Quality Over Quantity

This was already shaping up to be such a wonderful year.

Shota Aizawa held back an annoyed sigh as he watched his class approach him clad in their gym uniforms. The underground hero had already observed the class from one of the many secret compartments that let him observe the room without anyone knowing.

Why the rat had those installed he would never know but Aizawa wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth

And from his observation he saw what exactly what kind of class had been thrusted on the sleep deprived teacher.

To their credit most of them seemed decent enough, going to their seats and waiting patiently for the class to start and while a few of them were standing and goofing around they shut up the moment he arrived. True there were a couple of students he was going to have to keep an eye on. One in paticualr he would have already expelled had Nezu barred him from expelling students before the end of the first class. But overall he thought most could make decent heroes at least.

But now watching them walking lackadaisically towards him caused him to start having second thoughts.

Once they were all gathered Aizawa breathed deeply through his nose. "Alright now that you're all here you're each going to go through a quirk assessment test." Shota revealed to his students who were all taken back by the sudden turn of events.

"A quirk assessment test?" They parroted and Aizawa withheld another groan. "Year after year it's always the same.' He thought before rolling his eyes. 'Along with what comes next.' He thought as Ochako Uraraka stepped forward a concerned look on her face, "But what about the orientation? It has information that we might need." She said her hands raised in worry.

"All that information is given in a handout that the principal doesn't deviate from. You can read it later on your own time as homework." He told the girl causing many of the less academic students to groan and whine.

"Listen well kids you've got 3 years to prepare for the life of a hero. Along that combined with UA's unrestricted style of teaching and you've got to be ready at all times" Shota said withholding a smirk that threatened to grow when he saw many of then these up and start paying much more attention.

With the kids properly motivated now he was able to move on. "For years now you've been taking standardized physical test, but up until now you've always been prohibited from using your quirks correct?" He questioned getting nods from most of the students.

"Izuku Midoriya step forward." He ordered and the students had to part ways to allow the boy step forward. He was the tallest member of the class by far standing at 8'0' tall with radiant skin and long, flowing emerald hair that reached his lower back with matching emerald eyes.

"Yes sir?" Izuku asked while his teacher threw a ball towards his student. "What was your throw in middle school?" Aizawa questioned and Izuu snorted. "Not sure the teacher never bothered to look for it." Izuku admitted causing the class to start muttering in confusion on exactly what that meant while an ashen blond was gritting his teeth in rage.

"Right." Aizawa drawled before turning and pointing to a circle lined with chalk, "Now try it with your quirk. Anything goes so long as you remain within the circle." The teacher explained getting a nod from Izuku who headed for the circle only to stop and glance back to the class. "Those that have sensitive hearing might want to cover their ears." Izuku cautioned before continuing on to circle.

The class for the most part glanced at each other confused but a purple haired girl by the name of Kyoka Jirou did as cautioned and covered her ears with her palms,

Once he got to center he tossed the ball up in his a couple of times. 'Alright let's put on a bit of a show.' Izuku smirked before suddenly his body began to grow massive as his muscles bulged and became massive and even more muscular scaring the crap out of the other students.

"HOLY CRAP HE GOT HUGE!"  Denki Kamanari shouted at the sudden change. "He was already bigger then All Might before this is just excessive!" Mina Ashido screamed though her eyes were sparkling. "IT"S SO MANLY!" Eijro Kirishima shouted his fist clenched as Jirou just pushed her palms harder on her ears.

Izuku smirked. "Brace yourselves!" He warned before reeling back and befroe lunging forward releasing the ball with such force and power and destroyed the ground from underneath him while unleashing a shockwave that blasted several of the students back. Aizawa squinted through as he tried to peer through the air pressure. Finally the wind died down and everyone could see Izuku now back to his default size standing in a hole with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face.

"Well Mr.Aizawa." Izuku dressed his teacher while pulling his arms apart. "What do you think?" He asked and Aizawa glanced to his phone that pinged but before he could look it his students recovered. "SO MANLY!" Kirshima shouted as he hopped out of the bush he was blasted into right next to Mina and Hanta Sero.

"That was wicked!" Mina grinned as Sero gave a nervous smirk. "More like unfair." He muttered glancing at his elbows. Seriously Midoriya got to world breaking strength and he got tape elbows where's the justice in that?

When Izuku left the circle he walked over towards Mezo Shoji who along with Fumikage Tokoyami managed to stay in their feet while helping Tsuyu Asui and Jirou from flying off. "You guys okay?" He asked the group once he got close enough. "Yeah no harm down though my hair might disagree." Tsuyu said as she patted her hair down trying to get it back under control while Momo Yaoyorozu did the same.

"Yeah no hard done. Thanks for the heads up by the way." Jirou said hands in her pockets. Izuku smiled in relief. "No problem." He muttered before noticing the rest of the class approaching. Before they could say anything however Aizawa cleared his throat. "IF we can get a move on that would be great." Aizawa requested casting everyone to snap their mouths shut. "Good as for your score Midroiya." He said before showing everyone his score.

Revealing the infinite symbol for everyone to see.

"Holy crap!" Rikido Sato shouted in disbelief over the score along with many of the other students. Some however took it as a challenge. Shoto Todoroki gripped his fist in frustration at the new challenge that just presented itself but also felt his resolve grow to over come it. Bakugou Katsuki on the other hand just felt his rage and hatred go for the constant thorn in his side grow. However he barely got a single explosion off before he felt the eyes of their worthless excuse of a teacher bore into him as if daring him to try something. The ashen blonde teen grit his teeth as he forced himself to lower his hands. All the while glaring bloody murder at the green haired teen.

Aizawa sighed but seeing the situation taken care of from now on deiced to move on. "You all need to know your maximum abilities, These test are going to help you with that and help you discover your potential as a pro." Aizawa explained firing the class up for the task ahead.

Unfortunately it wasn't the way he wanted.

"Oh yeah this is going to be more fun than I've had in ages!" Mina giggled in delight.

"Finally using our quirks the way we want and as much as we want, so awesome!" Sero laughed pumped for the event.

"You worthless extras better stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you!" Bakugou roared but was for the most part ignored. The students all continued to chatter happily until it came to an end by Aizawa's next words.

"How disappointing."

A chill filled the air the class of twenty turned and faced their now glaring teacher. "And here I thought you were all here to be heroes and socialize and enjoy yourselves." He criticized. "Please sir we were just.." Tanya Iida tried to explain only for Aizawa to explain. "I know exactly what you were doing. Messing around while not taking anything seriously. It's the first day after all who takes anything serious on the first day despite only having 3 years to prepare yourselves for hero work?" He questioned before his glare worsened. "Well how's this for serious? Those that I deem with no potential will be dropped from the hero course."

Screams and terrified expressions now filled the air. "But sir that's not fair, we just got here you can't expel us just like that!" Ochako protested only to shiver slightly when the teacher's glare fill on her. "Unfair you say? Tell that to the people who have to live through villain attacks and natural disasters." He shot down mercilessly. "It's time to grow up kids, you wanted this job not you've got to warn it understand?" He questioned getting silent nods all around. "Good now follow me." He instructed taking a few steps as the others began to follow.

"I'm sorry sir but do you really expect that charade of yours to work?"

Only to come to a complete halt as silence covered the field. Slowly he turned to the one who spoke which turned out to be Momo her arms crossed and an unimpressed look on her face. "Excuse me??" He asked and the heiress let out a tired sigh. "Sir you might be a teacher but even you have your restrictions on what you can and can't do. So please don't insult our intelligence by hang empty threats such explosion over our heads." She requested sounding embarrassed she even had to do such a thing.

The class turned their attention back to Aizawa who gave them a singe look over before turning and continued to walk. "Believe what you want just remember that it was your decision when the consequences catch up with you." He warned walking away.

Seeing their teacher walk away only cemented the fact that he was lying further into them and with that rage and annoyance followed.

"HOW DEPLORABLE! HOW COULD UA HIRE MAN SUCH AS THAT?!" Iida demanded his arms moving rapidly as he spoke. "Yeah man I mean lying to your students how unmanly could you get?" Eijiro scowled and crossed his arms. "That's even if he was our teacher at all." Momo theorized. "It's like he said UA has a unique style of teaching. This could perhaps be a method employed by our real teacher. Use another  registered hero as bait to observe the class." She explained a thoughtful look on her face.

Everyone glanced at each other, the idea seemed a bit farfetched but as Momo pointed out this was UA, they couldn't exactly expect the norm here." So does that mean we don't have to do the test?" Denki questioned. "FUCK THAT NOSIE! NO WAY AM I DANCING TO THAT NOBODY'S TONE!" Bakugou  roared beyond furious that he had been threatened and ordered around by some worthless no name hero that probably wasn't even a d lister.

"Sparky's attuitude aside." Mina muttered while digging her finger in her ear while ignoring Bakugou's glare. "I got to admit all that expulsion stuff completely killed my excitement." She muttered sitting down on the grass as her classmates nodded. "Yeah using our quirks is going to be cool but a fake expulsion threat is way too far." Sero muttered also taking a seat. "He could have just done something like extra homework, he didn't have to go that far." Sato added on.

As  more and more students sat down Ochako suddenly gasped. "What's wrong Ochako?" Tsu asked with the gravity girl looking around. "Guys what if this is the test? Heroes have to be constantly vigilant so what if the true goal was to see who could see through the deception?" She proposed. "Perhaps and maybe after the task are done he'll drop a final task on us. When we were tired and see how we react." Tsu added on with many of their fellow classmates gasping.

"So it was a hidden test within a test. To see who could see through a deception and therefore have better odds when the true trial began!" Iida nodded furiously. "Just what one should expect of UA!

"Yeah and now we'll be ready for whatever secret test is coming our way!" Denki cheered along with most of the class. "Hey wait a minute." Mina questioned looking around. "Aren't we messing some people?" She pointed out to everyone there and it quickly became obvious to everyone that there were students missing.

Midoriya, Tokoyami, Jirou and Mezu were no where to be found and it didn't take much time to figure out where they went. "I guess they wanted to continue on with the test despite knowing the explosion threat was fake." Sato muttered with Bakugou scoffing. "Of course Deku would do that! Always will to kiss the teacher's ass to get ahead!" He spat in disgust which caused many of the students to scowl at him.

"Hey man lay off will ya? They probably just wanted to see how they would do in each test. That's pretty manly if you ask me." Eijiro quickly came to their defense causing Bakugou to sneer.  "But doesn't that mean they'll be tired out by the time the hidden test starts?" Ochako asked concered only for Momo to place her hand on the girl's shoulder. "Don't worry Uraraka we'll make sure they don't fall behind. THat's what heroes do after all!" Momo announced getting cheers from most of the class.

"Yeah will show them all what class 1a could do!" Eijiro shouted before taking a seat as the group began to talk so they could get to know each other.

Line break.

"So is this everyone or are the others just taking their sweet time getting here?" Aizawa questioned watching the 4 teenagers approach. "It appears to be just us sir." Tokoyami answered before glancing over his shoulder where the rest of the class was clearly visible. "I don't think our classmates have any intention to participate anytime soon." He added hesitantly.

Aizawa gazed at his feather headed student before glancing over to where his remaining students where sitting, laughing and socializing without a care in the world. The 4 teens present grew more and more nervous unable to gauge what their stone faced teacher was thinking. Finally he broke his gaze. "Well in any case the next test will be the 50-Meter Dash." The teacher explained but stoped when he saw Jirou hesitantly raise her hand,

"E-excuse me sir but uh why aren't we just continuing the ball throw since we already there?" She asked while clicking her jacks together nervously. To her relief though Aizawa answered nice and easy. "Because that was the only ball I had on me. I grabbed it so it could be used as an example of what we were doing. The rest of them will be ready by the time we circle back." Aizawa explained before pausing. "Though maybe I should cancel most of them considering it doesn't look like we'll be needing them." He muttered annoyed though the students still heard him.

Shaking those thoughts aside Aizawa got things back on track. "Anyway you'll go in pairs and that bot over there will keep track of your scores understand?" He asked while point to a recorder on a tripod getting nods from the students.

"Now Shoji and Jirou to your positions." He instructed as the two students walked over to the starting lanes. Shoji though most of his face was covered resolve shined brightly in his eyes. Jirou however was noticeably nervous with beads of sweat running down her face but she was still determined to succeed.

"Ready...GO." The recorder announced with the two darting forward. Mezo was quick to take a lead and crossed the finish line. "Mezo Shoji, time: 4.50 seconds." The recorder announced with the multi armed teen giving a small fist pump. Kyoka passed a few seconds later panting slightly. "Kyoka Jirou, time: 8.43 seconds." It announced and Kyoka scowled. "Damn it why didn't I experience more before coming here?" She questioned herself. "Plenty of time for that later kid." She heard Aizawa  say. The punk girl turned to look at her teacher but he wasn't even looking at her.

"Alright Tokoyami and Midoriya you're up." He ordered with the two boys taking their positions. Right before they started a dark shadowy creature emerged form Tokoyami's torso. It had claws with a bird like head and glowing yellow eyes. "You ready to eat our dust Muscle Mountain?" It questioned causing Tokoyami to scowl. "Shut your beak." He ordered before looking apologetically towards Izuku, "Apologies. Dark Shadow likes to run her mouth at times." He apologized. "Not a problem I-... Did you say she?" He couldn't help but ask getting a giggle from Dark Shadow. "We'll tell you later." She promised as both students refocused on the test.

Kyoka meanwhile was covering her ears. "Do you really think that's necessary?" Shoji asked causing Kyoka to glance at him. "After last time I'm not taking any chances." She told the multi-armed teen who nodded as before watching the two other boys get ready

"Ready...G- Izuku Midoriya, time 0.01 seconds." The recorder declared as the students were blown off their feet by the air pressure as Aizawa crouched down and steadied himself on the ground as he watched Izuku skid to a halt.

"Damn it." Jirou groaned as she got shakily got to her feet. "Greenie doesn't do anything have assed does he?" She muttered while dusting herself off. "UA's motto is 'Go beyond!' Guess he took it to heart." Mezu added on. "Oh that's how you want to play it huh?! Let me at him Fumi!" Dark Shadow shouted trying to swing at Izuku only to be held back by Fumikage.

'Doesn't know the meaning of restraint. Just like another muscle head I know.' Aizawa thought in annoyance as he gave an annoyed look towards Izuku.

"Impressive speed but you need to work on control." He lectured before looking towards the skid marks on the road. "As well as the breaks." He added on getting a sheepish nod from Midoriya. "Yeah sorry sir whenever I go that fast I have a hard time turning. Figured that sense I was just going into a straight line it would be fine." He admitted getting a tired sigh from Aizawa.

"Tokoyami get back into position, I'll reset the robot." Aizawa instructed getting a nod from the avian haired boy. "Alright Muscle Head decided to be a show off but that's okay. Let's show these guys what we can do." Dark Shadow cheered getting a nod from Fumiakge.  "Ready...Go." Dark Shadow shot forward dragging Fumikage along with her crossing the finish line easily. "Fumikage tokoyami, time, 3.44 seconds." The recorder announced with Dark Shadow cheering and Fumiakge to nod satisfied with the score.

"Right with that done we'll be heading inside for the next three test." Aizawa informed the 4 students before turning around and began to walk away. "Follow me." He ordered heading towards one of the gym with his students following quickly behind them.

As they walked Jirou gave Izuku a look. "Okay Greenie besides complete bullshit what even is your quirk?" She had to ask with Izuku looking away. "That's a long, slightly complicated story. One better saved when we have more free time. Though I promise I'll explain later." Izuku swore getting nods from the other 3.

Meanwhile up front Aizawa gave a nod. Both at Midoriya for not going into a lengthy story in the middle of a test and towards Jirou for her commitment on Izuku's quirk. He had access to all of his student's records including their quirk information.

And if what he read about Midoriya's was true bullshit was a vast understatement.

Line break.

"Alright next up is the Grip Strength." Aizawa said handing devices to the four. "These devices will record your strength so give it your all." The hero explained. "Now who's?" He started to ask only for the sound of metal crushing and turned to see Izuku's device in two pieces. A broken and twisted handle in his hadn't and the recorder on the floor smashed to pieces.

IZuku looked apologetic while Aizawa just pinched the bridge of his nose. 'I honestly should have expected something like that.' He thought while releasing a sigh, "Somebody...someday just go." He ordered and Mezu stepped up to the plate. Gripping the device with all his strength the number continued to rise until it dinged at 540.0kg. Nodding he jotted down the score. "Next he instructed as Dark Shadow emerged and took hold of the device.

Squeezing the handle with everything she had the quirk growled until it dinged presenting a score of 486.7kg. Jotting down the score while ignoring the grumbling quirk all eves turned to Kyoka who gulped nervously. 'Okay girl think they guys have completely amazing scores with their stupidly busted quirks while you have the strength of a normal high school girl.' She thought before scowling. 'Damn it nothing short of busting this thing will result in a good score.;' She thought in annoyance.

'Wait a minute.'  Jirou's eyes widened as an idea popped into her head before her yes darted to the broken device by Izuku's feet. "Mr. Aizawa what exactly did you give Izuku for a score?" She asked hoping her teacher would answer. Aizawa must have realized what she was thinking because he released a groan before showing the score next to Izuku's name which simply said Yes

Grinning nervously she plugged her jacks into the device and after a quick glance towards Aizawa who made no move to stop her started sending her heartbeat through the hacks into the device as the numbers started to rise. The number shot up rapidly until it was quickly apparhlcing the maximum amount before after a few seconds the casing cracked and parts of the device started poking out.

Looking hopefully towards the teacher who after giving her a dry look went to her name typed in her score and showed it to the group where everyone could see Yes next to her name. "That's what I'm taking about!" Kyoka cheered fist in the air only to stop when she saw Aizawa give her an annoyed look while the others were watching in amusement.

The purple haired girl giggled in embarrassment while twirling her jack around her finger. "Sorry." She apologized causing Aizawa to shake his head. "Let's move on." Was all he said before moving to another corner of the gym.

The next test was the sit up test and while Shoji and Izuku cleared it with out issue going until Aizawa told them to stop Tokoyami and Jirou had a harder time. Tokoyami had Dark Shadow to push himself up for a few sets while Jirou tried to use her jacks to pull her self up which worked at first but quickly had to stop.

After that was the seat toe touch and the 4 each was able to shine in this one. Izuku and Fumikage using Dark Shadow maligned to touch the ankles of their shoes while Kyoka managed to touch her soles. Mezu managed to reach his upper soles just a little short of Kyoka.

Once that was done Aizawa led the 4 students back outside and led them to the next test which was the repeated side step. Mezo and Tokoymai did fine, their attempts nothing special but acceptable for now. Kyoka did a bit better managing to go slightly above average. Izuku meanwhile was the best able to go at a speed that caused him to blur while still remaining in the lines.

Next was the standing long jump Izuku cleared the jump easily while Tokoyami managed it thanks to Dark Shadow launching him off the ground. Mezzo gave it his best but was only able to get make it 3/4 of he way while Kyoka made it about halfway.

Finally the 4 students had circled back around to the ball throw where the other students were waiting. "Hey Midoriya!" Uraraka greeted with a smile and wave. "How are the test going?" She asked and Izuku opened his mouth before Aizawa answered for him.

"If you wanted to know that you should have taken them yourself." He answered flatly though the glare that came with indicated just how annoyed he was. The gravity erasing girl laughed nervously and sat back down as Iida stood. "Excuse me sir. "These softballs were delivered when you were away." He said indicating to a bucket of balls a little to the side.

The speedster chose to leave out the strange and almost pitying looks they got from the staff member when they explained what they were doing out there.

Aizawa gave a nod as he walked over to the bucket. "Alright Midoriya already went so we can skip over him so Shoji you go next." He instructed as the multi armed teen stepped forward and grabbed one of the soft balls. "Do anything you want just stay in the circle." He reminded the teen who nodded as he headed for the ring.

Reaching the circle Soji took a pitcher's stance before throwing the ball with all his strength causing it to fit out of sight. A few seconds alter the ball disappeared for view Aizawa's phone pinged and Aizawa showed his student the score.

565.55m

Shoji grinned under his mask at the score before walking back over to the other 3.

"Nice one man!"

"That was so manly!"

"Great job Shoji!"

The 4 test takers watched as the rest of the class cheered Shoji on like they were at a sporting event. "You guys seem enthusiastic." Kyoka poitned out Denki giving a cherry grin. "What we just want to show our support!" He shrugged while before giving a thumbs up giving a good guy pose while immediately ruined with what Mina said next. "Yeah besides we're super bored just sitting here!" She admitted with a careless grin as the 4 test takers were staring slacked jaw at the alien loving girl.

'She did not just say that!' They thought incredulously at the pure stupidity of saying that in front of the teacher. It only got worse their other classmates spoke up. "Yeah we're kinda running out of things to talk about." Torou admitted. "Honestly we probably should have gone to Orientation instead of wasting our time here." Momo muttered getting nods from Tsuyu, Shoto Todoroki, Iida and Uraraka.

"WOULD YOU WORTHLESS FUCKING EXTRA'S QUIET WAISTING MY TIME AND END THIS POINTLESS FUCKING TEST ALREADY! I KNOW YOU WANNA KISS THE HOBO'S ASS BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS!' Bakugou screamed at the top of his lungs barely keeping himself from activating his quirk.

The 4 teens turned to Aizawa who's face only they could see expecting a look of barely contained rage and fury. The 4 were already mentally planning their pleas that they didn't agree with their utter morons of classmates only to freeze when they finally saw his face.

His face was that of an eerie calmness as if he hadn't heard a thing merely glancing towards Fumikage and Kyoka as if to ask them who was next. However it was his eyes that told them everything. They had a look of resolute victory as if everything he wanted had just been given to him.

"Right well whose turn is it now?" He asked ignoring the majority of his class in favor for the two students who were still waiting for their turn.  Jirou raised her hand. "I'll go." She volunteered before catching a ball Aizawa tossed her. Jirou started heading for the circle while stabbing it with her jacks.

Once in the circle Aizawa gave her the go ahead she raised the jack with the ball on it and after channeling her heartbeat into her jacks sent the ball flying into the air with Aizaw's phone going off a few seconds later. 384.24m the phone rang and Jirou gave a small smile at seeing her score. With no one else left to go Fumikage took one of the balls and headed for the circle. Once he got there Dark Shadow emerged.

"A question before we begin sir. I understand I myself can't leave the circle but what about Dark Shadow?" Fumikage questioned. "Dark Shadow is a quirk not a student so the rule doesn't apply to her." Aizawa answered causing Fumikage and Dark Shadow to share a smirk before the quirk took the ball and started to twist and spin rapidly as he built up more and more momentum before finally releasing it and letting it fly.

The ball quickly soared out of sight until Aizawa's phone beeped as he showed the distance sitting at 864.55m." Alright  we've got one last test before everything's over but dare I ask if anyone wants to throw and participate in the final event?" He asked watching the class glance at each other before Momo stood up.

"Sir this charade has gone on long enough please stop this now and proceed to the true test." Momo requested and for the first time today he blinked in confusion. "Trust test?" He parroted getting nods from the heiress. "Indeed sir after some brain storming it quickly became obvious that there's a hidden test waiting for us at the end of the false trials." Momo said. "So please sir let us began the true test." Momo once more requested and almost the entire class stood determination shining in the eyes ready to prove that they were ready to be heroes.

Aizawa meanwhile just looked at them utterly perplexed at how they could have possibly come to that conclusion. A quick glance towards the 4 test takers saw them just as confused as he was only offering shrugs as their answers.

Taking a deep breath Aizawa addressed the rest of his class. "Alright kids I'll be honest with you." He told them causing many to grin or smirk, "There is no hidden test and I have no idea how you came to that conclusion." He admitted and now their smirks and smiles turned to frowns and scowls while Aizawa released his sigh. "Listen all of you are extremely close to being expelled, but if you preform both in the ball throw and the long distance run  I won't expel anyone."

It was an offer he would never make in any other circumstance but for some reason he decided to give this one chance to try and redeem themselves.

And they completely wasted it.

"Sir that is enough!" Momo yelled exasperated. "It's already bad enough some of our classmates weren't able to see through the deception." Here the rich girl gave an apologetic and pitiful look which any annoyed the 4 if anything Kyoka had to fight the urge to give the rich girl a very rude hand gesture.

"Indeed sir this game has gone on long enough! Please move on to the actual exam so our time might be spent and an actual beneficial way!" Iida requested with many of the students making similar request.

Aizawa watched them in silence before finally speaking. "Fine." He relented and for a moment the students thought that won. "Believe what you want but just remember I gave you a chance." He warned as before turning his back on the students who grumbled and sat back down as he approached the 4 remaining students.

"Like I said the last remaining test is the long distance run follow me." He instructed before leading them away from the students who were just shaking their heads. No doubt annoyed with Aizawa and the 4 of them. "Sir there is no hidden test is there?" Fumikage questioned once they got out of ear shot. "No, no there is not." Aizawa confirmed getting them to exchange confused looks before glancing back at the students.

"I just wanna know why they think there's a hidden test. A few I can understand I guess but seriously all of them?" Jirou questioned incredulously a thought shared with the other 3 students. "Mob mentally." Aizawa answered still ahead of them as the kids focused their attention on their teacher.

"Sometimes when crowds come together and start sharing ideas a few of those ideas start to take root in everyone's heads due to facts that they have available at the time. Someone could have given a suggestion that they were able to morph into something that's completely untrue." Aizawa explained  before scratching his head. "How they came to that conclusion that there's a hidden test I have no idea." He admitted just  as they made it to the track for the long distance run.

The long distance once was done mostly in silence though each of the 4 students pushed beyond their limits more motivated than ever to do well. Kyoka dropped first red faced and heaving but still managing to go far longer than she had ever before. Fumikage went down a few laps after that but managed to stay on his feet though that was mostly because Dark Shadow was there to support him.

Mezo was able to keep up with Izuku for a while creating more arms and morphing into a short of shelled to protect him from the sun, thus saving energy though eventually Mezo ran out of steam and had to stop. As for Izuku once the others had stopped and it was clear the green boy wasn't going to stop any time soon Aizawa ended the test.

And just like that the quirk apprehension test came to an end.

Line break

The students were standing and waiting for them by the time they got back, some looking excited while others had expressions of downright impatience with Bakugou barley holding it together,

"Alright I'm going to reveal the results of the tests now." Aizawa said not even addressing the other 16 students who seemed to falter and grow more annoyed at being ignored. Aizawa didn't pay them any attention as he brought out a remote and pressed a button.

1. Izuku Midoriya

2. Fumikage Tokoyami

3. Mezo Shoji

4. Kyoka Jirou

"You all preformed acceptable today." Aizawa admitted before frowning. "However do not think for a moment that you can just stay at the levels you're at. There's always room for improvement  no matter how strong you think you are." Aizawa was looking straight at Izuku as he was saying this, his message clear with Izuku nodding in agreement with his teacher.

"Never feel like your safe or that you're spot in the hero course has been secured. These next few years will be the pivotal in making sure you're ready for your hero careers. Your other teachers and myself will do our best to prepare you but never assume we wont cut you if we don't think you can handle it." Aizawa warned getting nods from the 4 test takers.

"Good now go get changed, your syllabus should be waiting for you on your desk back in the classroom after you grab them head on home and don't be late tomorrow." Aizawa instructed getting nods from the 4 teens before they headed offer to locker rooms. As they passed their fellow students they saw looks of confusion on some of their faces, no doubt wondering why he was sending them away before the true test. While others had growing looks of doubt as well as slight notes of panic.

Izuku, Fumikage and Mezo gave them slight pitying looks while Kyoka didn't spare them a glance less she do something that ruins her chance.

Once he saw they were gone Aizawa faced the rest of class and saw more and more starting to resize the situation they were in. "S-sir the hidden test? " Iida asked still hoping that there was a chance. "Yeah let's get on with it!" Mina agreed cheerfully though it was clear she was nervous.

Aizawa opened his mouth to once again try to once again convince the kids there was no hidden test. "I think I'd like to hear more about this hidden test as well." A new voice requested and everyone turned to see principal Nezu approaching them

"Principal Nezu sir." Aizawa greeted as the principal finally reached them. "When I saw that the newest class 1A wasn't there I had a suspicion where you were. So after that orientation ended I watched the recordings of your test." Nezu told the underground hero who seemed rather guarded. "And what do you think?" He asked and after a moment Nezu answered. "A couple might be rough around the edges but they've all got the makings of true heroes." He said while looking at the remaining students.

This caused them to sigh in relief as massive smiles to break out on the faces on the faces of the remaining faces. "Thank you sir we're glad your expectations have been meet!" Iida bowed deep while still moving his arms. "Of course I'll always recognize talent when I see it." He promised causing the students to brighten even more causing all but Aizawa to miss the look in Nezu's eyes causing Aizawa to tsk in annoyance . 'Damn rodent in his mind games.'

"Now than may I ask why there are only 4 names up on the score board?" He asked gesturing to the still projected scores. The class was about to answer but unfortunately it was Bakugou that spoke up first. "Because Deku and his band of fucktards were big enough dumbasses to actually fall for such an obvious trap." He scoffed with many of the crew scolding at the teen.

"Bakugou such langue is unacceptable here at UA!" Iida scolded the blonde boy who growled but the speedster answered the unknown animal before he could retort. "Sir it quickly became obvious that there were more to the test than it appeared especially after the claims this man uttered." Tenya began to explain only for Nezu to cut him off.

"That man who is your homeroom teacher Shota Aizawa." Principal Nezu clarified shutting down the speedster. "I believe he informed you of this already." He added on while the most of the class eyes widened before they exchanged nervous looks. "He did." Tsuyu admitted.  "But we had our doubts after he made claims about expelling us if we didn't preform will enough." The frog girl tried to explain. A right I did indeed grant him." Nezu once more cut off while confirming what their teacher said was true.

And with that the unease they were all feeling as slowly growing into a low panic as the weight of everything they did or rather didn't do was slowly dawning on them. "Now then you've all mentioned a hidden test." Nezu moved on to the next point and they all felt some hope return. "A test I assure you does not exist." And like that it was scattered to the wind."May I ask how you came to such a conclusion?" He asked and after a few moments of no one speaking up a shakily hand was raised with everyone looking towards a shaking Ochako. "It was me sir." She admitted her voice barely beyond a whisper.

"I see. Please explain your reasoning." Nezu requested and Ochako looked down in shame. "I thought that maybe it was a test within a test. Something to show who could see a hidden trap because and avoid it such as getting tired and not having the energy to participate." Ochako finished with her head down know hearing just how ridiculous it sounded.

"And might I ask why you thought we'd do something like that on your first day of school?" Nezu asked and this time it was Momo who was answered. "W=well this is UA and its motto is going plus extra." Momo tired to justify but uncertainly was clear in her tone.

"Yeah yeah!" Denki shouted. "And Mr. Aizawa said that teachers have a ton of freedom here! Why couldn't we believe that he had a hidden test?!" The lightning user pointed out. "So you believed he was going to give you a hidden test despite not saying anything that could even hint at thought, but you utterly dismiss the threat of expulsion without a single thought?" Nezu questioned and no one had an answer for him.

"So let me see if I've got the full story. You make light of a assignment that your teacher gives you before waving away his warning without a care in the world while at the same time showing a great deal of disrespect to your teacher before outright refusing to do the work assigned to you. And than when he gave you a chance to make up for it you throw it back in his face while still refusing to do what he asked of you, While once again showing disrespect to not just your teacher but your fellow classmates who did in fact do what was asked of them" Nezu finished his recap while looking around.

"Did I miss anything?" He asked and most of the students could only look down in shame. "No sir." Momo whispered tears already forming in her eyes. Not seeing anyone else speaking up  Nezu nodded. "Well then as you heard your teacher. Go get changed and grab your syllabus." Nezu instructed as he turned and began to walk away only to stop and say one more soul crushing statement.

"Oh and those that are being removed from UA will be receiving a phone call later this evening." The unknown animal declared flooding the students with panic and despair.  "Please follow me Shota it appears we have much to discuss at the meeting this afternoon." The principal called getting a nod from the man who didn't spare his class a second glance leaving them standing there shell shocked as to what was happening.

"HOLD IT!" Until to was broken by Bakugou who's eyes were burning with rage. "YOU'RE NOT EXPELLING ME! NO CHANCE IN HELL!" He roared looking angry than he ever had. "Oh I'm not?" Nezu asked patiently. "FUCK NO YOU'RE NOT! BECAUSE I'M THE FUTURE NUMBER 1 HERO RODENT! AND NO ONE'S GONNA DENY ME WHAT I DESERVE BECAUSE I REFUSED TO DO WHAT A D LIST NOBODY TOLD ME TO! ESPECIALLY A RODENT LIKE YOU!" He roared while pointing towards the teachers.

The yelling banged to snap everyone to their senses as they all started shouting out pleas. Even Momo and Iida joined in so focused on trying to keep their places they ignore what came from their vulgar classmate's mouth.

"Please let us stay!"

"You cant do this!

"We worked so hard to get here!"

"We promise to try harder in the future!"

"We'll be the manliest students you've ever had!"

"Just give us a second chance!"

Nezu remained silent through all of this until that last once reached his ears. "A second chance?" He asked getting nods from  the students. "I'm sorry but as I recall from the footage Mr. Aizawa already gave you a second chance, one that you waisted remember?" Nezu asked and a memory form the earlier that day entered each of their minds.

"Seconds chances are a miracle in the world of heroics and you threw yours away like it was nothing." Nezu continued to lecture taking in the expressions the students. Bakuogu and Shoto were glaring with pure hatred in their eyes but a good deal of the later were directed at himself while the boys had their heads bowed in humiliation and despair tears going down some of their faces, Iida was shaking violently while Yuga who was trembling like a leaf a look of pure fear on his face.

Some of the girls like Mina and Okacho were openly crying along with Toru though the later remained unseen. Tsuyu had her head down but the low croaks as well as the droplets of water ihitting the ground beneath her showed her true intentions. Momo had collapsed to her knees, hands covering her face as she openly wept, guilt and self loathing flowing through her yelling at her it was her fault in the first place.

Nezu watched the students collapse in silence before turning to Aizawa. "Come along Shota. I have staff monitoring them when we're gone." He informed the hero who nodded. Once they were out of earshot Aizawa let out a tired breath.

"This,....This is a new one for me." Aizawa muttered having never been in a situation like this before. "Indeed and a quite tragic one." Nezu agreed before straightening up. "But we both know what needs to be done, it's not like last year." He reminded the teacher who nodded before continuing on in silence leaving 16 kids and their crushing despair behind.

Line break.

"They're still standing there." Fumikage observed as the 4 exited the school and saw their classmates still out in the field where they left them. "I mean it's only been about 10 minutes. I'm not surprised." Mezo muttered more than a little relived that their first day was so short. "Yeah well what do you expect? They fucked up their futures before they could even start." Jirou snorted. "And you're just so chocked up about it Jirou?" Izuku questioned causing the ear jack girl to glance up at him.

"After all the shit they spewed both at Mr. Aizawa and us my sympathy is running dry." Kyoka muttered before shaking her head. "But that's not important right now is it?" She asked as they all started to walk away. "You're right about that. The first hurtle in our quest to become heroes has been cleared." Fumikage stated getting a smirk from Izuku. "Yup we just have to survive the next 3 years of tests and judgments as well as our careers as heroes. No big deal." He waved away as Mezo chuckled. "We're basically halfway there." He joked getting laughs from the rest.

"Well we can worry about that later." Kyoka muttered before raising her hands high. "For now we can celebrate making it through the first day." She smiled before looking towards the sky. "And we've still got plenty of day left too." She muttered glancing at her watching and seeing it was early in the afternoon. "Say." She muttered while turning to the boys. "Where's everyone heading home to?" She questioned. "Shizuoka." They all answered before blinking as Jirou laughed. "Same here."

"You guys grew up there too?" Izuku asked and this time Fumikage and Jirou nodded but Shoji shock his head. "I just moved here because of UA before that I grew up in the country side." He admitted getting winces from the other 3 especially Kyoka and Fumikage, all 3 having learned about how mutants are treated in the country.

"Well .how do you like the place so far?" Izuku asked a little awkwardly. "Pretty good from what I've seen so far but I've only been here for a couple of days." Mezo admitted with the same idea forming in the minds of the other 3. "Well in that case what do you guys say we give our multi-armed friend here a tour of our home town?" Izuku proposed with the other two nodding in agreement.

"Sounds like fun to me." Jirou grinned with Fumikage pulling out his phone. "Indeed just let me inform those who sired me where I shall be." Fumikage readily agreed as he typed on his phone that was soon joined by Kyoka and Izuku. "Good call my old man would be hounding the police to find me if I didn't let him know." Kyoka shuddered at the mere thought of her old man doing that.

She also left out that she would not be informing her dad that she would be hanging out with 3 guys. That's one melt down no one needed to see.

"Yeah and my apartment building would flood if I didn't let mom know." Izuku muttered as he sent his mother the message. "Oh so she has a water quirk?" Mezo asked and Izuku snorted. "Nope." He repelled smirking at their confused expressions just as they reached the front gate.

"Well than shall we be off?" Fumikage questioned as each got confirmation from their parents. "Not just yet." Kyoka answered before glancing at at the gate. "What do you say we get a quick picture?" She asked raising her phone. "You know a way to celebrate surviving our first day." Jirou suggested. "I'm game." Izuku shrugged walking over with Fumiakge and Mezo quickly joining them.

"Everyone ready?" Jirou asked getting nods from the boys as well as Dark Shadow." Well than everyone say 1A!" Kyoka said.

"1A!" They all said as the camera went off. Once the photo was taken everyone could see the photo. It showed Jirou giving a peace sign while standing besides Fumikage who had a small smirk on his face with his arms crossed as Dark Shadow emerged from Fumikage and floated behind him. Mezo stood behind Jriou some of his arms raised and giving a multi-mouthed grin while beside him Izuku gave a lazy grin. Behind them the UA gate and building stood proud.

"Nice, I'll send it to you guys later." Kyoka promised before stowing her phone away. "Sounds good but for now let's go paint the town red!" Izuku cheered fist raised in the air which was soon joined by the others.

"Yeah!"

Line break.

After the stressful morning the 4 teens had the following hours were a much needed relief. Relaxing while showing Mezo many of their favorite spots all the while joking and just enjoying themselves. It turned out that many of the stores they planned on visiting was frequently visited by at least one of the other 2. From Jirou's go to music store, Fumikage's favorite bookstore or the arcade Izuku's heads to the most Mezo was given a little taste of everything his new home had to offer.

One thing Mezo also appreciated was that unlike in the country side there were a lot more mutant types around and even better barely anyone gave them so much as a second look. True it wasn't perfect and he saw more than a couple of dirty looks getting sent towards unaware mutants and grumbling under their breathes. However the few times he did see someone look like they were going to start something. A hero or nearby law enforcement was always quick to swoop in and shut it down.

Now late in the afternoon the were were simply relaxing on a couple of park benches as the sunset behind them. "Well Shoji what do you think of our little squatting ground?" Kyoka asked the silver haired boy who grinned through a few of his mouths. "Can't complain if I'm being honest." He said getting smiles from the other teens. "Happy to hear it. Now why don't we-?"

Whatever Izuku was going to say next was cut off by a low rumbling that caused them to turn glance questionable at Izuku who was rubbing his stomach. "Actually how about we swing by Unknown?" Izuku asked with Fumikage and Kyoka who were both instantly on board.

"That sounds perfect." Jirou grinned as Fumikage nodded. "A worthy bounty to celebrate conquering our first trials in becoming heroes." The raven headed boy agreed with Shoji just getting more and more confused as the conversation went on. "Sorry but what exactly is Unknown?" He questioned causing the other 3 to grin.

"Oh just a hole in the wall."

Line break

'It...it really is a hole in the wall." Shoji looked at the literal hole in the wall with a door placed in the center of the hole. Despite his mask the look on his must have been obvious. "We know how it looks but trust you're going to love this place." Izuku promised the gray haired teen as he opened the door and allowed his 3 new friends into the place.

Once inside Mezu could see it was actually quite a well maintained place, as clean and maintained as any other restaurant. "Table for 4?" The hostess asked with a smile getting nods from the 3 who've been here before. As she lead them through the restaurant Mezo looked over and could see cultures from all over the world. Chinese, American, Itailan all walks of life could be seen. A few moments later the group was seated in a booth and looking over the menus.

'Even the menus are varied.' Mezu observed looking over all the different menu items. "Well Soji Welcome to unknown. The restaurant whose origin remains in mystery but as each new owner assimilated their ideas in the restaurant simply grew. So with the mystery of what's coming next along with the mystery of who created it in the first place Unknown was born' Izuku explained the history of the restaurant.

The group spent the next few minutes looking over the menus before their waiter came and took their orders. After that the group made small talk until eventually the topic came around to quirks.

"Alright Tokoyami spill it already. How'd you figure out Dark Shadow was a girl?" Kyoka questioned as the quirk herself emerged. "Not much to tell honestly. Not long after I manifested I soon found myself in Fumi's dreams. And every time I did it was always as a girl." The quirk explained with the bird haired teen nodding. "We're not sure if she's an alternate personality or was supposed to be a twin sister. All we do know is that Dark Shadow is sentient." Fumikage explained getting nods from the other teens.

"So what do you look like?" Shoji asked the quirk causing to Dark Shadow to stiffen but before she could say anything Fumikage answered for her. "She could pass as the younger sister of Samara from the old ring moves." Fumikage admitted getting laughs from his fellow teens while Dark Shadow. "You're going to regret that Fumi." The quirk vowed.

"Don't take it to personally DS, you're an awesome quirk." Jirou encouraged her causing the quirk to perk up. "I am pretty great aren't I?" She laughed. "I am pretty great aren't I?" She asked causing Fumikage to groan. 'I'll be dealing with that all night.' He thought annoyed before glancing towards Kyoka. "Your quirk is impressive as well Jirou. A simple yet every effective quirk." He praised causing the girl's face to redden as she twirled one of her jacks between her fingers.

"hehehe thanks." She giggled. "I actually got it from my mom, it's why I'm so familiar with it, she taught me everything she knew about it as well as discovered a couple of new aspects myself." She explained. "So a quirk built on a family legacy. Nice." Izuku smiled causing Kyoka to redden even more.

"Don't say it like that you dork." She muttered before turning to Shoji. "What about you Shoji, anything from your parents?" Kyoka asked while Mezo shook his head. "No my parent had an emitter and enhancer quirk. I'm the only one born like this." He finished his voice low as he gestured to himself, a dark look on his face as he said this. The other 3 noticed this and frowned in concern.

"Well this is what got you into the hero course." Kyoka reassured the taller teen. "Indeed though your appearance might not be standard your might and heart is that of a hero." Fumiakge added on as Izuku clapped his shoulder. "Things are different here Shoji. No one's gonna mess with you and get away with it. I promise." Izuku swore to the boy while Kyoka and Fumikage nodding in agreement.

Shoji looked all three of them in the eyes looking for any sign of deceit before finally giving a nod getting smiles from the other 3 before everyone turned to Izuku. "Alright Midoriya let's hear you try and explain that bullshit quirk of yours." Kyoka demanded as Izuku arched an eyebrow. "Alright but it requires a little story to fully understand it." Izuku warned. "Not like we've got anything else going on." Mezu pointed out. "Getting a shrug from Izuku. "Fair point." Izuku conceded before beginning his story.

Flashback

4 year old Izuku woke to the sun shining on his face. 'Did I forget to close the blinds last night?' He thought while opening his eyes. However instead of being in his room he awoke in the middle of a massive arena.

Quivering as fear flowed through his tiny body Izuku got shakily to his feet. 'W-where am I? Where's my mom?' He questioned looking around the empty for anyone else that could be there as more questions rang through his mind. Why was he here and who brought him here were at the forefront of his mind. However he had made it a few steps before a loud creaking caused him to jump in fear before turning and watching two doors slowly open leading to a darkened hall way.

It was obvious what  whoever brought him here wanted him to do and unfortunately the only other option Izuku could think of was remaining where he was and that could just end up making his captors mad. So very reluctantly Izuku headed for the door  into the hall way.

Fortunately the doors didn't close behind the child and as he walked torches lit themselves illuminating his way. As he walked he noticed  he was passing by many doors that were sealed shut. However at the end of the hall he could see one door open peering around Izuku tired to find any other path with none showing themselves.

With no other options Izuku entered the room with the young man's jaw dropping. The room turned out to be a massive grassland with mountains visible in the distance. Thunder clouds rumbling above with Lightning flashing every few seconds.

Sitting dead center where two massive statues of men that look like they could rival All Might in strength.

In a trance of these two men got closer and closer to the statues.Once he got close enough he noticed weapons in front of the statues. A halberd in front of the Chinese man while a hammer sat in front of the statue holding a hammer of the same design. Finally getting to the base of each statue with a name in front of each.

"Lu Bu." He muttered looking towards the first statue before glancing towards the other. "Thor."

And than as if somebody pushed play Izuku was watching the lives of both men on fast forward. Every trial, every struggle, every fight. Izuku bore witness to everything that happened up until the two men were facing each other down in the very arena Izuku woke up in. The fight ended in Lu Bu's death but Thor's memories ended as soon as he left the arena.

As the images ended the entire room was engulfed in a bright and intense light and when Izuku could see again he realized he was back in his bed with lightning sparking around him.

Flashback end

"It wasn't long after that when I discovered I was so much more stronger that I was before. I could move far quicker than anyone, summon the hammer and halberd I found. Basically-." Izuku was about to finish when Fumikage did it for him. "You gained the abilities and knowledge from the greatest hero in Chinese history as well as the god of thunder." He spoke incredulously with matching looks of disbelief on Kyoka's and Mezo.

"Yup and it didn't end there." Izuku continued on. "Every so often another door would open and I would gain the abilities of whoever was behind that door. Usually a human and a god." Izku finished his explanation.

"And just how many od you have at the moment?" Mezo questioned with Izuku smirking. "22." He reveled as his smirk widened. "Want to see the list?" He asked. "I don't think my curiosity would allow me to say no." Kyoka muttered as a portal opened above Izuku's hand and a note book dropped from it into his hand. "Take a look." Izuku offered opening it to the front page and letting them see the current list.

THe 3 teens and 1 quirk stared blankly at the list before up at Izuku. "So quick question. Would you even register a punch from All Might or would that just be a bug bite with a light breeze?" Kyoka questioned with Izuku chuckling. "Who's to say." Was all he said in response.

"Still though." Fumikage said looking up. "To have such power and legacies to live up to. A daunting trial. Perhaps even more so than becoming a hero." Fumikage admitted only for Izuku to chuckle. "Live up to? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. You're thinking to small Tokoyami. I'm not going to live up to anything." Izuku admitted before he clenched his fist and smirked in determination.

"I'm going to surpass them all." He declared. "Each of them is the top of their field and stand at the pinnacle of humanity and the gods. And I'll suprass them and anyone else who is in my head." Izuku promised taking the rest of the crew by surprise. "Surpass the gods?" Tokoyami gasped before clenching his fist and nodding. "Yes a goal we should all be striving for! Let us do it together!" He declared extending his hand which Izuku happily grasped.

"Eh I think I'll stick with becoming a hero." Kyoka smirked while fiddling with her straw. "Same not that interested in the gods to be honest." Mezo said agreeing with Kyoka getting disappointed looks from Izuku and Fumikage. "How disappointing." Izuku clicked his tongue while Fumikage nodded. "Truly disgraceful." Fumikage played along before chuckles echoed around the table right as the food arrived.

Mezo took in the delicious smell coming from his pasta before lifting his fork. However before he could take a bite he could feel himself being watched so looking up he saw that his 3 new friends were watching him expectedly. After a few moments it clicked what they were waiting for. Smirking he raised on his extra arms which formed a mouth which proceed to consume the pasta. A second mouth smirked as the other 3 grumbled.

The next few minutes were spent with them eating in a peaceful sleince with Fumikage eating fish, Izuku eating Katsudon and Kyoka enjoying her shrimp.

Ultimately it was Kyoka who broke the silence with a question that was lingering in the back of their minds. "So who do you think is getting cut?" She questioned. "Because my money is on ponytail, that robot guy and explosions for sure." She predicted getting nods from Fumikage and Mezo while Izuku let out an annoyed groan from Izuku.

"They do seem like the obvious picks. But I'm unsure about the rest. The worst they did was mindlessly go along with it." Mezo agreed. "It's mostly likely they'll remove some of the more outspoken ones while putting the others through hell when it comes to lessons for the first few weeks." Fumikage predicted.

"Well regardless of that we need to focus on staying in the hero course. Mr. Aizawa warned us that we're going to have to give this everything we've got. We've earned our spots now we just got to keep them while the others earn their's." Izuku reminded his new fiends who nodded in agreement equally as serious about remaining in the hero course and achieving their dreams.

Their celebration ended not long after that and after paying their bills and saying their goodbyes, the four headed off for their homes each determination burning in each of their hearts.

Line break.

"So we're all in agreement on what to do for class 1a?" Nezu asked his staff with their meeting running long due to the unique situation they were in due to class 1a. The R-rated hero Midnight interlocked her fingers together. "We're going to face a lot of backlash for this, both from the midnight and the hero commission. You know this right sir?" She questioned getting a nod from the unknown animal.

"I am well aware and I do not care." Nezu confirmed, "That kind of behavior is unacceptable for any hero course student, especially considering they denied the second chance that was offered to them." The principal reaffirmed getting a nod from the art teacher. "I still think it's a bit extreme. They are just kids after all. Couldn't we just put them probation or something " 13 said a sad tone in her voice from what was happening.

"Sadly that's not possible, not anymore." Nezu denied while looking towards the lone empty chair in the room. "Perhaps they can get accepted elsewhere but unfortunately for them their time at UA has come to an end." Nezu confirmed getting nods from the rest of the staff, their face's set in stone.

"Now is thee anything else we need to discuss?" He questioned only to get negatives all around. "We'll than Shota please follow me." He requested hoping out of his seat as Aizawa stood from his chair.

"We have some calls to make.

Line break.

Toshinori Yagi was cursed or at least that's how he felt as he sat alone in the hall of a hospital. Inside the room directly across from where he sat was one Mirio Togata as the boy's parent's wept over their son.

Their now deceased son.

They meet a little over a year ago after finally giving into Nighteye's request with the work study student he had taken in as a potential successor. And after meeting with young Togata, All might could admit the boy was truly impressive, ability wise as well as mentally. And after a few more meetings the 3 men sat down and explained the situation to the hero course student who without hesitation and a smile on his face accepted the offer.

It was rough at first, Mirio had slight problems adjusting to One For All and his limbs did threaten to break whenever he went over board. It also didn't help that Mirio's Permeation quirk was supercharged sitting him back in his training somewhat.

And when he started awakening the previous users' quirks well that was a whole new can of worms.

But still things were getting better Mirio was getting better and better and actually gaining notoriety and for the next 6 months All Might was starting to breath easier as a small bit of color retuned to All Might's gray world.

And that's when Mirio started to sick.

It was nothing noteworthy at first. A bloody nose here or a small fever there but it was nothing anyone really worried about. That is until he collapsed one day unexpectedly in class and was rushed to the hospital where he remained for the remainder of his days.

Doctors could offer no explanations for what was happening just that he was getting worse and worse as the days went on. It was only a few hours ago that All Might discovered the cause of it.

Mirio Togta's cause of death was old age.

In a journal left behind by the 4th user All Might learned that One For All came with a terrible side effect. One For All depletes the life force of any quirk user that inherits it as it devours the quirk into itself leaving only quirkiness individuals who can safely use the quirk.

All Might his heart full of dread and guilt rushed to the hospital in a desperate bid to get the quirk back and save the young man's life but he arrived to late and instead of a cheerful smile and greeting all that was left was the beep of a flatline and the sobbing of the young man's parents.

And that's how he was left with nothing. No successor and One For All gone, only embers remaining and that was only due to Mirio doing more hero work so he could take it easy as he prepared for his retirement.

So distraught in his thought it took him a while to notice his phone going off. At first he wanted to ignore it and continue to grieve in his own self-loathing but eventually once it was clear that it wasn't going to stop he decided to answer and to his surprise it was text message from Principal Nezu.

I was messaging to remind you that your first class was tomorrow but given recent events perhaps it would be best for you to take a few days off. Please let me know of your decision.

'Class?' Toshinori thought utterly lost for a moment before it clicked in his head. That's right he was a teacher at UA now! As a way to keep contributing to society and helping young heroes grow seemed liked a good idea. 'But do I still deserve to teach those kids?' He thought trying to figure out what to do.

A few minutes later he clenched his fist as he came to a decision. 'I'm not going to abandon those kids.' He decided. 'Principal Nezu was kind enough to offer me a job as well as help me get prepared for the year. I can't let them all down.' He decided.

For decades he protected the world with his fist and now it's time to protect a different way.

Line break.

The looks started almost as soon as they stepped on to the campus with the pointing and whispering started soon after. "Looks like news has already spread about the explosions." Mezo guessed though how that happened he had no idea. "How many do you think we'll be left?" Kyoka questioned. "At least 10." Fumikage answered. "I cant see them cutting more than half the class." The bird haired boy theorized as they entered the building and neared their room.

"Well we're about to find out." Izuku reminded them before they arrived at their classroom and opened the door.

Where only 4 desk sat.

The kids were quiet each taking in the sight before glancing at each other. The questions coming in droves. "Oh good you're all here. Guess we can get started early." Aizawa greet them as he emerged from under his desk in his sleeping back before standing up. As he neared the front of the room he saw that his students were still standing in the doorway.

"Well what are you waiting for? Come in already." Aizawa ordered and the 4 stumbled in with the door closing behind him. "Uh sir where are the other desk?" Kyoka questioned while Aizawa blinked lazily. "Why would there be a need for other desks when the class has only 4 students?" He questioned. "4 students what about the others?" Izuku questioned as Aizawa stretched.

"Didn't see any potential in them so they were expelled." Aizawa answered simply. "But that would mean." Mezo breathed out as Aizawa nodded. "That's correct. Izuku Midoriya, Fumikage Tokoyami, Mezo Shoji, Kyoka Jirou the four of you are this year's class 1a." He confirmed as an evil smirk cross his face.

"Try your best to survive."

To be continued.

And with that the first chapter of this new version is done and I'm extremely happy with it. More reactions and going into more depth which is missing from the first story I think.

And yes I changed Izuku's quirk in this. Here he has the powers from the characters from ROR, and naturally once new fights began more doors will unlock. Also I'll be adding powers to each fighter because well it's me.

And yes I will be including fighters from both Records of Ragnarok and Apocalypse of the gods.

As for the paring For Kyoka, Mezo and Fumikage I'm keeping them with who I had them with before. As for Izuku I think I'm going the Shiva route and going with 3 with Nejire being one of them.

I think that's it for now.

Till next time,

Bye.
