The Wish
Today was the day. The day Rapunzel would marry her true love, Princess Cassandra. She was sitting in the carriage on the ride to the castle, when she realized her dress was still at home.
"Are you really gonna wear the usual outfit to your wedding Raps?" Pascal asked. Rapunzel gasped.
"I LEFT MY DRESS AT HOME?! WE NEED TO GO BACK!!!" She yelled.
"Listen Raps, stay calm, I'm sure Cassie-" Rapunzel cut him off
"Oh she doesn't like it when people call her that. She told me yesterday."
"Ok well I'm sure Cass wouldn't like her bride to be late, so we'll get the birds to bring it!" Pascal said.
"I completely agree, so I guess Leo can get it..." Rapunzel said. Leo, a bluebird, flew in with her dress and put it on her. "Hmmmm... something feels off. Gloves, maybe?" Birds flew in and put gloves on her. "Oh it's my hair! Isn't it. Oh but keep the gloves, I like them." Rabbits hopped in and did her hair. "You know what? Do whatever you want with my look. I trust you guys!" All the forest animals rushed in and added their own touch to her look, but by the time they arrived, not everyone had their turn. There were two little rabbits who still had a ribbon for her, and 2 little birds still had her crown.
"Welcome to the castle miss!" Tiri said.
"Am I late?!" Rapunzel asked bursting the door open right into Zhan tiri's face. "Oops..."
"No you're not..." she said.
"Oh thank goodness..." Rapunzel said, and ran towards the castle doors.
"Rapunzel! Come back! We're not done with you yet!" All the animals called and raced out of the carriage, stampeding over Zhan Tiri. The two little rabbits tied a bow around Rapunzel's waist, and the birds set her crown on her head, and she ran straight into the castle.
When Tiri got to the door, she closed it just before the animals could get in. She stuck her tongue out at them while she did it too. "AY WHADD'YA THINK WE ARE, RUBBISH?!" Pascal shouted. He was very easily offended. He wanted to watch his friend get married. Nothing could stop him from doing that. He climbed up the castle to find somewhere to watch the wedding.
With Rapunzel, she was walking through the gardens when a little old lady came up to her. "Ah, what a lovely bride!" She said.
"Oh, well thank you, but I need to get to my wedding now," Rapunzel said.
"Oh, but granny has a gift for you! Come with me!" Said the old woman, and grabbed Rapunzel. Apparently her protests didn't reach the woman's ears. " 'Tis a wishing well my dear! A wish on your wedding day! Why it's the most magical of all!" She said, leading her towards a waterfall built into the wall (hey that rhymes!). There was a hole in the ground for the waterfall to go into, but it seemingly had no end. Meanwhile Pascal was on top of the wall, and noticed them. He decided to watch, after all, this was his best friend. Nothing would happen to her on his watch!
"Lean in close, and look for your heart's dream," said the old woman. Rapunzel did as she was told.
"And then, they lived happily eve- AAAAAAAAAH!" She screamed, being cut off by the old woman pushing her down the well. Pascal saw all of this and immediately panicked.
"OH NO! PRINCESS CASSANDRA! THERE'S AN EMERGENCY! WE NEED PRINCESS CASSANDRA!" He said, and ran off for help. Down in the garden, Zhan Tiri ran over to the woman, who was casting a spell, and then transformed into the beautiful Queen Gothel.
"Um, Your highness, if I may ask... where did you send her?" Zhan Tiri asked.
"To a place where there are no 'Happily Ever Afters'..."
