Deck Upgrades

Were you in heaven or is this hell? There was no ground, no way of knowing where you are. It was only darkness. An endless pit of nothingness.

"Finally! We can finally start the story!" A weird looking being, shape of a star, appears out of the darkness, the only light source here "Now that your here, let's start with introductions. Hi! My name is Cappy!"

It was excited. Too excited..

"..(Y/N).."

With the snap of its starry nub you find your plop down onto a cushion. The void gone yet now stuck in some living room. Cappy shuffling cards into separate decks. Smiling and humming a happy go lucky tune.

"I-I hate to be rude but, well, what are you exactly?"

Cappy spread the first deck, seven red card face down before you, easily answering your questions "I'm a starian! A galatian species of other worldly time, space, and dimensions. I'm also the care taker and supervisor of your world a.k.a Arcane!"

A small 'oh..?' left you. Now eyeing the blue, red, and green deck of cards laying flat before you. Face down and unknown to what each held.

"Now than, pick one card from each color deck. This way, I can send you back with a clean slate for a second chance in life. But I will warn you that the choices you pick today will determine your future. The world of Arcane is pretty but with a heavy cost."

Red, blue, and green cards. A choice unknown that will determine everything by every fiber of your being...

"....can I not do this? I-I have people to go back to. A family waiting for me-"

"Their are all dead."

No..

"You're sacrifice wasn't enough to save them all but it gave Powder time to do what she was made to do. When your cards are selected, I will send you back to the present time. Only, well, with a clean memory slate and upgrades."

"So....they will remember me but I won't know who they are? That's just cruel.."

Cappy nods, sipping a mug of hot coca he summoned, adding a little more too "It's not as cruel though. You'll have me! Your best friend Cappy!"

The cards were now forced closer to you, demanding to be picked up and chosen.

"Go on, pick a card."

You can't believe this. Your family is dead, your dead, and now have a chance to go back only to forget everything and everyone you ever known. How lucky you are but so curse at the same exact time..

Three separate colored cards have been chosen. The sixth red card, first green card, and third blue card. All remaining cards gone with a snap of a finger. The three cards chosen now on the table. Cappy floats over to flip each one starting from the right.

The blue card was flipped first. Revealing a girl with green cloths on, black hair, and looks to be summoning and throwing chunks of earth like it were mere toys.

The next card was flipped, green turned to reveal a family of blue hair and looks to be rich and fruitful.

And finally, the red card was flipped last. It was a rather interesting card reveal. There was a large snake starring into the eyes of a crow entangled in deaths grip. Both starring at one and other for such a long time. Trapped but confined.

"Draw another card."

"Huh?"

"Draw." A new set of cards appear, all black with gold lines, unknown to what each held "Another card."

There were only three. Doing the inni mini mo trick you pick the second card. Cappy takes it and flips it.

The black card held an image of strong, tall, woman with scares adorned her body. She worn red outfits and armor as if she was going to war. Behind the tall woman warrior was another beautiful woman. A more rich etheral elegance type of woman. Gold make up, paint, and cloths that can not out shine her beauty.

"I'm going to explain each card though your not going to remember anything but me." Cappy states, sorting the cards in a line, starting with red "This red card is what type of relationship you will have with those around you, this blue card is the source of power you will possess in your next life which you should trend carefully, this green card is your new adoptive family once I send you on your way, and finally this black card. Maann....you lucky little sucker."

Your confused, staring at Cappy with no clue what he meant "Huh? Lucky? What dose that mean?"

Cappy shrugs his starry shoulders "You'll see for yourself give it time." before one nub lands on your temple, life from your eyes drained empty "Now hush, it's time for me to work my magic hehe.."

That whole time Cappy spent creating your new life. Taking away all you've cherished just to send you back to live a double life style.

Mother was very displeased with Caitlyn, choosing a job so reckless and full of potential dangers, somewhat wish she chose the path her adopted child chose. Maybe the path Jayce chosen to which had many trial and errors, but prevailed in lending a massive hand of evolution to a new life. Not her child but sees him as one.

Today was after all Progress Day. An important vital event to show how far everyone has come from childhood to now. Within the city of progress and futures ahead.

"(Y/N)? Oh, where did that girl go now?" Mother tried to locate her second older daughter, only to stumble upon Caitlyn dressed in her enforcers uniform, her smile bright and proud "Caitlyn have you seen (Y/N) anywhere? I haven't seen her this morning for breakfast or brunch.."

She in fact didn't know, shaking her head as she thinks, snapping her fingers at an idea "Have you asked dad? They both seem to be very close ma."

"I did! And not even he knows where she went!"

Caitlyn thinks again, pacing back and forth, just to stop and look out her patio. Her mother follows with every click of her high heels. Soon opens the patio doors to look around. Caitlyn finds the missing Kirammen on their knees, in gardening cloths, planting sprouted seedlings into her mini garden.

"Found her."

"(Y/N)! I have been searching for you for hours now, you must be ready within forty-eight minutes to depart young lady!"

Your sweaty (Skin/C) face was stained with very little amount of dirt, your large mysterious scar faint but visible to those around you. The sun reflects off your complexion and as your (E/C) eyes were so calm, warm, and welcoming. Caitlyn smiled as you plant the last seedling before watering every one of them. Mother ran inside just as you finished, wave at Caitlyn as you've came close to her patio.

"Caitlyn you look so good!"

She scoffs, looking down at your gardening apron with a teasing tone of voice "And you look like a trouble maker. Now come on, you know how important today is no?"

Of course you knew! Today was also a good day with your flower business, just imagine how many couples and children would be there. Buying your passion to treat a love one or perpares a decoration to remember. It will be a good day most definitely.

Caitlyn retreats back inside as mother came out to pull you inside, father amused at your little gardening antics, before mother push you into the bathroom as she chose your cloths. Getting in and out of the shower was easy but the hair part was hard to decide with the cloths mother left on your bed. A grey cloud white silk gown with a (F/C) lace.

"Cappy? Are you busy right now?"

That star appears, eager and happy to help, floats around you countlessly "Wow! Looking good (Y/N)! What you need help for?"

You point at your hair and make up. Cappy understood and claps his starry nubs together. He kept doing it till the sixth try. Highly approves with with the half bun braid hair style, adding a large (F/Flower) to it, as well as traditional no makeup. Your just as beautiful the way you are.

"(Y/N)! We leave in three minutes!" Father shouts, now slipping on shoes as Cappy hands you a bag with things you'll need for today.

"Bye! Have a nice day!"

His little wave made you giggle, opening the door as you wave back "Thank you Cappy and I will!" before both depart their own ways.

Caitlyn crossed her arms at what her mother requested of her. To her own enforcer officer colleagues. Mother would not let her do what she loves and is now kept close by to keep her out of trouble. Caitlyn fixed her sour mood upon your arrival to the carriage, hopping in to sit beside her with childish glee.

Father smiles, adoring his children "Alright then, let's go young chap!"

The butler did just that. Each of the Kirammens depart there estate towards the swarming crowds of Progress Day. Each member thrilled as one was not, the ride long yet full of peace.
