EURY PORTER’S POV

A/N: This chapter has some lemony scenes, I guess. Underage drinking and Profanity.

Warning: This chapter is worse than chapter 4,part one. It's descriptive and yeah.

I walked into Fern’s home, it was pretty modern looking. Neat, it feels nice to not have a closet the size of a bedroom for once. She gave me a tour of the house and at the end,she looked at me. I smiled, awkwardly at her. She grabbed my shoulders.

"My parents don’t know, don’t say anything about it." She said.

I nodded, she grabbed my arm and took me downstairs. I was greeted by her mom and dad.

“Ah,hello Eury, I didn’t know you were coming here!” Fern’s mom said.

“Aha..well actually..” I said, looking down at my feet,ashamed. “I was...disowned..”

There was an awkward silence, I felt myself start to shake a little. They think you’re pathetic. Besides, maybe they’ll kill you in your sleep.

“I-I’m not asking to be adopted, I just need a place to stay until I find a job and manage some apartment, even on the west side.” I said.

“Oh Eury, that’s a shame, but of course we’ll let you stay here!” Fern’s mom said.

“Ah, can I ask why you so suddenly got disowned?” Her father interjected.

“Uhh..well, I broke a couch and was transported to the hospital for alcohol poisoning.” Eury mumbled.

“Oh wow..underage drinking...I mean, that’s pretty ridiculous..but that’s a bit of an overreaction.” Her father mumbled. “I didn’t take you for the rebellious type, at least Fern didn’t get caught up in it.” I nodded,awkwardly.

“Well, join us for dinner!” Her mom said.

“Umm, okay.” I said.

We sat down at the dinner table, I ate in silence. I felt pangs of shame and guilt and fear. Ah jeez...could it be that my schizophrenia is acting up again..I mean it last time I went to therapy 6 years ago I…..The seizure… I mentally face-palmed. Fun.

I offered to do the dishes, but her mom insisted I go rest. I went upstairs into Fern’s room and laid down. I left all my clothes at the Porter’s home.. I sighed,dozing off in my hoodie.

I woke up, Fern was asleep,hugging me. We have to get to school.. I squirmed, trying to free myself from her grip. I poked her,repeatedly. She only mumbled and sighed. I poked her side and she jolted up.

“I’M UP!” She yelled. I flinched, but nodded,getting off.

“You aren’t wearing that...are you?” Fern asked.

“Uh, I don’t have other clothes..” I mumbled.

She tossed me a blue and yellow varsity jacket with a purple T-shirt, along with khakis.

“You can have my reject clothes.” Fern said. I shrugged and went to change in the restroom.

“Do you have a date for the Winter Ball?” I heard Fern’s mom ask from the kitchen. I forgot that was today...frick..

I came out, wearing the outfit.

“Umm yeah, Eury is my date.” Fern said. I lifted my head in surprise, looking at them.

“Ohhh as friends?” Her mom asked.

“No, mom. I’m Bi.” Fern said. Way to go Fern! Good job!

Her mom,stared shocked.

“I mean, if it makes you happy, go ahead!” Her mom said,embracing us. I smiled. I heard the bus pull up. AH WE’RE GONNA BE LATE!

“We drive,don’t worry.” Fern said. I sighed and let Fern and her mom have a moment.

School passed quickly and before I knew it, I was in Fern’s room as she searched for an outfit I could wear. She was going to be wearing a silky green dress that shined in the light. She tossed me a few dresses.

“Hm.” I looked through. There was this one outfit that had fishnet legging and a super revealing dress following it. What the hell,Fern.. I eventually narrowed it down to a white,blue,and silver dress with long,draping sleeves or a red rhinestone dress.

Fern tossed a sky blue suit at me.

“I’ll wear this.” I said. I went to the restroom and struggled into my suit. I came downstairs, meeting her parents.

“Ooo you both look lovely!” She said. She took an immense amount of photos of us.

“Okay sweetheart, I think that’s enough.” Her father said.

“Oh I’m sorry, I was just excited is all.” She said,grinning. Fern took her keys and we walked out.

“Bye!” I said, waving as I shut the door.

“You drive.” Fern said.

“U-umm.. is that really a good idea?” I asked, Fern didn’t let me object and was already sitting in the front seat. Oh no, okay schizophrenia, don’t bother me. I climbed into the driver’s seat and had to adjust it so I could see over the dashboard and reach the pedals.

I turned on the ignition and started driving, it was going smoothly.

You’re gonna crash and kill Fern and everyone is going to hate you.

I started to lose focus. Crap, I need to park. I looked, desperate for a place to park, I noticed an exit and I hit the pedal and swerved to the exit. I heard Fern almost scream out of fear,but I swerved in a lot and parked. Frick.Frick.Frick.

I panted,hitting my head against the steering wheel.

“What the hell,Eury?” Fern asked,flustered.

“Look, my schizophrenia is coming back, probably because of the seizure.” I said, getting out of the car.

“Look, let's just skip this, I can’t do this.” I said, shaking. Fern hugged me tightly.

“No, we are going..but I’ll drive.” She said. I sighed and agreed,sitting in the passenger’s seat.

We arrived and Alex took my arm in his and walked me in. Um..okay.

“I thought you were going to wear a dress?” He asked.

“Nah. I mean..I am borrowing Fern’s clothes,sooo…” I said. He shrugged. I looked at Fern and Donny, both looking equally jealous.

“GO DANCE AND MAKE OUT!” Summer yelled. She was wearing a sleeveless midnight blue dress that went to just above her knees. Rose was wearing a backless black dress that had long sleeves.

“May I have this dance?” Alex asked,extending his hand to me. I nodded and put my hand in his, uncomfortably. He took me onto the dance floor and we both swayed to the music.

“Aye Alex, get some girl.” a guy said in the crowd, patting his back and walking off. The song ended and we joined our friends, individually dancing to the music. Fern snuck in alcohol and handed us each a drink. We all gave cheers and drank.

I hung out by the snack table, I was exhausted and stood there while everyone hung out on the other side.

I drank punch from my red solo cup. I felt someone tug my arm into a private room filled with storage equipment. ? I looked and saw Fern, she looked slightly drunk.  

“Uhh Fern, you okay?” I asked. She didn’t respond and grabbed my wrists, shoving me against the wall.

“You look so sexy right now, you know?” Fern said into my ear. I stiffened when she got really close.

“Umm, I mean, I’m in a sky blue suit I borrowed from you..” I mumbled.

She kissed me roughly, biting my lip before letting go.

“...Umm..ow?” I said, pulling away, covering my mouth with my hand. That was...rough…

I stood there,awkwardly against the wall. She suddenly, without warning, pulled on my tie and smashed her lips on mine. My protests were muffled by her mouth. Her tongue found a way to get inside my mouth and she gladly took the opportunity to entwine our tongues together.

“Mmf!!” I tried to protest again but she still persisted. She put her hands on my chest and I fell backwards onto my back,hitting a shelf,but still landing on the floor. Fern didn’t waste any time getting on top of me, undoing my tie, and tying my hands behind my back with it. I suddenly saw a flash and looked to the side, Summer was there and had her phone in front of her, she was shocked and ran out. !!!! I struggled to get up,considering my hands were tied behind my back,but I managed to untie myself and toss the tie aside, running out.

Summer was already showing Alex the photo, he played a sad face, though I knew he didn’t care. He ran onto the stage,suddenly. WAIT WHAT IS HE DOING?!

“Guys, you know me as Eury’s boyfriend, right?” He said into the microphone. People stood,silently staring at him.

“Well, It’s over for me and Eury, I’m dumping you. I have another boyfriend, his name is Donny.” He said. “I’M GAY!” People gasped and 3 people boo’ed. Fern joined him up there.

“And Eury, your the moonlight of my life!” Fern said. Good, she knows I hate ‘the light of your life phrase, and the moon is really pretty..

Some people grabbed me and forced me onto the stage.

“Uhh, I’m a lesbian.” I said. Donny joined us and kissed Alex continuously. Fern grabbed the collar of my shirt and kissed me. Adults eventually came and escorted us out.

We stood there awkwardly for a moment, then burst into laughter. Summer and Rose came outside, looking infuriated.

“Seriously?! You dicks!!” Summer immediately exclaimed.

“What did we do?” Alex asked.

“You tell everyone else before you tell us?!” Rose continued for Summer.

“Well, I mean, we couldn’t trust just anyone with our secret, Eury knew because we knew each other for more than 5 years, it took me 5 years to tell her and the same for her to tell me, not even Fern knew.” Alex said. “And I’ve known her for 4 years.”

“It’s trust issues, Summer and Rose. Our classmates have chased people out of school for being gay.” I added.

“Yeah? Well, you just give us their names and we would’ve beat their ass as soon as we find out who they were!!” Summer exclaimed. “Rose does taekwondo and I do kickboxing.We can definitely beat. Their. Ass.”

“We’ve only known you for less than a semester and it was in the heat of the moment.” I said, getting defensive.

“You two have anything to defend yourselves?!” Rose yelled at Donny and Fern.

Donny immediately put his hands up in a surrender, “I came out a long time ago, everyone knows I’m bisexual.”

“I didn’t think it mattered for people to know, it wasn’t really anyone’s business.” Fern said.

“ARGH!!” both Summer and Rose said together before walking off.

“Hey, where are you going?!” Fern yelled to the two. Summer held up a middle finger in response without even looking back.
