Chapter One

Being a wizard, (M/N) has been living life as a medicine maker, curing and cleansing any and all ailments in his picturesque village named Neuheim. So, (M/N) was constantly and ceaselessly in need of medicinal herbs, burdening him with the tedious and tiresome task of parading into the Idora Forest late at nights. Kneeling down, (M/N) had began plucking and picking roots out of the ground, shivering and shaking from the nipping night air. "I should have brought a jacket," (M/N) muttered, while hearing a strangely sweet song playing in the distance, as he began tracking and trailing the tune in search of its wondrous whereabouts. "For months, I've been hearing this strange song. Where is it coming from, though?"

Clutching tightly the basket of medicinal herbs, (M/N) had began twirling and twisting around in circles, searching and scouring for the tune tormenting and haunting him. Finding the direction, (M/N) had began scurrying and sprinting towards the originating location, not thinking or taking into account any risks which might plague him later on. In due time, (M/N) had halted and gaped up at the looming castle before him, drenched and doused in the shadow of the castle's magnificent size. "It must be coming from in here, but why would anyone live in the Idora Forest of all places?" (M/N) murmured, while walking up the grand staircase leading to the front doors, as the sickly sweet tune turned louder and louder with each and every step. "Hello? Is anyone here?"

Stepping inside of the castle, (M/N) had began wandering through the desolate and dark hallways, searching and seeking signs of human habitation. Finding none, (M/N) had began twisting and turning around, not wanting to intrude and invade more than he had already. However, (M/N) had been picked and plucked off of the ground soon, thrown then over someone's shoulder and carried downstairs. "Please, I didn't mean to trespass!" (M/N) cried out, while thrashing and thudding his fists against the stranger's back, as the man chuckled and tossed him onto the stone flooring of a dungeon cell. "Ouch! That hurt ... Let me out of here!"

Shrouded in darkness, (M/N) had began backing away and curling up against the icy walls of the dungeon cell, whimpering and wincing in pain from being thrown and tossed so carelessly onto the stone floors. Fortunately, (M/N) had been drenched and drowned in the candlelight soon, unveiling and revealing the face of his imprisoner. "I'm Jack, a humble servant of your true captors. You'll be meeting them soon enough," the mysterious man said, while running a hand through his auburn locks, as the dungeon doors opened and footsteps echoed. "Be careful, cutie! They're not merciful."
