Chapter 9
Disclaimer: This has been inspired by Quirkless Unbound by Shadowhuntress and Zyla_SweetBean on Archive Of Our Own. I strongly recommend you read that before reading this. Some scenes and dialogue will be the same, but will take place mainly from OC's perspective. This is to answer the What If..? question: "What if Maddie and Tenko were childhood friends?" A few minor plot points will also be changed. MHA belongs to Kohei Horikoshi.
-------
"You want to introduce acrobatics now?" Aizawa asked incredulously. He, Nezu, and Toshinori were gathered for their weekly meeting to discuss Izuku's and Maddie's progress. Their therapy sessions with Hound Dog provided ample time to host them. Toshinori tilted his head at the man. "Is that a problem?" he inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"No," Aizawa answered. Damn, Toshinori thought. I really wanted to present that Powerpoint. He tuned back into the conversation as Aizawa continued. "It's usually covered by hero students of a higher level, and we're still trying to improve Izuku's endurance, strength, and fighting skills. Not to mention Maddie still has a lot to work on with her Quirk."
Toshinori used this moment to perk up. "I've been talking to my friend David Shield-"
"The David Shield? As in the inventor?"
Crap. Perhaps it was unconventional for an ordinary man like him to know someone so famous. "I met him through All Might," he quickly explained, mentally patting himself on the back for that save. "Anyway," he continued, "I told him about our students' issues with support gear and Quirk control, and he's working on a solution. However, both would have to increase their agility and combat skills."
Aizawa leaned back in his chair, thinking. "Huh," he said. "What is it?"
"For Izuku, some sort of mobility device with grappling hooks and pistons, I think? And for Maddie, a weapon that concentrates her power, making her Quirk easier to wield."
Aizawa's brow raised, knowing how weak that sounded. "You mean you don't know what it is?"
"David hasn't let me down yet!" Toshinori protested. "He's making Young Madeleine's sword as well."
"Easy, you two," Nezu interrupted, holding out his paws placatingly. "Considering the difficulties Izuku has had with finding a support weapon, as well as Maddie struggling with her Quirk, I don't see the harm in giving this a try. David Shield is considered a genius in his line of work. And, he has a Quirkless daughter."
Aizawa sighed, clearly losing this battle. Rubbing at the back of his neck, he said, "Fine. When's it getting here?"
"Two or three weeks, I think," Toshinori replied. It was the amount of time David said he needed to work out all the kinks. Aizawa's scowl deepened. "That's not a lot of time," he admitted wearily. "I'll get the problem children started on the basics. Should be a nice break from trying to find himself a weapon. Maddie might even take to it better."
Toshinori was thrilled as Aizawa left the meeting room, leaving him and Nezu by their lonesome. He hoped that Izuku wouldn't see this change as an insult, or worse, as them giving up on him. Izuku and Maddie both had wonderful attributes that he admired, but they still struggled with self-confidence and trusting others. They didn't seem like they wanted to be a burden, despite them being anything but. He would have to break this gently to Izuku later at home.
"Excuse me, Nezu, sir," he piped up. "Can I ask you a question?"
The principal set down the cup of tea he was sipping. "Asking questions is the foundation of learning, Yagi. Ask me anything."
"I know very little about the laws and practices surrounding the Quirkless," Toshinori said slowly, "but they seem very strict. I've been wondering: how do you plan on keeping the Commission from interfering with Izuku's and Maddie's goals?"
Nezu's eyes lit up. "I'm glad you asked!" he exclaimed jovially, his tail twitching. "Thankfully, I've researched how to do exactly that quite thoroughly. Like any laws, there are loopholes. However, due to the corrupt nature of this industry, there are far more than you might think." He leaned back in his seat. "Examples of these loopholes have to do with education and earning a steady income. The laws themselves were instilled to the Quirkless' detriment to strip away any autonomic power."
"That's disgusting," Yagi commented.
"But in Izuku's case it works to our advantage." Nezu's lips peeled away, revealing his sharp teeth. "We can allow Izuku to attend school and to work as an intern, as long as he doesn't receive a paycheck. We'd be breaking no laws."
"And Maddie?" Yagi questioned. "Isn't the entire country still looking for her?"
Nezu's teeth disappeared. "I will admit, that has been a challenge to figure out. However," he held up his paws, "although it would be difficult to conceal her efforts once she starts attending classes, it is not impossible. In the meantime, she will be building her image as a respectable future hero, so much so that the general populace will forget all about her past. At that point, any arrest would be met with extreme public backlash." He folded his paws over his belly. "The Commission would rather not tarnish their image so recklessly."
"That's genius," Yagi breathed. Nezu's style of heroism never ceased to amaze or unnerve him. He coughed into his fist. "I... I don't even know what else to say."
Nezu's black eyes shined. "There is no need," he assured. "I have plenty of defenses against lawsuits that will no doubt pop up in the future. If anyone wants to dispute Izuku or Maddie becoming a hero, they will have to risk exposing this monstrous system for what it is." He smiled pleasantly. "So far, you've been the kind of guardian that Izuku and Maddie need, so keep up the good work."
This reminded Yagi of something else he had wanted to talk about, blushing slightly at the praise. "Can this work for other Quirkless cases? Like, the ones in the facilities?"
Nezu tilted his head. "Is there someone you have in mind?"
"Izuku's mentioned others like him, younger, that are still trapped in the facility where he came from. Is there any way to get them out?"
"Has he asked you directly about this?"
"No, not really." Yagi paused momentarily, keeping down a globule of blood building in his chest. "But he's hinted at it on several occasions."
Nezu hummed. "I believe I know who you are referring to." He met Toshinori's gaze with another smile. "It might take time considering the director of this facility, but I'll see what I can do."
"Excellent. Thank you." Toshinori bowed his head. Lifting it again, he addressed his next topic. "And what about... anything on Maddie?" he asked tentatively. "Were you able to uncover anything else?"
"Nothing about the details of her imprisonment," Nezu answered apologetically. "But, with some carefully placed Trojan horses, I was able to find when this operation started and who authorized it."
Toshinori leaned forward, eager. Nezu sighed, as if preparing to disappoint him. "Of course, the person in question is a high-ranking government official in the United States. They have been overseeing this practice for the better part of two decades."
Yagi's fists clenched, chomping at the bit to know who to direct his anger towards. "Who is it?" he asked.
Nezu pointedly looked him in the eye and said, "The Secretary of State, Thaddeus Ross."
-------
"So... what is all this?" Aizawa scratched absentmindedly at his stubble, perusing the crates that had come in that morning. Yagi scrambled around the wooden boxes, like a giddy little kid. Maddie had known him long enough to tell when he got excited. But she was too. After all these weeks of training and designing indicated that this could only be the support gear Toshinori had promised.
"I wish I knew," Aizawa admitted to Izuku's curious inquiry. Inching closer, Maddie could spot Yagi pulling something from one of the boxes, an object that seemed made out of numerous wires and belts. It looked like one of those harnesses used for rock climbing.
"My friend and his daughter designed this" Toshinori explained, pulling out what looked like a smaller version of one of those oxygen tanks in hospitals. Several more pieces followed it, confusing both trainees further. Aizawa looked over it with a furrowed brow before attempting to enlighten them. "This... contraption," he said slowly, "is designed to apply those acrobatic skills we've been working on. If it works as well as we hope, it could end up being your support gear."
"I've never seen anything like it," Izuku said dubiously, the faintest sparkle twinkling in his eye. Maddie could tell he was already fascinated. She was too, but her attention was soon drawn to the other delivery; a wooden crate much larger than where Izuku's support gear came from. Grabbing a crowbar provided with the delivery, she pried open the lid, eager to see what Yagi's friend had come up with.
The first thing she noticed was the sword. It was made of black steel, exactly in the design she had drawn to the best of her ability. Toshinori had told her that his friend's daughter recognized it as something from an old anime. She didn't watch that much anime growing up, but the idea may have come from one of those. She gave it a few test swings, listening to the sound it made as it sliced through the air. It felt like it could cut through anything. Feeling a thrill of satisfaction, she set it aside to evaluate the other piece of equipment that came with it.
At first, she had no idea what she was looking at. It looked like some sort of gun, but the thing was the size of a small cannon. Her befuddlement only grew. "This thing is massive!" she exclaimed, reaching out to touch it. It was made from the same black steel as the sword, and she had no doubt it would be just as durable. While Izuku gushed about something called the "Ultramobile" while Yagi proceeded to hack up more blood, she reached underneath the monstrosity to try and lift it from its box. She only got it halfway out before its full weight leaned against her heavily, and she stumbled.
"I'd be careful with that if I were you." Aizawa must have noticed her struggling due to his sudden presence beside her. His eyes roved over the weapon, looking exactly as she felt. "This is meant to help you control your Quirk on the battlefield. Though, for the life of me I can't imagine how someone's supposed to use that thing."
Maddie huffed under the strain. "It's okay," she assured, shifting around so she could hoist the rest of the weapon out and into her hands. "It's not that heavy. I'll just have to get used to it." Resting what she could only assume to be the business side of this weapon on the floor, she looked down at the opposite end, noticing a hand-sized hole. Peering inside, she could make out a trigger. Huh. So, it is a gun after all.
Aizawa had gone back to curling up in his sleeping bag, watching his two problem children regard their new toys with a healthy amount of curious awe. "I'm assuming that the ammo for that thing is your Quirk," he called to the girl. He shrugged. "But I have no idea. Gonna have to ask Yagi about that one."
Maddie wasn't really paying attention, tentatively sliding her hand inside the massive contraption. Bracing herself, she attempted to lift it. Nothing happened. Another try, this time with more strength added, she managed to get it off the ground. The weight was still something she was getting used to, stumbling around as she tried to regain her balance. It proved to be too much for her as the weapon slipped from her grasp. She huffed indignantly, psyching herself up for another attempt.
Yagi and Aizawa were busy discussing the mechanics of her and Izuku's support gear when she heard a pssshhhh sound, like air that had been compressed being released. She turned around just in time to see the greenette colliding face-first with the wall, the jets on his support gear spewing steam. He must have tested it out. Both Aizawa and Yagi heard the impact, both crying out at the sight. However, after sliding comically to the floor, Izuku managed to pick himself up. "That. Was. Awesome," he declared past the blood streaming from his nose over his lips. Maddie couldn't help but burst out laughing. It was worth the eyeroll she earned from Aizawa.
Composing herself, she turned her focus back to her own weapon. Time for her own test run. Prepared for its weight now, she lifted the weapon up, sinking to one knee so it could rest on it. It felt weird, like she was a sniper perched at the top of a hill. She reached inside the contraption again, delicately placing her finger over the trigger. Her ammo was her Quirk, huh? She had no idea what that really meant, but she took a deep breath and concentrated. Channeling her power, she noticed the inner workings lighting up with a white glow, mechanisms inside whirring and humming. The whole thing vibrated minutely, and she could barely contain an excited gasp. This was soaking up her power like a sponge, coagulating it into a concentrated focal point. Giddiness rushing through her, she took aim at the far wall, her tongue sticking out from the effort. With barely contained glee, she allowed her Quirk to build itself up inside the machine before pulling the trigger, hard.
She did not account for the recoil. One moment she was upright and aiming, the next she was thrown violently onto her back, the weapon flying from her hands. In the distance, she could hear a mild explosion, and the absence of tumbling rocks confirmed that she had not caused any massive damage. She blinked dumbly up at the ceiling before a wide smile stretched across her face. "Holy shit," she gasped, a chuckle escaping along with it. Above and behind her, she could hear Izuku's snicker at her folly. "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up," she said half-heartedly. "Not like your experiment went any better."
Her vision was suddenly filled with the stern visage of Aizawa. He looked like he wanted to lecture her, but her lackadaisical grin made him sigh instead. He pinched the bridge of his nose as both problem children began busting their guts. What was he going to do with these two?
-------
Izuku was the only one who ended up sporting any visible injuries, a mottled bruise forming on his nose. There was just a slight twinge in her shoulder and mild whiplash that Maddie had to deal with, which was fine. She would live. Over a video call, a bearded man with blond hair and glasses, took one look at them before sighing. "Didn't you read the card I posted on the shipping container? It said to call me before opening it."
Yagi rubbed at the back of his neck sheepishly. "Whoops," he chuckled nervously. "Guess I forgot. Though, I can't really say I saw anything like that either."
"You probably forgot it, Dad." A new voice, that of a young woman who looked to be Maddie's age, appeared in the frame. She looked like the spitting image of the other man. So, this must be his daughter then. "You haven't been getting much sleep lately, so I'm sure it slipped your mind."
"You're probably right," David groaned, his daughter shaking her head at him and laughing. She didn't even see the collar until Izuku pointed it out. "You're Quirkless," he breathed. The young woman stopped dead in her tracks, a hand wandering up to the offending metal circling her neck. Maddie's brow furrowed slightly at the sight of it. If this person was the daughter of a genius, she should've qualified for Assisted Living. Maybe her father hadn't wanted that for her either, getting her out before given the chance. She couldn't blame him, really. She had to go through the exact same thing before her IQ test. The collar had come off after she qualified, replaced with an identification card that marked her as such, wearing it around her neck at the end of a lanyard. She was told that she had to keep this on her person at all times if she wanted to go to school and stay with her parents. The fear of being separated from her family to live in an unfamiliar place was enough to make sure she never lost it. But at this point, she would take a collar over a straitjacket any day.
The two Quirkless individuals had gone to awkwardly staring at each other. Maddie cleared her throat, breaking the trance they seemed to be under. She lifted her hand from where it had been rubbing her shoulder, holding it up in a greeting. "Hello," she said. "You're the one who made all this right?" She gestured to their support equipment set down behind them. "Melissa, was it? I have a few questions."
The blonde girl, Melissa, beamed brightly, eager to move on from this perturbing subject. "Yes, of course!" she exclaimed. "Though, I can't take all the credit. Dad and I had a lot of things to figure out on our own."
Maddie hummed. "Still, it's cool." She gave Melissa a disarming smile. "Toshi's told me all about you. You're really as smart as he says."
Melissa blushed profusely. "Oh please, you don't have to be so modest," she gushed. Maddie felt warm inside. She liked it when other people were happy. Melissa suddenly directed her attention towards her father, eyes narrowing. "But why didn't you tell me this equipment was for a Quirkless person? I could've made the necessary modifications."
"Didn't I tell you?" This made David's daughter huff in good-natured exasperation. "You most certainly did not! I think I would've remembered something like that."
They both laughed, Yagi taking this as an opportunity to properly introduce them both. He explained both of their situations to the father and daughter duo. "Due to certain circumstances, I'm looking after them while they're training to be heroes."
Maddie couldn't help but blush at the mention that she was going to become a hero. It all seemed like a dream. Melissa's head tilted curiously to the side. "A hero?" she questioned. Even among the Quirkless, the notion was unheard of. But she didn't appear to be uncertain. She seemed excited. Izuku nodded firmly. "I'm going to be the first Quirkless hero."
Melissa squealed in delight. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! The first Quirkless hero, using my support gear!" She looked as though she might explode. "You're gonna need a costume and so many updates!"
"Slow down!" David admonished. "We don't even know if they're interested yet."
"I'd love it!" Izuku agreed at the same time Maddie said, "Sounds great!" The winged girl found that she liked Melissa, a lot actually. She was glad that she was able to find a friend like her. The blonde winked at them. "Then it's settled."
They then proceeded to launch into a discussion about their support equipment. Like Aizawa had deduced, Maddie's weapon used her Quirk as its ammunition, Melissa explaining how pain-staking it was to design a core to hold her level of power. "Sorry that it's so big," she remarked offhandedly. "But I came up with the design from a different old anime. It was a lot more obscure than it was for the 3DS gear, but I recognized the gun-and-sword pair. It's called the cannon-gun."
Maddie refrained from snorting. "Well, that certainly fits," she commented. "It is kinda heavy, but I'll figure it out. I'm sure with practice I'll get better at handling it."
"Exactly," David chimed in. "Its appearance makes it seem deceptively unwieldy. However, we've modeled it into something that fits you and your Quirk. Before long, it'll feel like a second skin." He broke out into a smile again. "I'm confident that learning to use that and the sword in combat will make you a force to be reckoned with."
Now it was Maddie's turn to blush at the praise. She mumbled a small "Thank you," something that David was able to hear. He merely beamed and reciprocated in kind. Izuku glanced at her with vibrating excitement, clearly looking forward to how she would look in action. Her gut twisted, but this time, it was a pleasant feeling.
-------
"So, these are the kids, huh?"
She didn't get a chance to react as two yellow boots planted themselves on the side of her head, after having launched from Izuku's chest. Her heart picked up its pace, ready to revert into survival mode. However, the attack was unprecedented, so it sent her crashing to the floor.
Rubbing at her head, she looked up to see who had just kicked her. To her surprise, an old man as short as Recovery Girl landed in front of her from where he launched from her head. He turned around to gaze down at her, an air of smugness about him. "They're about as ferocious as newborn puppies," he remarked. "How old even are you, like, ten?"
A spark of anger stirred in her gut at the insult. Yagi rushed up at the display occurring, holding out his hands placatingly. He looked afraid. "Please sir, you don't have to do that."
The man huffed. "Why not?" It was at that moment that Maddie remembered how to move, lunging from the floor to pound this pipsqueak of a person into the ground. Normally, she wouldn't be this aggressive towards the elderly, but she could tell this was no ordinary old man. He had experience. And the way he was looking down on her was pissing her off.
The man cackled as he jumped away, steam coming out of the bottom of his boots. "Now that's more like it!" Maddie didn't say anything, standing up from where the man had just been standing, glaring. The steam must have been from his Quirk.
She sensed Izuku running up beside her, huffing. Vaguely, she heard Yagi ask, "Are you alright, you two?"
"Fine," Izuku growled.
"Never better," Maddie said bluntly, rolling her shoulders and cracking her knuckles. Yagi swallowed at her ire, not sure who to be more afraid of now.
"Yagi," Aizawa interrupted. "Who is this?" Though he looked as casual as he normally did, his tense arms and sharp tone suggested he was ready for a fight. Maddie would've been flattered, but she was too fixated on the snarky old man.
"What?" the man barked, turning on Toshinori. "You didn't tell them I was coming?!"
"You didn't tell me when you were coming, sir," the blond defended, but even he seemed to realize how weak it was. The man scoffed under his breath. "And I bet you were too chicken to say anything."
Judging by the way Yagi deflated, he was right. Maddie could feel the indignation coming off of Izuku next to her. She was feeling the same thing, but for a different reason. The way this bastard derisively snipped at everyone he talked to reminded her of how people treated her back when she was Quirkless. Or even worse, of the staff from the experimental facility, especially the doctor. She had vowed that she would kill everyone in that wretched place that had hurt her and the others. Most merely laughed in her face as they continued to watch her writhe and scream. The sound of it haunted her nightmares sometimes.
"Hey!" Izuku piped up. "You don't get to talk to him that way! You don't have that right!"
The man raised an eyebrow at them condescendingly. For the moment, she had been keeping quiet so as not to be riled up into doing something she would regret. But that look, like with Izuku, was the last straw. Moving at the same time, they maneuvered to try and flank him, working as a team. It was something that they had recently been working on, and she was quite proud of their progress. She lined herself up, ready to close in on the man in tandem with Izuku to take him down.
"Enough!" Something strong and binding wrapped around her middle, pinning her arms to her sides. Suddenly, she was back in the facility, six feet underground, bound in that damned straitjacket. But as quickly as it had come it was gone, and it had taken her a moment to realize that it had been Aizawa's capture weapon, and he had been the one who shouted. She found herself dragged back to the sidelines next to Yagi, Izuku plopped down right alongside her.
The underground hero stood amongst all four of them, eyes flashing red, his hackles raised. "I won't tolerate any fighting in my classroom." He turned his withering glare to Toshinori, who flinched. "Explain who this is, Yagi. Now."
While tucking the two of them in his arms, Toshinori trembled slightly. "This is my old teacher," he explained. "He's an expert in agility. I reached out to him about a week ago to discuss Maddie's and Izuku's training."
"That's right," the man smirked. "Call me Gran Torino."
-------
Maddie wasn't sure if this could be considered hell or not. While Gran Torino's first impression had not been ideal, she soon came to realize that this was just his teaching style. Didn't mean she had to like it.
Twice a week, she and Izuku would be subject to the old man's harsh training. The torrent would leave her more than her fair share of bruises. She got frustrated easily, and she knew Izuku was feeling the same. The verbal abuse wasn't helping matters either.
"Seriously?! Yagi dragged me out of retirement for this?!" This came after a particularly dizzying flurry of attacks, somehow managing not to get hit by either one of them. Maddie had a snarky comeback to that, but she pushed it down. Instead, she groaned, pulling herself to her knees after being knocked to the ground for the umpteenth time. "I know you can do better than that!"
Maddie hissed through her teeth. "He's running circles around us," she snarled. Izuku sat up from beside her, catching his breath after the recent kick to the ribs. "I know," he growled, frustration keeping him from saying more. The older girl glared daggers at the old man. "I don't get it," she complained. "None of our usual tactics are working."
Despite this, they still tried, and slowly but surely, Maddie could actually start to see some progress. She couldn't help but like Gran, even though his teaching methods were a bit to be desired. "I've had a... rough history with him," Yagi had explained to them. "He's only beating you down to sharpen your edges."
"That's great and all, but I feel like my edges have been sharpened enough." She had only said that because of the foul mood she was in, but she instantly recognized her mistake when both Izuku and Yagi grew quiet. She immediately apologized, assuring she didn't mean it as an accusation or anything. Yagi seemed to believe her, and she was relieved.
Torino did not just teach combat skills, however. After revealing his Quirk, she found that she could emulate how he moved in the air, which was still something she was struggling with, especially with the cannon-gun. His tips were invaluable for Izuku when it came to maneuvering with the 3DS gear. It seemed both would get important insight on how to best move in the air.
"Don't just keep doing the same thing over and over again!" he barked. "Be unique! Be creative! Don't let them predict your next move."
When she first trained with him with her Quirk, she wasn't able to keep up with him, even if she had the cannon-gun. Trying to find a good vantage point for a clear shot was next to impossible. Who knew it would be difficult to hit a moving target? She had exerted herself enough already lugging the huge thing around. Gran had come up to her while she was panting and sweating, yanking the weapon around while she was still holding it.
"You're not compensating for the weight," he pointed out. "Strength and speed alone can only get you so far. Having agility will help you control your balance enough so that it moves with you, instead of you moving with it." He let go and stepped back, pointing at both of them in turn. "You both have close-range combat weapons, with the exception of one of you being able to switch to long-range. Either way, you'll have to learn to engage closely with your opponents while still maintaining maneuverability."
Maddie understood this and took it to heart. Over the coming weeks, using the cannon-gun became more natural. Using it in tandem with the sword was coming along swimmingly as well. She would only use the sword if the situation called for it, however. For now, her favorite thing was dashing about, flipping in the air to line up an otherwise improbable shot. However, it may still take her years for it to become instinctual.
"Not bad, puppies," Torino grumbled as Izuku managed to stick a good landing while Maddie was able to nail her target this time. "I think we can promote you two from 'flightless birds' to 'baby-birds-without-their-feathers-or-anything-else-close-to-flying.'"
"Wouldn't that make you 'withered old bird?'" Izuku remarked before slapping his hand over his mouth. Maddie guffawed loudly, uncaring about what the old man's reaction might be. The boy flushed in embarrassment at the sound.
Instead, Gran merely chortled. "Probably," he agreed. "I remember an old friend of mine said something similar. You puppies remind me of her in some ways."
"I do?" Izuku inquired, tilting his head.
"Oh yeah?" Maddie said at the same time, raising an eyebrow. Torino chuckled at their reaction, stretching and popping his joints. Both had to suppress a wince from the sound. "Her name was Nana Shimura," he explained, sighing. "She had a flying Quirk like me, and she was the type of person to make people laugh. We worked together a lot back in the day. She was actually Toshinori's teacher before I took up the mantle. He had to get that stupid smile of his from somewhere."
Maddie frowned, wanting to ask the implications of this. But she refrained. Torino glanced at the both of them with something like wistfulness in his eyes. "I think she would've liked you two." The use of the past tense confirmed what she thought. She felt for the old man, and Toshinori. Their blond caretaker had never mentioned someone by the name of Nana Shimura before, but he had shared that he had lost someone like a mother to him a long time ago. Was that who he meant? As someone who lost her own family, she could connect on a deep level with that.
"So," Torino chimed in, sitting down on one of the nearby benches of the bleachers to cross his hands over his cane. "Which one of you is Toshi planning to give One For All to, anyway?"
-------
Author's Note: In which Aizawa adopts two problem children for the price of one. And Gran Torino finally makes his appearance. This is also when a bit of the MCU is going to collide with this AU. Personally, if the world of MHA were the distant future of a superhero comic or cinematic universe, it would be the DCU, which some elements will come into play around Season 4. But we're a long ways away from that. Also, brownie points to whoever guess which anime Maddie's weapons are based off of.
I just barely have enough time to get this posted. I have to leave for my flight in about fifteen minutes. Y'all have a happy Thanksgiving!
Praise is appreciated and constructive criticism is encouraged.
See you next time!
