It finally felt like everything was going back to normal around here. Everyone was laughing and smiling, all the while enjoying life. Although Nikki's birthday was soon and we were looking at birthday cakes.

"I think we should get this one." Luke states as he points to one that looks like a car.

"Yeah but I think this one!" Daniel exclaims, pointing and one shaped like a banana.

We argued until finally I saw a small picture of what looked to be a beach. Now none of us cared, all knowing it was the perfect cake. So we called up the place and everything was set, and just in time.

"Boys come grab your junk! I can't carry it all." Nikki yelled from the front door. l ran towards the door and took what she was carrying form her arms.

"Thank you." She smiled.

I returned the smile, "No worries."

The rest of the boys followed suit, taking bags or boxes and placing them on the kitchen counter. Soon enough the car was empty and we all collapsed on the couch.

"Jesus you bought a lot." Beau exclaimed.

Nikki chuckled, "Why else do you think I took the Jeep."

We all laughed and she laid he head on my chest. I put my arm around her shoulders and rubbed gently. At some point Luke probably turned on the TV, hence why we all stayed the couch for so long. When all was peaceful, a sudden thought interrupted it all.

Nikki jumped up and ran into the kitchen. All confused we followed her, only to see her digging through the bags. She was pulling things out left and right.

She looked me dead in the eyes, "I forgot that I bought frozen stuff. We never put anything away."

Luke took action immediately, putting anything she took out into the freezer. Beau, Daniel, James and I began putting the other stuff in the cupboards and fridge. When everything was put away, Nikki went up to her room. James beckoned for me to follow her so I did.

I knocked on the door before gently opening it. I looked at her bed and saw her sleeping. Walking over to the bed, I pulled the blankets over her and kissed her head. It broke my heart when she was sad so seeing her sleeping so soundly made me so happy.

So its been a few days and its the morning of Nikki's birthday. The cake arrived yesterday and we are all excited for her to see it. That same day I went out and took a trip to go buy her a little something to go with my other gift. This morning all us boys were up early to decorate the house, definitely not the best job, but it worked. I walked over to Jai, who was sleeping on the couch.

Placing my hand on my shoulder I shook him gently, "Hey bud, ready to see her smile?"

He jumped, eyes widened, "Shit, I forgot to wrap her gift."

"Its alright. You've got time, she's up in about an hour." I informed him.

He sighed in relief and I smiled. I watched as he ran into the garage, most likely to wrap the gift. Walking back into the kitchen I just so happened to glance at what Beau was placing in an envelope. A plane ticket.

"Beau?" He turned around in an instant.

His eyebrows raised in suspicion, "Yeah?"

"Do you think she will like everything?"

"Well why wouldn't she?" He questioned back.

I scratch my head, "I don't know. I just don't know how to get to her. She got Jai, somehow, even though you two were much closer."

He nodded, "Well yes and no. We were closer, but not much. Do you remember when you and I went with Mum to that concert?"

"Yeah."

He continued, "Well Mum told Jai to go over to Nikki's house. Her grandparents were there and it was just easier. Well during that time they bonded. Much more than we had anticipated. It was because of that night why they would always sneak out at night to be with one another. The reason they have such a fascination with the stars when they are together, thats what they would do. They would climb the roof of Nikki's house and watch the stars."

I stared at him, Jai never told me any of this.

"How do you know?"

Sighing he pulled a folded up piece of paper from his pocket.

"I found this on my pillow two nights back. The reason she wrote it, I have no idea. But I swear its important."

My eyes widened, "May I see."

Beau's eyes sunk, "It's better if you don't. There is some stuff only her and I have talked about."

Before I could respond Jai came running in with a few small boxes and one larger one, "I finished wrapping. Who's gonna wake her up?"

The sunlight his my eyes and I jolted up. I rubbed my eyes and as my vision was coming back into focus I noticed the outline of a person. Jumping back I cowered under the blanket.

"Calm down, its just me."

I pulled the blanket down and blinked once more, "Luke?"

He nodded, "The one and only. Say that was quite a jump, did I scare you that bad?"

"Well you witnessed it so you would know." I retorted.

He chuckled, "Yeah yeah, alright come on. I need you to put on some decent clothes and head downstairs."

I rolled my eyes, "Did you guys mess up the house again?"

A smile formed on the corner of his mouth, "Perhaps."

After settling on a Star Wars jumper and black Dirty Pig joggers I ran downstairs. Phone in hand on record, of course, I tiptoed into the living room. One floorboard creaked and I was bombarded by boys. They tackled me to the ground and I couldn't help but laugh. Jai was the closest to me.

"Morning babe." He smiled.

"Hey."

"Happy birthday." With that he kissed me. Lets just say that was probably the best kiss ever.

Okay let me explain. I was busy... jk, I was just lazy. I always wanted to write but at the same time I didnt want to. So I decided to suck it up and write. I hope this is okay. I will have the rest of the birthday up later(and a special part on Christmas)
