Welcome to the beginning of Chaos Mitch and Jakey! We have cookies. (Chapter 3)

If someone walked in on Mitch and Jakey, they would probably be concerned for Mitch's sanity at the very moment. The unfortunate demigod was screaming into his hands. It was one of those screams that would make anyone feel worried at the sound of it made it even worrisome that it was coming from one of the more laidback campers of Camp Oasis.

"We played mine switch together twenty times. No, more times in the past. Though somehow now I can't even push the right buttons anymore!", Mitch complained as he let out the situation at hand.

Jakey giggled, patting his brother on the back. " Don't worry. You'll get used to it again in no time!". Trying to reassure him at the best of his capabilities.

"But you won't be able to beat me." Jakey added, causing Mitch to gather himself again, grinning as he replied, "You sure about that?"

Jakey nudged him in the shoulder with his elbow, letting out a chuckle "Hah! Positive.".

There was once again the ease they once had earlier as the brothers were trying to adjust back to that bond they once had. Don't get them wrong. They already had an inseparable bond. But at times, it was slightly uncomfortable for both of them at the mention of Jakey and Mitch's past relationship that ended a while ago. But at least it had ended, and the toxic feelings towards each other had faded.
Honestly, from what the brothers knew, most of the toxic relationships in Camp Oasis had ceased down. Somehow from the fact that just two days ago, when the property's chaos insured. The demigods who had tense relationships were at each other's throats earlier in a clash. Hopefully, it will cease down, and the children of gods would get into a healthier environment among each other.

But still, some of the relationships will remain tense if something won't change. Because some critical people among the world may perish because events from the chaos we're still proceeding.

That was when Mitch noticed a white glow coming from the tv, and the underground base started to have an unknown presence of magic that was attempting to enter the world. A presence of magic that was never supposed to try to ender to begin.

Narrowing his eyes, He tried to scoot closer to Jakey. An unconscious act to guard him from whatever may occur next.

Mitch then questioned his brother, " Is it supposed to do that--.".

      C

             L

                   A

                            N

                                     K

The mind switch remotes fell to the ground, the screens both shattering in the prosses of gravity, which was the most typical part out of the occurrence.

But both of the demigods who were once there had disappeared.

Jakey raced in a frenzy to keep up with Bryan and Lo'pho, Who were considerably ahead of him. The chase was making him repeatedly wonder how were they even that fast to begin with, Kay was sharing these thoughts as she was struggling to do the same. Both of the cookie loving protectors we're just clinging upon the inadequate amount of strength they had stored inside, that was already used up upon a shopping spree.

Even though with Bryan's and Lopho's speed, the runaway still maintained numerous distance from them. They appeared to keep in shape or was feeding off of adrenaline. The latter was what Jakey's mind decided on.

Overall, the protectors were trailing behind the "Criminal." The attempt to catch them was to no avail at the moment.

He then got an idea that may help the situation. He waved his staff as used some mana stored in him to cast a teleportation spell, teleporting Lo'pho in front of the runaway.

Luckily for Lo'pho's quick reaction speed, the cat quickly addressed the position and promptly seized onto one of the strangers' wings. Twisting it into a spot where if they moved, they might snap the bones located within. And as the runaway winced from the sudden jolt of tension. Lop'ho pinned them down onto the ground where they'd be more vulnerable.

"We've caught you thief! Give up!" Lo'pho declared to the supposed thief.

"Theif..?"

The Protectors frozen on the spot, the voice was all too familiar. It was undeniably familiar to their beloved guild leader. But it was way too different as well..

Now that Jakey noticed, the person in front of him had similarities to the dead guild leader. Her hair had the same smooth look. And her facial features matched her's as well.

Though the wings put them all on guard, the white feathers had never been present on the dragon queen.  And silky white dress that flowed down to her feet wasn't exactly the outfit aesthetic Bri would wear. And the horns also shared the pearly white shine of the wings.

The person in front of them wasn't Bri but was at the same time. The protectors knew this when they finally addressed her appearance.

But the question was, why?
