-Elizabeth POV-
I stared in terror at my fears standing right before me. I glanced at Brandon shaking my head. He mouthed something I couldn't understand.
"Honey are you ok?" My so called mom rushed over as if she cared. I pushed her off of me. I slid of the bed heading for the bathroom. My dad stepped in front of me,"Where are you going?"
I started to do the pee dance and he just let me through.
I locked all the doors leading to the bathroom and turned on the sink on. I looked towards the window. My escape! I quietly moved aside the curtains and pried open the window. I took the curtain and wrapped my wrist with it. I pulled my hand back and flung it at the screen. BANG! On no.
I hoisted my self on the sill just as Alex yanked the door open. I gave him a taunting wave and jumped. I crouched when I hit the ground. I pushed as hard as I could and into the woods. The sticks crunched under my bare feet as I ran as fast as I could. The night engulfed me and I kept running barely avoiding the trees that came at me head on. In the distance a wolf cried out.
I stopped in a clearing. the clearing was beautiful. It had a small river and waterfall. The moon shone on the water and I made my way to the waterfall. I could see an opening behind so I went for it. Skillfully hidden behind the waterfall was a small cave. I hid there. The only sound was the trickle of water and my short breaths. I fell asleep against the wall of the cave. I woke early that morning to the light brushing past the water.
I scouted the area and calculated my position. I ran back towards Brandon's house. After three hours of searching i stumbled across his barn. I could see the house down the hill. I ran towards and into the house where nobody was there. I found a light bag filled it with everything I could need. I got water, protein bars, energy drinks, clothes, and hygiene products. Then I left Brandon a note thankin him for everything he did. With that I left without looking back.
