Sitting at the news boys lodge was Katherine and Jack. Katherine was trying for very hard to get Jack to speak to her, but jack wasn't really focusing. Kathrine could see that he was off, he was just staring at the wall, and sometimes he would change where his eyes were fixed. He was very distant today, Kathrine was determined to find out why.

"Jack, so how many papers did you sell today?" He zones off and stared staring at the wall. "Any good headline?" Kathrine continued. The brown haired boy continued to be distant like he had been the past few weeks.
Finally to snap him out of his day dreaming Kathrine locked lips with Jack. Still jack did not break from his consciousness. That was the last straw for Kathrine finally she slammed her hand on the table and raised her voice.

"JACK KELLY! What the hell is wrong with you! You haven't answered me or even looked at me when I kissed you!" Finally jack turned his face and witnessed a Kathrine he did not want to see. Jack scratched his head.

        "Oh I'm sorry Kath... uhh I just have some stuff going on." He avoided eye contact with his girl friend. He did not want her to know.

        "Jack Kelly please tell me every thing is fine." Jack couldn't even look at his girlfriend right now. Instead he just nodded in reply.
"Ok, well I should go make sure the boys aint fightin' see ya later kath." With that jack stood up and awkwardly went to another area of the lodge. Kathrine could easily tell he was lying to her, but she didn't know about what he was lying about. Something was up with jack and the child knew it.

Kathrine was walking out of the newsboy lodge furious, and confused. Why would jack not even look at her? On her way to the door Race approached her. "Jack he ill get bette' soon." Kathrine nodded. "I hope so" the young girl mumbled under her breath.

Finally after a long walk Kathrine arrived at the Pulitzer mansion. She walked in and was greeted by a few servants until she got tackled by her 15 year old sister.
"Selena! Why would you tackle me" The girls face got bright red, and Selena ended up being chased through out all of the rooms in the mansion. "You will pay!" Kathrine shouted to her younger sibling. Selena just stuck her younger out in reply.
