Walk on a very wide platform very high off the ground?

OR...

Walk on a very thin pole only a little bit off the ground?

Hmm... if you walk on the very wide platform you won't have a very great chance of falling. But if you do, it'll be a lot worse.

I'll take the thin pole. I'm not necessarily afraid of heights but I think I have vertigo, because all I can picture when I stand on something high is me flinging myself off the side. I even have nightmares about jumping off high surfaces ;-;
