Chapter 10: "Jungkook: Dream"
"They were all wearing black suits as well as Namjoon, who was also wearing glasses, which made him look smart. (...) but as soon as he saw his best friends, he waved at them, half smiling and making his cute dimple appear in his right cheek."

Jungkook moved underneath the sheets on his king-size bed. He was uncomfortable, something wasn't right. He was in pain, it was a weird kind of pain, but it wasn't letting him continue sleeping. He rolled over until his stomach was laying flat on the mattress but the pain didn't ease, on the contrary, it became worse. Annoyed, he opened his eyes, knowing he wouldn't be able to sleep again. It wasn't the first time, but it had certainly been too long since the last one. He ran his hands through his body until he reached it and groaned. He didn't want to look but he had to.
Fuck.
He was hard. And not just a little bit hard, he had a full erection nagging at the fabric of his black boxers. He dropped his full weight on the bed again, falling on his back while closing his eyes and spreading his arms on his sides. He could remember his dream clearly and vividly, but what bothered him was not just the dream but the fact that a certain someone had been in it. What was wrong with him? He couldn't even remember the last time he had wet dreams and couldn't understand why that certain someone was triggering one now, after so long. What was he? A hormonal teenager? It was the second time in two days that he became hard because of the same person, not to mention the fact that it was a he.
Scoffing and sighing, Jungkook got up from his bed and went into his bathroom to take care of his "problem". Once inside he knew he was not in the mood to touch himself, so he just turned the cold water on and prayed it would make his erection go away. While showering he felt a sense of deja vu, remembering how just last night he had been too tired to take care of his hard-on and had fallen asleep instead. When was the last time he had jerked off? He couldn't remember.
Sighing, he finished washing his hair and went out of the bathtub. Once outside, he dried himself, dressed up and made his way to his kitchen while still drying his long black hair with the towel, which made him not notice the presence inhabiting his kitchen.
"Good morning Kook-ah"
Jungkook jumped at the sound of his hyung's voice, he swore he hadn't seen anyone in the kitchen. "Hyung! You scared me!"
"It's Sunday." His hyung said matter-of-factly, as if those two words would make the fact that he had come unnoticed into Jungkook's house the most reasonable thing in the world.
"Yes. And tomorrow's Monday and yesterday was Saturday. So what?" For some unknown reason Jungkook was pissed. Well, it could have a little bit to do with the fact that he had just woken up hard because of some wet dream about him, but just a little.
"Oh no... Don't tell me you forgot... Please don't." His hyung was squinting at him, but Jungkook couldn't remember what he had forgotten.
"Forget what?"
"Yah! This kid! You forgot! It's Namjoon-ah's book release!"
"Oh, shit!" Jungkook facepalmed. "I totally forgot! What time is it?"
"Don't worry, you still have time to have breakfast. C'mon, sit down, I made you pancakes."
"Ah, thanks hyung." Jungkook sat at the table and immediately stuffed his cheeks with his hyung's delicious pancakes. "How did you get in, anyway?"
"The key, on the plant outside your door? Obviously?" The older one said while sitting down in front of his little brother.
"Jin-hyung! That is for emergencies only!" Jungkook said with his mouth full.
"It was an emergency! You wouldn't open your door because you sleep like a rock."
Jungkook rolled his eyes. "Why didn't you wake me up, though?"
"I tried..." Jin didn't look at Jungkook when he said the last words. He was playing with his chopsticks, not hungry due to the fact that he had had breakfast before coming here. "Who's Jimin-hyung?" Jin raised his head to look at the younger now, his eyebrows forming an arch.
"Eh?" Jungkook choked, literally choked with a piece of pancake and spent the next minute coughing to get it out of his larynx.
"You okay?" Jin said, patting Jungkook's back to help him breathe.
Jungkook nodded.
"So, who is he?"
"H-how do you?... I-I mean, w-why do you ask?"
"Well, when I went into your room this morning to wake you up I tried everything but you wouldn't open your demned eyes so I pinched your nipples and instead of waking up you said: "Ah... Jimin-hyung" so I figured I'd ask." Jin ended, shrugging.
Jungkook's mouth fell agape at the sound of his hyung imitating a moan he had made while dreaming. To say he was taken aback was putting it lightly. Jungkook was in shock, his brain cells felt numb and he couldn't move a single muscle.
"Jungkook? You okay? Have you gone somewhere? Come back!" Jin was now waving a hand in front of Jungkook's eyes, but the latter wouldn't respond.
"I-I..." Jungkook had finally found his voice. "H-he i-is my b-boss." He couldn't help but stutter.
"Oh I see." Jin went back to playing with his chopsticks and without sparing Jungkook a glance he said. "Eat. We need to leave in 20 minutes."
Jungkook's head was swimming, all he wanted to do was forget the dream but all he kept on doing was reminiscing how soft his hands had been, how plump his lips had felt against his own, how he had touched him... Stop Jungkook! It was just a dream, nothing of it was real, none of the feelings were real, you are just way too sex deprived, that's all. Or at least that's what he told himself to find some reasonable explanation to the whole situation. What worried him the most, though, was the fact that his hyung looked skeptical when he answered. "Oh I see." What was he thinking? Did his hyung think he had had some sexual experience with another man? No. Definitely not.
Jungkook shook his head to clear it from unwanted thoughts and forced himself to think about something else. "Are the other hyungs coming too?" He said to make conversation because he couldn't bear Jin's tense silence any longer.
"Tae, Hope-ah and Yoongi-ah?"
Jungkook nodded.
"Um... No, actually Namjoon hasn't invited them."
"Huh? Why?!"
"Well, he wanted just us to go, you know how shy he gets, he didn't even invite his family."
"Ah... Okay."
"What? Aren't we enough?" Jin pouted.
"Yes! Of course you are!"
Jungkook had just been lost in his thoughts, that's all. He couldn't remember the last time only the three of them had hung out and he was happy they would do that today. Don't get him wrong, he loved his other hyungs, it's just that he missed the old days. He missed all those times he had had quality time with his two best friends. Anyhow, he would be seeing his other hyungs next weekend at Hobi-hyung's opening... Oh shit! I forgot to tell them.
"Hyung, before I forget. Hobi-hyung is opening his dance studio next Sunday."
"Hell no."
"Wha...?
"I'm not going."
"Hyung! C'mon, it'll be fun!"
"No, and I don't think Namjoon will want to go either." Jin crossed his hands over his chest.
"Yes he will! He is not such a wet blanket like you." Jungkook pouted and crossed his arms too.
"Aish! This kid! I can't say no to you!"
"Yay! We are all going dancing next Sunday! It will be sooooo fun."
"Yes, for you! You just want to laugh at how we dance!"
"Hyung, how many times do I have to tell you? I don't laugh at you, I laugh with you."
"Yeah sure... C'mon, go get dressed, I'll finish up here."

Wow. Namjoon-hyung has definitely made it. Jungkook thought as soon as he stepped foot in the big salon Namjoon would be releasing his first book at. It was so beautifully decorated that Jungkook couldn't stop looking from side to side to every single detail on the walls, floors and ceilings. The walls were minimalistically decorated with different paintings, which Jungkook knew had been his hyung's idea. He could even recognise some of Namjoon's favourite paintings. Namjoon had always been interested in art. He had read books upon books related to the history of art and had a ton of books that contained a lot of paintings from different artists. He always told the younger how much he envied him for being able to draw and scolded him for not doing something out of it. Because although not many people knew, Jungkook was a great drawer. His older brother had been the one to take drawing lessons since a very young age and Jungkook had only watched how his brother drew. When he decided to try, he found out he could do it and very well, it came naturally for him. Jungkook loved drawing and painting as well as his brother but due to the fact that he was younger and more reserved, he wasn't the one who ended up being an artist. Besides, Jungkook had many talents so it was difficult for him to decide which one was the one he wanted to follow, so instead, he ended up not following any of them and settling in Seoul as an assistant at B. H. Entertainment. He didn't regret it, though, he wouldn't have met all of his other hyungs if he hadn't. And honestly, he couldn't imagine a life without Taehyungie-hyung, Hobi-hyung and Yoongi-hyung.
He kept running his eyes around the room to take in every detail of the decoration, the floors were made of marble and had big carpets scattered on it. They were white and gold, which gave the place some ancient, greek kind of air. Jungkook looked up, large, golden chandeliers hung from the high ceilings. All of a sudden, he felt a nudge on his right arm. He therefore, looked to his right and found Jin-hyung pointing with his crooked index finger at something in the distance. Jungkook followed his hyung's finger with his eyes and saw Namjoon in the middle of a crowd of important looking people. They were all wearing black suits as well as Namjoon, who was also wearing glasses, which made him look smart. He seemed to be immersed in some conversation with those people, but as soon as he saw his best friends, he waved at them, half smiling and making his cute dimple appear in his right cheek.
Jungkook's heart warmed at the sight of his best friend and hyung and waved back. Namjoon seemed to excuse himself because in a fraction of second he was at his best friends' side.
"Ah, Namjoon-ah! So handsome!" Jin spoke as soon as Namjoon joined them.
"Oh... Thanks Hyung." Namjoon looked down and even though Jin didn't catch it, Jungkook did. Red blush had stained his cheeks the moment Jin had complimented him, which made Jungkook sigh internally at how stupid his both hyungs could sometimes be.
They chatted for a few minutes, making light conversation. Jin told Namjoon about Hoseok's opening on Sunday and both of them complained, because they weren't very good dancers. The conversation then veered towards Namjoon's book release and he confessed how nervous he was. Although Namjoon was very good at talking, he always got cold feet before a speech. His best friends tried to help him with his nerves (Jin making dad jokes and Jungkook massaging his shoulders) and all too soon, Namjoon had to leave them to go prepare for his speech.
"Let's go sit." Jin said to Jungkook as soon as Namjoon left them.
They walked towards the rows of chairs to find themselves a good spot. There was a stage in front of the rows of chairs with a line of chairs and a long table, where different people were already starting to sit. The spot in the middle remained empty for the writer of the book.
Jin and Jungkook were already reaching the chairs when the latter felt someone kicking his butt. Of course Jin-hyung couldn't even behave at his friend's book release. But, who was he kidding? Of course Jungkook couldn't behave either. He therefore, slapped his hyung's butt with his right hand in return making noise, which luckily wasn't heard by many people due to the buzz of the crowd moving to sit down.
"Hush Jungkook-ah." Jin brought his crooked index finger to his lips trying to hide his smile. "We are at Namjoon's book release, behave please."
Jungkook chuckled and followed his hyung who had already entered the second row and had found a seat in the middle. Jungkook sat next to him and they both remained silent until Namjoon started speaking. Well, "remained silent" is a figure of speech because they definitely kept on fighting, slapping each other's thighs and bumping against each other's shoulders.
Once the speech was over and Namjoon had answered all the questions and signed all the books, the three friends were free to go to have lunch. They found a tiny traditional kind of place and decided to go in, craving some kimchi and japchae. They laughed and talked and enjoyed each other's company, which they hadn't done in a very long time. Sunday flew away and all too soon the three friends were saying their goodbyes, ready to start their week again.
