning wider than he had ever done before while staring at Leo, taking in every detail he could as if the turtle might sprint away any second.

Leo couldn't help but smile slightly. This was by far one of the warmest first encounters he's had with a human, ever.

"U-Uh, yeah, that's me." Leo said, extending a hand to the man. "Roy, right?"

Roy happily took Leo's hand in a strong hand shake. "Yeah! Roy, Roy O'Brien. Roy." He blinked multiple times as if trying to clear away the possibility of this being a figment of his imagination. "I-I-I honestly can't believe I'm actually meeting you." He said, smile getting even wider than before.

As they let go of the hand shake Roy placed a hand on his hip with the other against his head, looking down at the green guy. "Wow, This is... very surreal."

Leo chuckled, tilting his head slightly. "I can imagine."

"I've heard a lot about you but meeting you in person is a whole different story." Roy perked suddenly. "D-Don't worry! All good things though!"

Leo shrugged with a kind smile, enjoying this guys reaction. "Well, I'd hope so." He then waved off the conversation, getting to the point.

"Anyway, I know this is out of the blue and I hate to take you away from your dance,  but, You need to come with me." Leo's expression gradually got more and more serious. "We just need to keep you out of the wrong hands—"

"Okay!" Roy said excitedly.

"Oh! Uh... well okay then!" Leo shifted his swords to his waist. "Hop on then."

Roy stared at the shell he was supposed to climb onto and suddenly felt heavier than usual. "Uh— are you sure? I-I don't want you to hurt yourself."

"Yeah I'm sure. Come on, we don't have a lot of time." Leo urged. Roy sighed uncomfortably and walked over to the turtle.

"Sorry." He apologized as he hooked his arms and legs around Leo, heaving himself atop the turtles ninja.

Leo huffed, accidentally scaring Roy, making the blonde check in with him again. "A-Are you sure you can carry me? I can walk."

The turtle shook his head and stood up fully, sensing just how self conscious this man was and attempted to make him feel better. "Pff! Please, I carry all my brothers at once as a training exercise, I can handle one person." He said, shooting Roy and kind smile.

Roy stared at the turtle holding him. "You're even cooler than Y/n said you were." He said, making Leo feel a blush creeping up his neck at the mention of Y/n calling him cool.

"Heh, thanks. Hold on."

You were holding an extra T-phone you'd been given thanks to the resent death of your cell phone. It made sense now why they didn't just have normal phones with contact names, At least they could completely cut connection to the one they'd given you before. But it felt way worse to lug this thing around with you everywhere you went. With pockets too small to ever hope to hold it and having no bag to hold it was the cherry on top.

But that didn't matter, well, it shouldn't matter to you. There were much bigger fish to fry.

You stared up at the building Frankie lived in.

Now or never.

You pulled the hood a bit farther over your face then stepped into the warmth of the buildings entrance, doing your best not to let your face be seen by any cameras.

The two columns of buzzer greeted you silently as you stood before them.

Frankie's was the fifth on the right.

The buzz was sharp and soon met by a familiar voice speaking through the intercom. "Hello? Who's this?"

"Frankie! It's me, we gotta talk." You weren't sure if you should say your name into the com, after all you didn't know who'd hear—

"Oh! Y/n! Yeah! Sure come on up!" He eagerly buzzed you through.

Well, doesn't matter now I guess.

As you made it to his floor you saw him waiting at his apartment door, rolling from his heels to his toes. Once he caught sight of you he lit right up. "Hey Y/n!" He greeted with a wave.

You offered not much of a smile as you reached the top of the set of stairs. "Hi Frankie." It was still up in the air on how you expected yourself to tell him he needed to go to the sewers with you to avoid something potentially life threatening for everyone involved.

He stepped to the side of his doorway, making room for you to shuffle into his modest apartment. "So uh, this is a bit of a surprise." He commented as he closed the door behind you both.

"Yeah heh, I'm sorry for just dropping by like this." You said rounding around on him in the middle of the entrance.

"Erm, it's fine!" He said with a flusters smile before gesturing to his small table that nestled up against a wall. "A good surprise for sure! But uh, how do you know where I live?" He asked, sitting down carefully.

You plopped yourself down in the chair across from him, leaning over the table. A frantic look in your eyes was easily read by him. "Frankie, some crazy shit has happened today."

Frankie laughed cautiously. "Heh, yeah you're telling me, that ninja thing downtown was pretty—" He trailed off at the grimacing, nervous smile on your face. "... wait..." He looked over to his shoulder at the turned off television screen then to you. "Oh my god." He smacked his hands over his face. "That was you?!" He hissed in a smaller voice.

You shook your head. "N-No! I mean— I didn't mean— it was my roommates girlfriend? She's after Leo and his brothers... it just happened at... my apartment."

He groaned. "I knew that girl looked familiar, that was you! I can't believe I didn't— oh my god Y/n, is that why you're here?" His eyes swirled with worry.

The look on his face had your heart in a tight grip. "Frankie, it's because I told you guys about the turtles. You have information about them and there are people after them." Your blood was rushing through your ears with the sound like that of a low flying airplane engine. "I have to take you someplace safe. You aren't safe here because of me."

He sat back, mouth hanging slack as his glasses began to slide down his face.

"I'm sorry Frankie. If I knew any of this would happen I wouldn't have gotten you mixed up in this." You pulled lightly on your hoodies pull string anxiously as you looked off to his fridge off to the side behind him, biting back your emotions. "But you are and we need to go right away." The finality in your tone showed just how serious this was, and the way your solemn yet strong eyes met his made a shiver run through his shoulders.

With that you stood to your feet.

"I-I, right now?"

"It's be best, but make sure to get a warm coat. It's chilly out tonight." You said, as calmly as possible. The pull to run back to the sewers for safety was not a feeling you'd ever thought you would have, but here you are, fearing being above ground.

Frankie nodded, with a ghost of an expression, one of bone rattling confusion. He grabbed a big, navy blue puffer off a coat rack. You followed him towards the door.

"Are you ready? We'll have to be quick." You warned.

He nodded. "Uh, y-yeah! I'm good."

An apologetic smile tried to make him smile too. "Oh!" Your sudden outburst made him jump slightly, glasses going askew. "Before I forget. You should probably leave your phone here."

"R-Right, okay." He pulled his phone out of back pocket and set it on the shelf next to the door.

As he stood before the closed door a scared frown crossed his face as he stared at the doorknob.

You didn't blame him though. You wouldn't feel too safe on the streets now if you didn't have a ninja mater to defend you from the dangers that were lurking. Frankie got the short end of the stick in this draw when he had you assigned to him.

He looked back at you, to which you gave him an encouraging smile, the best you could muster in the situation.

The smile he gave you back was timid. He shakily reached for your hand and held your fingers tightly. You squeezed his hand gently as he took a steadying breath and walked out the door.

The pair of you feverishly sped down the flights of stairs together, you pulled the T-phone out of your hoodie pocket and sent a quick message to April. Sending her your location, you shoved it back into your pocket just for it to heavily bounce around uncontrollably in the hoodie.

As Frankie led you both out of the building he was now at a loss as to where he was supposed to go. You then looked around, spying a safe haven of an alley to the right and tugged him along behind you, trying to stay off the open streets.

You both stopped in front of a man hole.

Frankie gave you a grimacing frown with a look that said. 'Oh, come on.'

Letting go of his hand you went to work on lifting the heavy lid, quickly followed my Frankie, lifting by the holes.

After a few moments the lid slid open enough for you both to head down.

"Okay, Frankie, go ahead."

He sighed, staring down into the darkness before sitting on the side of the hole and tossing his feet inside. "If this is a prank I'm going to kill you."

With that he began his decent.

You gave the world a once over, seeing nobody watching you, you followed suit.

Getting low enough under the lid, you used your forearm and pulled the lid back over the hole after a few tries.

Frankie reaches the bottom and takes in the putrid surroundings. You could hear the movement of his sleeping bag like jacket zipping against itself every time he moved his arms.

"Are you okay Frankie?" You asked while climbing down.

"I- I'm alright for the most part. I think I stepped in shit though." He scraped his right shoe against the wall, gagging slightly and pressed his face against his jacket.

A deep, mechanical roar echoed through the sewers, making Frankie jump in fright. As you reached the bottom you could see far off headlights, illuminating the entire tunnel you and Frankie stood in.

The brunette worriedly looked at you then the headlights the you again. "Uh what is that?" He asked, swallowing dryly.

"Don't worry, it's just their car." You said gently.

This didn't seem to calm the dude at all though as it's revving got louder and closer, at speeds that it really shouldn't be going in such a closed off area.

They honked suddenly, making Frankie grab your hand again. His nerves must have been getting way too worked up.

"It's okay, they're good." You said, doing your best to keep him from running the opposite way. In fact, you clamped your other hand on his elbow firmly, keeping him in place just in case.

He shot you a worried look, to which you simply shook your head. "Frankie, it's okay. Nothing bad will happen. I'll be here the entire time."

He nodded, some liquid pooling in his eyes, as he blinked rapidly, trying to calm his shaking. His hand in yours tightened.

As the decked out turtle van slowed down it rolled up next to both you and Frankie, who was at this point almost hyperventilating.

The van came to a jerky stop, and few seconds passed before the side door slid open.

There were a lot of people stuffed in the van, they all looked slightly terrified. Leo stood front and centre.

A few seconds passed before a familiar white haired boy slumped against Leo's back, completely unconscious. Leo however, was staring at you and Frankie intently.

"April. Let Donnie drive! Please!" Raph called out, dizzily grabbing Jamie and setting him back to his feet. There was a course of agreement within the van, both human and mutants in complete agreement. Even Splinter looked a bit ill.

Frankie seemed to relax slightly at the sight of his friends cramped inside the van.

You smiled at Frankie and gestures towards the van, with a tilt of your head. "I have some people I'd like to introduce you to."

Leading the gradually reddening guy towards the group you smiled up at them. "Frankie." You squeezed his hand reassuringly, trying to soothe his trembling. "These are the people I've told you about. Raph, Donnie, and Leo." You gestured to each turtle in the van respectively.

Frankie lifted his free hand slowly as if he were in physical pain. "H-Hello."

You smiled at him worriedly then looked to the turtles who all greeted him in a similar fashion thanks to April's poor driving.

Leo's eyes couldn't help but flick to your fingers intertwined tightly with Frankie's.
