Calm in Life

Streams cascading down the cliff,

Gently flowing, soft, serene

Dulling pain and calming senses –

Isn't that what we call peace?

The sounds that follow silent waters,

The warmness of a human heart,

When whiteness overloads our Conscious –

Soon backs away, revealing light.

Tranquillity, a state of mind,

When every problem shrinks in size.

When sunrise stops the nightingale

And everything freezes amidst

The ancient boughs of maple trees.

So life-like flows this state of mind.

Erasing everything in white.

As many happenings prevail

To help us – Instruments of Light,

Preparing well for every fight.

So life-like flows this state of mind.
