So uh Floyd's middle name is now Marno.

It wasn't even light out yet. But your body decided for whatever reason to wake up and not go back to sleep.

There must be a reason, why would I put myself through this to myself if there weren't???

However the negative thoughts floated away as the same smile, that you couldn't get rid of last night, gradually returned alongside the memories of that ninja boy.

You looked to the digital clock on your nightstand. It read 5:36 am in it's nightmarish red numbers that haunt your dreams.

Why am I awake? I'd prefer not to be..

But the thing was, you were actually looking forward to today. Sure nothing called for waking up at this cold unholy hour, but you were definitely in an oddly good mood after hanging with Leo, your new best pal who totally thought you were the best thing ever to happen in the world.

Obviously.

You just laid in your bed for a good amount of time until it clicked. It was Saturday, and to add to your lingering joy from yesterday there was a Conspiracy Club meeting later today.

The faint smile widened at the thought of seeing the nerds again.

Hopefully this meeting won't go as haywire as the last one and maybe David will actually talk to you a bit more now that you have a better relationship. That was mostly built on him totally saving your ass last time.

You figured you might as well catch the sun rise this morning since you rarely got a chance like this. So with an odd amount of gumption you flung the blankets off your body then rolled out of bed, grabbing a big hoodie that Floyd didn't want anymore. Thank god for that because it was crazy snuggly.

You pulled it over your head on your way out of your room, only to ram into the door frame while your head was trying to find the head hole, arms still sticking straight up above you.

"Ah! Shitter!" You cursed through a groan and flailed around a bit more aggressively, finally wiggling into the sweater properly then held your forehead. It was still trying to recover from that nasty bonk against Leo's shell so this definitely didn't help.

However your clumsiness didn't bother you much this time and you simply sighed then chuckled at your actions and physical stupidity. As you made you way to the kitchen there was a noticeable pep in your step.

You looked down at your feet curiously.

That's... odd..

The thought of your feet being happy left your mind passively as you opened the fridge, not looking for anything in particular.

Finally you closed the fridge empty handed and instead opted for a cup of tea. You grabbed a mug and filled it with water, promptly heating it up inside the microwave. You readied the tea leaves into the metal ball and waited for the water to be done.

Looking out at your dark little apartment, the only light source you were given was the yellowish orange streetlights pouring in through the two windows you had and the warm glow of the microwave. It was kinda spooky but you'd lived there long enough to know that everything looked just the way it does all the time.

With a sigh you turned around and stopped the microwave before it had the chance to obnoxiously beep and wake up Floyd along with the rest of the neighbourhood.

You plopped the tea ball in the hot water, got all your fixings in it and made your way to the fire escape, grabbing a blanket from the couch on the way by.

Carefully pulling the old window open was hard. But stepping on to the fire escape and keeping it from rattling the very Earth was damn near impossible.

For a person who is not a ninja turtle anyways.

You lifted your leg up and threaded it through, placing your foot down gently at a slight angle.

The accidental angle was a grave mistake.

Despite how slowly and carefully you moved, the whole structure shook like a middle schooler after their joke didn't land with a large group of their hormonal preteen peers.

The clanking was unbearable, sure it was always this loud during the day but at night it sounded like someone just dropped copious amounts of sheet metal on a pile of even more sheet metal.

You could only imagine how annoyed you were making your sleeping neighbours.

You winced and waited a good thirty seconds, looking all around, hoping nobody was going to throw a shifty looking package of opened dunkaroos like the last time you were irritating them.

After the whole structure settled down, you timidly brought your body through the window frame. The one leg holding you up started to shake, which didn't really surprise you, I mean of course it would when you were trying your gosh dang hardest to be as still as possible.

Once you had managed to get your other leg through during this balancing act you set both feet down, settling the structure under your feet.

Slowly, you finally sat down, wrapped up in the blanket and hoodie comfortably.

You sighed and took a sip from your hot mug, the liquid relaxing your spirit and shivering spine. The air was getting chillier and the days were getting shorter.

Winter must be hell for Leo. I guess that's what happens when you're cold hearted.

You took a moment before your conscious spoke up.

Did you mean cold blooded..?

You didn't answer the internal question and instead sipped your tea. You knew what you meant.

Waiting for the sun to peek out from between buildings was actually peaceful, it gave you time alone and let your thoughts wander.

Was Leo up at this hour? If he was would he be down in his home or up here, fighting some bad guys off for some unsuspecting person.

Or he could be watching this sunrise too.

A smile crawled up onto your face as you snuggled closer into your blanket. A warm feeling bloomed up inside you at the thought, alongside more questions of his whereabouts and what he could possibly be doing.

Maybe he was out with his brothers, maybe he was playing video games, maybe he was watching Crognard the Barbarian, maybe he was sleeping under an oversized lamp.

A chuckle left you at the latter image popping up in your mind.

Maybe he's thinking about me.

That thought took you by surprise and almost made you splutter your tea out mid swallow. That thought had you feeling a certain type of way.

A way that made you simultaneously warmed and gut wrenchingly nervous.

A shiver violently attacked your spine, causing your body to rack and shiver.

This made the majority of the fire escape to rattle and scrape against itself gently. Janet really needed to brush up on this buildings safety.

However the concern for your own safety promptly slipped from your mind easily as your train of thought instantly reverted back to Leo.

The way he got flustered was great, you know... before you got flustered too.

The way his eyes went all shifty and his mouth pulled into an uncomfortable grin.

He couldn't deny how much he liked me.

That voice popped up in your head again, seemingly taking a liking to voice the most embarrassing yet satisfying things you could think of.

Leo...

Leo smiling...

Leo obsessing over a TV show...

Leo putting his hand on my shoulder...

Your mind wandered all about, seeming to circle a dangerous thought that made your heart clench tightly. You weren't even one hundred percent sure what that might be, but you itched to figure out what it was despite the warning signs flashing all about your mind.

Would it be wrong to find out what was tormenting you in the back of your mind? Would you regret facing whatever truth it was?

...

Tentatively you loosened your tight chain on your psyche, letting it wander freely into the root of these thoughts. Giving it this freedom pushed you to be met with something you somewhat suspected, but altogether where not ready for.

He held you close, tightly even, his firm arms folded over each other on your lower back. His head resting on your shoulder while your let your hands travel from the top of his head, over his ninja tails, to the nape of his neck. Pulling away ever so slightly, just enough to meet his half lidded gaze that had settled on your mouth. You both slowly and tentatively moved towards each other, closer and closer. Until he smiled gently, taking in the moment and swiftly pulled your body flush against him, diving in to close the gap between your lips.

Your eyes snapped open with a short, quick intake of breath, rapidly pulling you back to the chilly morning.

It took a moment to rebalance your mind.

Breath shakily pushed from your lungs into a cool cloud and, like the ghost of his touch, floated away quicker than it came.

"Dammit." You muttered, putting your tea down and plopping your head into your hands.

Now that'd you seen this and it affected you the way it did, there was no denying it. You liked Leo, maybe a tad too much to be okay with being only friends.

Actually, you liked him a lot too much.

This wasn't good. The mere thought of running into him now made you feel weird. You'd had crushes before and they were always a pain in the ass. Always monitoring just how close you should stand next to him, or micromanaging every movement you made to look flattering, or making it your mission to always know exactly where his stare was yet have absolutely no control over how much you'd warm up when his eyes land on you.

Despite this being inevitable, the giddy butterflies wouldn't yield nor would the heat in your ears decrease.

A secret smile rose to your face, just you and your feelings waiting for the day to begin. You took in a content sigh; although you were fully aware this tranquility wouldn't, you let it settle inside for now, simply enjoying the fuzzy feeling.

The first rays of the day peeked up from the buildings scattered on the horizon.

You sat there for good amount of time, taking in the waking of the planet. The tea in your cup was nearly gone, leaving only the metal ball and a few bits of loose tea leaves floating in the inch of liquid.

"Y/n?" A voice spoke, making you visibly jump and look up, subconsciously hoping it to be the turtle. Seeing nobody on the railing you looked to the window to see Floyd rubbing his eyes sleepily.

Your heart beat began to regulate itself once more as you calmed down, letting the blanket around you droop a bit. "Oh hey, Floyd. What're you doing up?"

"My room was colder than usual so I came to check the window." He said through a yawn before blinking slowly, teetering back and forth. "What're you doing out here?" He asked leaning down on the window frame.

"Oh, I couldn't sleep." You said with a little smile peeking out from under your aloof demeanour.

He tilted his sleepy head. "Why's that?" The then thought for a moment before a sly grin spread across his face. "Ohhh..."

The look on his face was not one you liked. "What?" You asked slightly defensively.

"Would this sudden change in mood have anything to do with yesterday?" He asked teasingly, clearly enjoying this.

However you were not enjoying this whatsoever! Was he talking about Leo? If he was wouldn't he be a bit more frantic that Leo exists? Does he know something?!

Contrary to your mind, your exterior was calm and disinterested. "I don't know what you're talking about." You stated shortly.

"Is that so?" He questioned slowly, plopping his chin in his hands. "So it has nothing to do with spending your afternoon with Henry?"

Oh.

That made more sense.

After registering what he was insinuating you almost laughed. "Henry?" You questioned, amused. "You think I'm awake at this time because I have a crush on Henry?"

Floyd shrugged, his smirk not leaving.

Your amusement disintegrated at this. "I don't." You said with a forced coy smile.

"Okay.~" Floyd said easily, his expression not changing for even a second.

"Floyd stop it, he's just a friend." You said, trying to end his painfully inaccurate insisting.

"Alright, yeah fine," He said standing back up from his leaning position, his hands raised defensively. "But if he turns out to be not just a friend-"

"Floyd!" You cut him off.

"Okay, Okay. I get it." He backed down, smiling with a slight teasing aura.

A silence settled between you both, giving you the chance to take the last sip of your tea, letting the last bit of warmth wash over you.

You looked to the sleepy blonde and smiled, raising you cup towards him. "You want some? I'm sure I still have some hot water in the kettle."

He stared at the remanence of amber coloured relaxation, gently swirling about the bottom of the cup, seemingly deciding. Soon he shook his head gently with a dopey smile.

"No thanks." He sighed, head seeming to go to the clouds.

You both were feeling the same type of doe eyed bliss this morning.

Before you got a chance to say anything about it, Floyd stretched his arms out far in front of him, bowing his head through a long grunt.

"Well," He groaned, returning to his original position. "I'm going to back to bed. I have a busy day ahead of me." He looks down at the fire escape. "Also, be careful on that thing, Janet hasn't updated the safety of this building since she was in her thirties." He cautioned playfully, but it had a serious undertone like that of a protective mother.

"Yeah, Pangea didn't have very tight regulations on fire safety." You said with a small smirk, before chuckling to yourself. Floyd hummed with a slow shake of his head, suppressing a smile.

"You gotta be nicer to your elders." He said rubbing side of his tired smiling face, before retreating back into the apartment "Goodnight, Y/n."

"Goodnight, Floyd."

*•. *•. *•. *•. *•. *•.

"Good morning, Y/n!"

Jamie cheered jumping from his seat and hopped towards you like an excited dog. "Good morning, Jamie." You greeted with a smile as he gave you a friendly hug before leading you back to the table everyone else was just settling into.

Roy looked up from a little notebook he had and offered a friendly grin at the sight of you. "Hey, Y/n."

"Hi, Roy." You greeted back gently as you sat into a seat between Frankie and David. "Have you found something?" You asked, gesturing to him hunched over his furious writing, almost like he was running out of time.

He smiled timidly, almost nervously at his intense note taking. "I in fact did."

"He hasn't told us what it is yet." David said in his small, monotonous voice while watching as Shane tried to sneak a peak at Roy's notepad. That was until he got smacked with a ruler. "That was the fifth time that happened." David concluded with a sigh.

"Well it's gonna happen again if Shane doesn't back off." He said hunching over his scribblings even more while side eyeing the snooping guy next to him. "I haven't finished figuring out how to word this... so just talk about whatever until I'm done." He said dismissively, without lifting his head once.

Jamie grinned and placed his head in his palms, sitting across from Frankie. "Got anything more on our good old turtle friend?" He asked excitedly.

A sudden heat started to flood behind your face. "O-Oh! Yeah uh... Leo's really fine- er - I meant he's uh he's doing fine."

Yikes.

This flustered behaviour of yours seemed to catch everyone's attention quite violently as 100% of their attention was acutely tuned in on you. The room was at a deathly stand still, nothing moved.

After a few moments, the only movement in the entire room was Roy's head slowly lifting to lock his confused, intrigued and slightly bewildered expression, matching the rest of the group.

"Eh heh," You painfully cleared your throat. "Yeah, Uh I just updated him on a few things yesterday..." You concluded much more collected than before. But the damage was done.

Jamie's smile returned with a bit of confusion in his now thinned his eyes. "What happened?"

"Nothing!" You said, quickly and defensively.

The others looked amongst each other before Shane spoke up. "Do- Do you... like him?" He asked bewildered.

This was horrendous, they figured it out just a few hours after you did.

A small silence covered the room as you struggled to make a sound. Frankie's eyes were burning into you while you look around the table confused as to where this would go. "Erh.. no?"

Frankie let his head drop to the table in defeat as he groaned.

The rest of the table looked absolutely fucking blown away at this revelation. Jamie sat back in his seat with a large, unsure grin plastered on his face. "Well there you fucking have it. Y/n is the weirdest of us all." He said through a sputtered laugh, eyeing everyone else's reactions. "She loves Leo, an actual turtle."

Shane burst out in violent laughter and tipped back in his chair holding his stomach, while David and Roy just started at you then each other confused. Frankie's face was still squished against the wooden table.

"Is- this is a big deal?" Roy asked, looking at everyone in a confused and frightened way. In fact, you looked exactly the same.

"This is a huuuuge deal!" Jamie said flinging his hand in your direction with locked eyes on Roy. "She has a big fat crush on a turtle!"

Shane was still laughing.

"Okay you guys," You tried to speak up but you were cut off by another sad, defeated groan from Frankie.

"A turtle.." He groaned before only lifting his head up to look at Jamie across from him. "A FREAKinG TURTLE!!!" He cried in a squeaky voice. His hands curled into tight, agitated fists before he plopped his head back down and laid his hands at the base of his head.

"Oh my god! Can we stop talking about this please?!" You pleaded angrily, hiding your face in your hands.

"Not a chance!" Jamie said with a wide smirk and smacked his palms down on the table, standing up slightly.

"W-heh-What made you fall for him-?" Shane struggled out through his laughter. You whipped you ferocious gaze towards him, daring him to continue.

To which, he did. Completely unfazed. Groan.

"-h-his dashing good looks heh ha!" He began to cry, but he wasn't finished. "Or is it because he knows how to use a sword?!" After that he wheezed so hard he almost fell out of his chair.

A irritated fluster wove it's confusing needlework across your strained face.

A small, stifled chuckle from David did not go unnoticed making a feeling of helplessness settle in right next to your blaring embarrassment.

Roy seemed to be the only one who was confused as to why everyone was losing their shit. This made your humiliated eyes lift o focus on him for a last chance of defence against everyone.

He blinked rapidly then looked between his note under his arms and you before sighing. "Hey, come on, you guys should really stop." He said awkwardly.

Hell yeah, Roy for the win

You sent him a timid yet appreciative smile, only for it to get snatched away by Jamie. "But it's just so... bizzare, even for us... a bunch of dudes in a basement calling themselves a Conspiracy Club!" Jamie said through a laugh.

David and Shane were still laughing while Frankie was still having some kind of feelings about the whole situation.

Roy frowned slightly. "Yeah, So us as a collective should be a bit more open minded than most right?"

Jamie and David slowly stopped laughing. David's expression began to morph into one that looked deep in thought. Shane didn't seem affected that much as his grin still stayed.

"C'mon Roy, you can't deny that this is really weird, like more than anything we've come across yet." Shane defended with a small chuckle.

Roy's displeased look did not leave while she said. "No, I can't. It is really weird."

Oof thanks buddy.

"But it's not as cut and dry as Y/n has a crush on a turtle. We haven't met this guy, but even I know that he's not just a turtle." He turned his gaze to Jamie. "Just like Jamie isn't just a theatre kid." Jamie's mouth pressed into a thin line as he sunk back into his chair, face blazing.

Frankie stopped groaning about his sadness and looked over at what was going on very slowly, with wide eyes.

Roy continued his crusade. "Or that David isn't just an apathetic loner, or that I'm not just a guy likes food too much." He said with a hand to his chest. David looked down at his lap as an ashamed expression coated his features.

"Frankie isn't just a flaming heterosexual that same way that you aren't just a condescending asshole." His voice cut off with a cold tone. Shane's grin had disappeared and Frankie's eyes switched rapidly between them while he was still hiding beneath his arms.

"We should know better than anyone that there's always more to someone than the exterior." Roy finished off with a small shake of his head.

Your smile was growing wider and wider at this lovely man despite the stare down happening between him and Shane.

Shane's expression seemed to bounce between an unsure look and a deep glare. He finally sighed and rubbed the top of his buzzed hair. "Okay fine." He chuckled slightly, backing down. "Go off I guess."

Roy visibly relaxed at this and smiled. "I am a white knight as well." He laughed and bumped Shane in the ribs gently with his elbow.

This made Shane chuckle through his grin before he directed his attention to you to you with an awkward yet apologetic smile. "Sorry about that Y/n."

His apology was short, but it was easy to detect his sincerity so you waved it off. "Hey, no worries."

"Yeah, Y/n, I'm sorry. It wasn't cool of me to make fun of you so hard." Jamie said, scratching the back of his head. David quietly coursed a small 'sorry' as well.

"Hey, it's fine you guys, honestly. I wanted to bully myself out of it too." You forced a small laugh through the blatant lie, which did not help at all. It only made the three of them go quiet and awkwardly look away with forced laughter of their own.

Frankie finally lifted his head off the table, clearly embarrassed but not wanting this painful exchange to continue any longer. "Uh So..." You looked to him, making his eyes widen and dart everywhere except you. "So Roy, what- eh -what were you gonna show us?"

"Oh-! Right of course!" Roy eagerly fumbled with his notes then stood up out of his chair, like he was at a podium of some sort. "So over time, trying to figure out what exactly we were looking at inside this purple goop seemed almost impossible. I tried testing it to do all kinds of things, I tried to get it to grapple onto another type of particle like that of a strawberry, but the endeavour turned up fruitless." His excited eyes swept his small crowd.

You all got the joke, but it wasn't something to gawk at like he'd hoped. The only thing any of you could only was nothing more than an unsure chuckle in the sea of silence.

He cleared his throat and flipped one of his note papers over. "I'd attempted to force it off with more of Leo's mutant DNA, however the purple goo proved to be a shell of a lot stronger than anticipated-" He stopped and looked at you all, before sighing with a shake of his head. "You're all hopeless.."

Shane chuckled and sat back in his chair, looking up at the man next to him. "Come Roy, get to the good stuff!"

Roy frowned and looked to the rest of us. "Seeing as none of my puns are landing I guess that'd be best. I just wanted to lighten the mood for what's coming up."

This almost made your heart drop to your feet. "What do you mean?" You asked, a tad bit scared.

Roy shook his head then sat back down, passing his actual experiment notes to you. "The purple goo can control the nerves that hold DNA that's all mutated and stuff."

Everyone passed each other wary glances.

"B-But, it's hasn't done anything to the DNA sample you have!" You said worriedly.

"No it hasn't, because it stays dormant until the chip inside the purple goo is activated." He said grimly before sifting through his back back he brought along and pulled out a tablet. "I must have caught it in a test run or something, because it started going crazy for a good minute."

He pulled up a video of the goo. There sat the DNA taken from Leo's spoon, peacefully floating around with a little purple hat, until it began to jerk around violently and unnaturally.

You frowned at the video then looked back to Roy, for him to further explain. "I can only guess that it's remote controlled. And which ever mutant has this goo in their cerebral cortex will have no control of their body."

... oh fuck.

"Shit. Okay do you know how strong this signal is?" You asked hurriedly, trying not to freak out. Roy shook his head. "Well, for it to get to my basement suite from who knows where, I'd say it's extremely strong. Who ever engineered this must be a genius."

An odd feeling settled over you and the rest.

Hehehehehhehehdkapahekfpvpjdbdjyfk.

You quickly began packing up your shit. "I gotta tell Leo. Hey can you send that video to me?"

Roy's face contorted in an unsure way. "Ehhh, I don't want this video anywhere but in this local drive. Just.. take the tablet dude."

"Right, you're right. Thanks Roy." You nabbed the tablet and locked it, before bolting away. "I had fun guys, see you next session!" You shouted over your shoulder.

"Wait! Y/n!" Roy yelled before running after you. You stopped midway on the stairs and looked back. "The password is CCTablet!" He said, rather quickly.

This made you look down at it being held close to your side, then to him. "Conspiracy Club Tablet?"

He laughed nervously and scratched his cheek. "Uh, heh yeah, I got excited about all this top secret stuff so I bought and jail broke a tablet."

You forced out a slight laugh at his enthusiasm. "Okay, CCTablet, got it." And with that you bolted up the stairs.

You were followed by the words: "The C's are capitalized!"

Roy shouted up after you then looked to the rest of the guys.

"Well... what do we do now?" Jamie asked voicing pretty much everyone's thoughts. They all looked about each other awkwardly.

"Well, I brought Uno." Frankie said with a nervous smile, pulling it out of his bag which met an overwhelming amount of positive feedback.

•••

Bursting out of the building you stumbled into a bright, sunny morning. You attempted to get your bearings before quickly pushing you shaking legs to walk down the old street as casually as possible. The park settled on the other side of the street was bustling with people throwing their frisbee's around, playing games of football and some just walking around the park, holding hands and laughing.

In fact, before slipping into an alley you could've sworn you saw Floyd's messy blond hair. You took a moment then peeked outside the alley one more time, if he was there you didn't want him to see you.

Your eyes viciously scoured the park, in search of his face, hair or distinctively tall frame. Not three seconds later you spotted him, looking kind of confused as to where he was or something.

Crap, he might be looking for me.

You retreated back to the alley. You'd have to ask what he did today when you got home. After all it's not like you could say you saw him and just didn't say hello.

I'll talk to him later

Turning to look at the manhole you internally sighed. "Okay let's do this thing."

This beginnings your attempts at lifting the manhole cover.

Leo made it look so easy.

Finally you resorted to using a lead pipe you'd found lying next to a dumpster and successfully pried it open enough to slide through, while also taking a long ass time to close the lid behind you.

However that episode of hard-to-watch was over and you climbed down the ladder easily. Upon reaching the bottom you whipped out that big ass turtle phone and dialled up Leo.

As it rung you paced back and forth worriedly, in fact you were so worried you didn't even pay any attention to the gut wrenching smell of shit all over the place.

The echoes of the ringing phone bounced all about the underground sewer system eerily, barely louder than the sound of sludge moving past.

Finally the phone line picked up with a click on the other end. "Hello? Leo?" You you said hurriedly. However the voice on the other end was much more gruff than you were expecting.

"Sorry toots. Tall, blue and lame can't come to the phone right now, but I'll happily take a message for him." Leo's jerk off of a brother Raph said, the grin on his face was audible through the line.

There sounded to be a struggle going on in the background.

You frowned. "Raphael, right? I don't really have time for this, can you let me speak with Leo please?" The time you used on him was brisk and to the point.

The turtle laughed. "He's just a little preoccupied at the moment." There was another moment you could clearly hear some type of rough-housing in the background. "So why don't you just take advantage of the fact that we can finally have that long awaited conversation."

"What are you talking about?" You questioned with confused eyes, a deeper frown settling in.

"Aw shucks Y/n. I do love the way your voice sounds when it's full of accusation." He hummed with a mocking chuckle.

You started to pace slightly. "Dude, this is important! I really need to ta-"

A younger voice cut you off loudly in the distance of the other side of the phone happily. He sounded like he was struggling with something. "Ask her about where she got those noodles!" His cheery voice was forced into a cry in pain. He most likely got punched or something.

It was evident that Leo was being held back against his will.

"Oh right, thanks Mikey. Yeah so where'd you get those noodles you gave to Leo?" He asked, seemingly unfazed by your  frantic voice.

Your patience was rapidly wearing thin and your hand began to squeeze tighter on the turtle phone. "Mr. Ping's Noodle Shop. Put Leo on now." You growled with a new level of frantic and piquing exasperation.

Raph's voice rumbled in amusement. "Why? You gonna ask him on a date or something?" He then let out an obnoxious laugh again.

His teasing had barely lasted a minute but you were flat out done with it already. "Yeah Raphael. I'm in the fucking sewers at the moment because I need to ask Leo on a date. You absolute ninny! This is important!" You snapped viciously.

Raph was about to talk back but you promptly cut him off, while you typed along your brick phone. "I'm sending my location before I get eaten by a shit monster, so you better hurry up."

Raph didn't say anything for a while which made you wonder if he'd just left, letting you talk to yourself with all your feelings. "Hello?" You questioned into the phone, before pulling it away from your face and looking at the tiny screen that was dwarfed my the enormous keypad.

Pressing your ear to the phone once again you could hear the faint sound of rushing around and Leo's voice calling out, seemingly getting further and further away. "I'll be right there Y/n!"

A warm feeling rose steadily beneath all your panic and a smile pulled across your calming face.

That was until Raphs voice returned just as loudly as before, sending a voice of devastating volume straight down your ear canal. "Okay so I guess Leo is on his way."

You shot the phone away from your pained ear, blinking disorientation away rapidly.

A frown crossed you face as you looked to the phone again that kept spilling Raphael's voice. "So I guess it's just you and m-"

You promptly ended the call.
