3RD PERSON POV

It was morning and Summer and Alex were the only ones awake.

"Ohh that was great.." Alex mumbled, sitting on a stool,

"Dear lord, couples are annoying. First Eury and Fern deal with some shit in the middle of the night, and y'all two basically broke the box springs." Summer groaned as she leaned against the counter.

"Then don't invite two couples to your home." Alex said as he sipped on his glass of water.

"Eh, but then it'd be boring." Summer said. Their conversation was interrupted by a gentle knock at the door. Summer opened it and was met by two females. One was tall with red haired and rather thicc. She was sporting a leather jacket with a red shirt under it and some dark blue ripped jeans. The other was a black-haired female of a smaller stature who was wearing a blue dress shirt with a black jacket over it and some dark blue jeans.

"May I help you..?" Summer asked, not knowing who the two were.

"Yes, I'm Eury's sister, Titania Porter." The black-haired girl said.

"I'm Blake Porter." The red-haired girl said.

"Nice to meet y'all, I'm Summer." Summer said.

"Is our sister Eury here,by any chance?" Titania asked.

"Oh yeah, let me go get her." Summer said, "Come in if you want to." Summer ran up the stairs to Fern and Eury's room, as Titania and Blake entered.

Summer barged into their room, immediately waking Fern up.

"Your girlfriend has visitors." Summer said, before leaving the room. Fern looked down at Eury, gently shaking her.

"Not now.." Eury mumbled into the pillow.

"Aww come on,babe,or I'll have to make you wake up." Fern said.

"I'll complain either way.." Eury mumbled. Fern smirked as she gently bit Eury's neck, sending her sitting straight up.

"Okay okay.." Eury said,yawning. Fern was already standing up and she pulled Eury to her feet, gently squeezing the girl's hand. Eury smiled and kissed Fern on the cheek, as she walked downstairs and halted when she saw her sisters.

"Dear lord, what do you two want?" Eury said.

"No need to be aggressive we j-" Titania was interrupted by Blake, who held Eury's wrist in one hand and the other on the collar of Eury's hoodie.

"Is that what I think it is?!" She exclaimed as she looked at the purple-reddish mark left on Eury's neck.

"U-um.." Eury stuttered, covering it immediately with her free hand. Fern's footsteps were heard at the stairs above them and Blake looked up to see her ex.

"Who are your visitors b-" Fern cut herself off when she made eye contact with Blake.

"F-fern?" Blake said, letting go of Eury and stepping up the stairs to Fern.

"Blake." Fern said.

"Wait." Blake turned angrily to Eury, "You're dating my ex?!"

"Ex?!" Eury exclaimed, looking up at Fern.

"Blake and I have some history.." Fern mumbled.

"Yeah, then she broke up with me for NO reason." Blake said.

"I broke up with you because you were too stubborn and we'd argue everyday." Fern said.

"Oh whatever, you enjoyed it when we'd f-" Titania interrupted them both.

"Eury, the reason we came was because mother wanted us to bring you home." Titania said.

"Nope, I'm not going." Eury said.

"Okay then, Blake come on." Titania said,standing up.

"Wait..Fern please.." Blake said, looking at Fern with a soft expression.

"No. I love Eury." Fern said, as she pulled Eury into her arms.

"Low move. You date my sister? That's not cool." Blake said, aggravated. "Come on, Eury." Blake pulled Eury's foot, causing Eury to fall backwards and hit her head on the ledge of the stair.

"Ah!" Eury exclaimed out of surprise. Fern's expression darkened as she glared down at Blake.

"You've got 5 seconds to leave me and my girlfriend alone before I beat your ass." Fern said, helping Eury up. Blake looked shocked and nodded reluctantly, leaving quickly with Titania.

"Babe, are you okay?" Fern asked.

"I- can we talk in the room?" Eury mumbled quietly, processing the incident. Fern nodded as she took Eury's hand in hers, but Eury took her hand out of Fern's and walked ahead by herself to the room. Fern sighed, as she walked into the room, shutting it behind them.

"Wow." Summer said.

"I know right?" Alex mumbled. "So glad I'm not a Porter.."

"Please explain." Eury said.

"Okay..so basically, Blake and I met through mutual friends. I thought she was pretty cool and hot, she treated me kindly and more loving than the others. One day, she asked me out in the eighth grade and I said Yes. It went well at first, we went on the occasional dinner date, but then she became more controlling and angry and I was intimidated and angry. We argued to the point where she'd throw stuff. I had to leave, so I broke up with her." Fern explained.

"Did y'all ever..." Eury stopped herself.

"She wanted to, but I told her not now, that it was too early." Fern said. This relieved Eury.

"How did I not know.." Eury mumbled.

"She knew us two were friends and she wanted it secret so her parents wouldn't hear." Fern said.

"So why did you pick me over Titania or her?" Eury asked. Fern smiled softly and placed Eury in her lap.

"Because you're more unique than them." She said.

"But they're better looking. I'm just a-" Fern hushed her.

"I don't want to hear you degrade yourself like that. You're beautiful and strong and unique and I love you for you." Fern said,kissing her. Eury stayed silent after that.

"Are you mad?" Fern asked, worried.

"No no, I'm just hurt that you didn't tell me sooner. It's okay,though." She responded.

"So..will I be joining you during therapy?" Fern asked.

"Maybe." Eury said, resting her head against Fern's arm. Fern smiled as she let Eury rest in her arms.

"How can your siblings be so good-looking and then..you!?" Donny exclaimed.

"Gee thanks." Eury said.

"And you dated her sister!? Damn that's cold." Summer said.

"Shut up." Fern said.

"Eury, you're so dead." Alex said. "Blake is going to murder you."

"Ugghhh I knowww..." Eury groaned.

"I still have that video from middle school when Blake used to fight you all the time, for fun." Alex said, pulling out his phone.

He leaned on the counter so everyone could see it. Blake was on top of Eury and Eury was trying to escape from her grip. Blake turned Eury over onto her stomach and held her in a choke hold. You can hear Eury's choked and muffled pleas as her face turned red. Titania interferes, saving Eury from the fight.

"Oh my god, you are dead." Summer said. Fern's phone went off. It was Blake.

"God this girl." Fern mumbled as she hung up.

"She's probably going to kidnap me in my sleep or something.." Eury mumbled.

"Aww don't worry, your babe will be here to protect you." Fern said.

"Why don't we do something to get her mind off of it?" Alex suggested, he was being more understanding than usual.

"Like?" Fern asked.

"Maybe going to a restaurant, movie,y'know something." Alex said.

"Hm, I guess we all could do those, what do you say Eury?" Rose asked.

"Might as well enjoy my last day on this planet." Eury mumbled, as she got up.

The group was eating food at a restaurant, it had almost been a whole day and no encounters!

"I'm going to go get my phone from the car." Eury said, getting up. She walked out of the restaurant, grabbing her phone from Donny's car. As she stood out of the car looking at her phone, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned and the side of her face was shoved against the window. Eury managed to get a glimpse of Blake.

"Let's find out who is truly worthy of Fern." Blake said.

"B-blake you don't have to- oowww." Eury cut herself off from Blake pressing her harder against the window. Eury pulled backwards and crouched down, escaping Blake's grip.

"Smart, aren't we? That won't help you." Blake said as she pulled Eury by the collar to an empty area near the restaurant. Blake shoved Eury against the fence.

"Go ahead, I'll give you a free shot." Blake said, standing completely still.

Eury hesitantly punched the tall girl in the stomach, causing her to double over.

"Nice shot, next time try harder." Blake said, as she lunged at Eury. Eury moved over, causing Blake to ram into the fence.

"Dodgy?" Blake said,smirking. She quickly punched Eury's cheek then grabbed Eury and shoved her into the fence again.

"F-Fern.." Eury mumbled,scared.

"Calling her now!?" Blake said. "You need to learn to fight for yourself! You are always calling for help! Desperate heck." She kicked Eury. Eury managed to crawl away quickly and stand.

"What are you going to do?" Blake asked, tauntingly.

"I-I don't know,but if this is for Fern t-then I won't stop. I love Fern and treat her right, unlike you." Eury said. "So beat me up all you want, but I won't give up unless you knock me out or kill me."

"Haha, romance can't help you now." Blake said.

"What's taking Eury so long..the dessert Fern ordered for her is melting." Donny mumbled.

"I'll go check." Fern said getting up and looking for Eury around the parking lot.

"GIVE IT UP YOU LITTLE BITCH." She heard a familiar voice yell from a distance. Fern heard the sound of a familiar sob.

"Eury!" Fern exclaimed, running towards where the noise was. She saw Eury's head drooped as she sat on her knees, Blake held her by the hair.

"Stupid bitch." Blake mumbled as she pulled her knee back, ready to knee Eury in the face. As she did, Fern uppercut Blake in the stomach, sending her backwards.

"F-Fern!" Blake exclaimed.

"What the fuck is wrong with you!?" Fern exclaimed, as she was helping Eury who had trouble getting up

"I-I did this for you!" Blake said.

"I already said I don't want you! I'm not something you can just own by showing dominance!" Fern exclaimed, frustrated.

"But-" Blake started.

"But nothing! We aren't animals!" Fern exclaimed.

"You're just like all of them!" Blake exclaimed. "You ungrateful brat!"

"Why would I be grateful that you're beating up my partner!?" Fern argued.

"Because I deserve you more! Do you know how imperfect this idiot is?" Blake exclaimed.

"Well she's perfect for me!" Fern said. "Now, go and get over yourself or either I will A) fight you, B) get a restraining order, or C) Both."

"But..I-I love you Fern! Please..I can't live without you.." Blake mumbled, tearing up.

"Blake, look at me." Fern said. Blake looked up at her, teary.

"Letting go...isn't easy,but it'll be let go eventually. If you keep doing this shit, you'll never let go and move on." Fern said.

"I...you're right.." Blake mumbled, as she stood up straight. "Bye Fern, Bye Eur." Blake walked off, her hands in her pockets.

Fern watched then turned back to Eury. "Hey..you okay?" Fern asked, worried, as she looked into Eury's eyes.

"I guess.." Eury mumbled,lying.

"..Are you sure? You look pretty messed up." Fern said, running her fingers on Eury's bruised cheek gently. Eury flinched slightly at this gesture,but let it happen.

"It's just a few scrapes and bruises...at least I think it is." Eury answered.

"You have a really bloody lip as well.." Fern added, with a concerned look on her face.

"Oh..I didn't notice.." Eury said, "Let's just go back inside the restaurant because the others will get worried."

"Maybe we should go home and get you cleaned up.." Fern said, cupping her hand gently around the bruise.

"Yeah, okay I agree." Eury said,holding onto Fern for support. Fern picked Eury without a warning.

"Ah! Don't drop me!" Eury exclaimed, holding onto her tightly.

"I've got you." Fern replied.

"So are we going to tell the others?" Eury asked.

"We don't need to, if your hurt, we need to get you cleaned right away" Fern said.

"I mean, at least like a message or something.." Eury said, "it could be rude."

"I guess, I'll take us to the bus stop." Fern said, as she started walking. Eury pulled out her-now cracked- phone and messaged them.

"The bus stop is a couple minutes away from us, the bus comes at 7:55." Fern said

"You really don't have to do this.." Eury said.

"I don't mind." Fern replied. Eury felt slightly bad for putting Fern through that. They spend 8 minutes walking until they finally arrived at the stop.

"We're here, now we wait here 2 more minutes." Fern said, as she helped Eury off her back. A feral dog approached them and started barking. Eury immediately as far back as she could.

"No no no dog! U-uh fetch!" Fern said throwing a invisible stick. It growled and barked louder at Fern now.

"Uhhhh what do I do, what do you want?!" Fern said in panic. It bent back to lunge at her. It beared it's jaws, showing obvious signs of rabies.

"Fern!" Eury exclaimed reaching for her, but it was too late, the dog lunged at her, biting her arm. Eury used most of her strength and kicked the dog, scaring it off.

"Fern, oh no, we need to go to the ER!" Eury said.

"OW- AH B-BUT WHAT ABOUT YOU?!" Fern said with mixed emotions on her face.

"That doesn't matter, here." Eury took off her jacket, wrapping it tightly around Fern's arm. "It's going to hurt, but I don't want to risk blood loss."

"Errrr- how are we going to get there!!! I can't be in the bus with other people seeing me like this!!" Fern panicked.

"U-um." Eury looked around. "Get on my back, I'll carry you while running to the hospital and looking for a faster mode of transportation." Eury said. Fern looked at her looking terrified.

"Your hurt! I-I don't want to put you in more pain!!!" Fern said, tearing up.

"Fine then..I guess I'm breaking a law today." Eury said as she approached a nearby car and punched through the window. Fern looked at her like she was crazy.

"Fuck." She mumbled as she unlocked it and grabbed the spare keys. She rushed over to Fern and pulled her up with her good arm.

"WHY-" Fern said cutting herself off noticing Eury's bloody arm. "Oh god!" Fern looked around and spotted a t-shirt in the backseat. "Here! Wrap this around your arm!" Fern said. The T-shirt smelled like alcohol.

"You need the T-shirt more." Eury said, sitting in the driver seat.

"Crap..I don't know how to drive." Eury mumbled quietly, starting the car

"Wait WHAT- Eh uh.." Fern said.

"Hold on tight." Eury said, as she pressed down on the gas pedal, sending the car forward. Fern held onto the handle tightly.

"WHAT THE FU-" Fern said terrified

"Shh, I can't focus on the r-" Eury quickly swerved when she almost hit the car in front of her. "road..". They were both sweating.

"We're gonna die." Fern mumbled quietly.

Eury looked out the broken window, steering with her bad arm. "Okay I think that sign says we're almost th-" Eury quickly swerved and hit the brakes on the side. "Fuck, my arm." She shook off the pain and waited for the chance to start driving. Fern closed her eyes and inhaled. Eury floored the gas pedal, as she sent it going way past the speed limit. She saw the hospital entrance and quickly swerved, grazing a sign as sheparked horribly in the parking lot.

"B-be careful!" Fern exclaimed. Eury stayed silent as she slowly pulled up to the front of the ER entrance.

"Okay, go inside. I'll catch up after this car sickness wears off." Eury said,slightly pale.

"Come with me! If your going to throw up do it outside." Fern suggested

"Fine, hold on." Eury said, as she drove to the nearest parking spot and parked. She got out and came up to Fern.

"We're not dead" Fern said, relieved, putting her head on Eury's shoulder.

"Y-yu-" Eury covered her mouth, nauseous. "L-let's go inside."

"Okay..." Fern said. Eury went inside and quickly checked Fern in.

"We're both getting checked, right?" Fern asked.

"Just you." Eury said, "I don't like hospitals."

"But you're Hurt!" Fern said.

"I can fix this at home." Eury said as she pulled out a glass shard from her arm. Fern flinched.

"You might leave little shards of glass inside your wound!" Fern mumbled to Eury. Eury merely shrugged.

"I-I'll be fine.." Eury said, her voice shaking slightly.

"I'll be right back." Fern said as she got up. Eury nodded. Fern walked over to check Eury in.

"It's risky but- it's best for her.." Fern thought to herself.

Eury waited for Fern, she felt slightly dizzy,but shrugged it off. Fern walked quickly over to her seat.

"Hey, you doing alright?" Fern asked.

Hold on

"Yeah.." Eury mumbled. Foam started to come from Fern's mouth. "Umm Fern..?". Fern began to have a seizure. Eury caught Fern.

"Ah! Help!" Eury exclaimed as a few nurses came out and put Fern on the stretcher, rolling her to a hospital room.

"Eury Porter?" A lady called from the room.

"Yes?" Eury asked.

"We're ready for you to come in" the lady said with a sweet smile.

"Fern..you're lucky you're sick.." Eury sighed as she followed the lady.

The nurses were able to tend to Fern quickly and effectively, her discharge date being the next day.

"Hi Fern! We came to tell you that you'll be discharged tomorrow morning!" The nurse told her. "Feel free to roam around, but take the buzzer."

"O-okay, thank you..." Fern said, leaving the room.

"We need another doctor in room 506." A nurse said, "Patient won't let us near her." The nurse rushed down the hall to find a doctor.

"That must be Eury." Fern said, not surprised. She searched for room 506.

"504, 505, ah! 506" fern said gladly

"Get your needle away from me!" Eury exclaimed, kicking the needle out of the doctor's hands.

"Eury!" Fern said, joyful.

"Oh hey Fern. Are you okay now?" She asked.

"I feel a little weak, But I feel a little better than yesterday! How are you?" she said, as looked at the doctor.

"oh,just swell." Eury said. The doctor took another risky attempt and Eury slapped it out of his hands. Fern snorted.

"So, what will it take for you to take this shot?" Fern asked.

"Nothing, because I won't." Eury said.

"Please?" Fern asked. Eury shook her head. Fern looked at the doctor.

"Have you guys took out all the glass shards in her arm?" Fern asked.

"That's the issue. She won't let us and there's some stuck inside, so we have to do like a mini surgery." The doctor said.

"Eury just let him numb it." Fern said.

"No." Eury said.

"I'm sorry Eury but- Do you have anything for her to fall asleep? She can't deal with needles." She asked the doctor

"The sleeping medication is a shot,too." He said, "We either have to leave it be or restrain her."

"Eury please! Do it for me!" Fern said. Eury shook her head.

"I'd rather die." Eury said.

"Eury, you've got to listen to me," Fern said. "I know you don't like getting shots but it's for your health, don't you want to get better?".

"No." Eury answered,seriously. Fern planned to be sad to make Eury feel the need to take the shot.

"O-okay...I'll be waiting in my room.." Fern said sadly. Eury felt slightly bad.

"I.." Eury tried to figure out what to say. Fern turned to see what she would say.

"Nevermind." Eury said.

"Crap my plan didn't work!" Fern thought to herself. Eury thought for a second, letting her guard down. The nurses and doctors took this opportunity. The nurses held her back as the doctor injected the shot. Eury kicked the doctor away from her and she elbowed a nurse away. Fern turned to see all this happening. She ran to Eury feeling weak, to hug her.

"It's okay! It's okay!" Fern exclaimed.

Eury stayed silent, slightly shocked and scared at once.

"It's just going to numb your arm so you feel no pain!" Fern said, still hugging Eury.

"..Okay.." Eury said.

"Now we'll begin the actual procedure." The doctor said, keeping one nurse on stand-by. He pulled out a tray with surgical materials.

"No!" Eury said, "You already put a sharp needle through my skin, I am not letting you cut open my arm with those."

"Eury, come on, just lay back." Fern said, gently pushing Eury onto her back. "I'll sit right here and make sure they don't do anything, and whatever you do, don't look at it." Fern cupped her hand under Eury's cheek as she looked at her,smiling.

"I..okay.." Eury said, looking at Fern in adoration.

The procedure took about 3 hours, within those three, the group came.

"Oh my god, Eury you broke a law!?" Summer exclaimed, "That is awesome!"

"So let me get this in order. You got into a fight with Blake which is why you have.." Alex stopped himself as he poked the bruise on her cheek, causing a flinch as the pained reaction. "And so you were going home through public transport, a feral dog came and attacked Fern. Eury stole a car, illegally drove, and sped all at once. You guys came here and are now on bed rest for a day or two, right?"

"Yes, that's the gist of it." Eury said, her cast-wrapped arm resting in the sling.

"I so wish I was there for all of that." Summer laughed.

"Well, certainly it was exciting." Donny said.

"Okay well, I guess we should leave, visiting hours are over.." Skyler interjected. They nodded and left.

Fern sat on the edge of Eury's bed.

"Room for one more..?" Fern asked. Eury scoot over,allowing her space. Fern laid down next to Eury.

"I'm sorry today was horrible.." Fern mumbled, nuzzling Eury's neck.

"Don't worry..it was at least helpful.." Eury said as rested her head on Fern's collarbone.

Fern couldn't help,but feel it was her fault. She looked down at the smaller girl resting in her arms.

"You don't deserve her.." Fern mumbled, as she felt tears run down her face.
