Nova POV

Working in the salon had been tricky today. I had found it difficult to keep the smile from my and though from the way my sister kept looking at told me she knew something going on I just didn't want to say.

I wasn't ready to share my happiness with the world. It was brand new and Damian and I were in this little cocoon of bliss and I wanted to stay there just a little bit longer.

The regulars had also noticed a change and weren't shy with their questions either. So far I had been successful at not giving anything away.

I had had several messages over the day from Damian saying he missed me, that he loved me and couldn't wait to see me when I got off work each one making me smile bigger than the last.

"Alright goof grin spill" my sister says changing the door sign from open to closed signalling the start of the lunch break.

"Spill what?" I ask putting my stuff away.

"You've been miserable ever since you came back here and today it's like you are walking on air" she says "you haven't stopped smiling all day and I even heard you humming so come on...............what's made my baby sister so happy?"

"All in due time" I smile "I just want to keep it to myself a little while longer"

"Well what ever it is, I just want to say it's good to see you smiling again" she smiles

Just then there is a gentle tap on the window and turn to see Damian stood outside holding a large bouquet of red roses. I look over at my sister who is glued to the spot eyes wide and jaw on the floor.

Laughing I walk over to the door and let him in.

"Hey tinkerbell, these are for you" he smiles

"Hey big man, thank you they are beautiful" I smile "what's the occasion"

"No occasion I just wanted to" he says wrapping me up in his arms and kissing me softly

"Well thank you" I say "well since you're hear you may as well meet my sister Eve" I say turning to find her in the exact same position face unchanged

"Eve" I say waving my hand in front of her face "Eve!" I say again snapping my fingers and she reacts like she has suddenly woken up.

"Huh? What?" She says and I hear Damian chuckling behind me

"Eva I'd like you to meet Damian" I say "Damian this is my sister Eve"

"Nice to meet you Eve" he smiles offering her his hand

"Yeah you too" she says shaking his hand never taking her eyes off his face "can I uh.............can I get you something to drink or a hair cut perhaps?" She asks

"I'm good thank you and Nova just gave me a hair cut but I will sure to swing by next time I need one" he says and my sister giggles "I've got to go but I'll see you tonight, I have a suprise planned for you" he says pecking my lips before leaving.

"Holy fucking shit!" My sister gasps like she's just come back into the room "that was........and he.........and you"

"Yes that was Damian Priest" I laugh "and yes he kissed me and yes I'm with him"

"No wonder you are smiling like a Cheshire cat" she says "I thought he was hot before but in the flesh..........holy crap"

"You have no idea" I laugh

"I need details and you are going to fill me in over lunch" she says dragging me into the back of the salon "leave nothing out"

Damian POV

I gaze nervously around the room that I had gotten set up for when Nova got home. I had wanted to do something romantic for her and I was confident that I had got it spot on.

The fire is crackling away, the room is dimly lit by candles and there were several more bunches of roses to go with the one I gave her this afternoon.

I had even cooked us a nice meal to enjoy by the fire all I need was my girl to get home and the evening would be complete.

I put the finishing touches on the meal just as the front door opens

"I'm home big man" she calls out

"In here tinkerbell" I call out

"You really stunned my sister I've never................wow" she says gazing around the room "Damian this is..................I can't..............oh my gosh"

"Told you I had a suprise for you" I smile wrapping my arms around her "I wanted to do something romantic for you. We have candlelight, and I've prepared us a meal that we can eat by the fire"

"I can't believe you did all this for me" she says wrapping her arms around my neck "I love you"

"I love you too" I smile "I wanted to test out the waters you know. I don't know what you like romance wise so I decided to suprise you with this and I'm guessing you like it"

"Like it...............Damian I love it" she smiles "now one has ever done anything like this for me before"

"Then I will make sure I do this more often" I say "now you got get yourself ready, slip into something more comfortable and I will plate up dinner. Then you and me are going to have a nice romantic evening together"

"I won't be long" she smiles "you are incredible Damian Priest" she says rising up on her toes to kiss me.

I watch her head up the stairs and i head to the kitchen to get things ready. Her happiness had made me relax instantly and it felt good to know that I could things like this and she would appreciate it.

It was nice to not be chastised for being ridiculous, over the top and unnecessary and to have some one who appreciates my romantic side.
